Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish a hot-water temperature control having an excellent follow-up characteristic which is suitable for use in winter season and contributes to making a water heater smaller in size, by a method wherein an insulated hot-water storage tank is located on the downstream side of a heat exchanger, and pumps and valves are furnished each on the downstream side of the insulated hot-water storage tank and the upstream side of the heat exchanger in a hot water path provided with an ON-OFF valve.
CONSTITUTION: An ON-OFF valve 4 is furnished on a water path 3, an insulated hot-water storage tank 5 is located downstream a heat exchanger 1, and a pump 6 and a valve 7 are provided between the downstream side of the insulated hot-water tank 5 and the upstream side of the heat exchanger 1, thus forming a circulating path 8. Thereby, the hot water in the insulated hot water storage tank 5 is supplied after mixed with city water from the water path 3 until water is heated up in the heat exchanger 1 by the combustion of a burner 12 and supplied from a hot water tap 9 after hot water supply is started, so that the hot water having a specified temperature or a temperature close to the specified temperature can be used in a short time period. As the hot water in the insulated hot water storage tank 5 is supplied after mixed with city water, the hot water having a higher temperature can be stored, causing a reduction in the volume of the insulated hot-water storage tank 5 required for storing a necessary heat quantity.
