Abstract

PURPOSE: To execute the writing processing of data without fail and to eliminate the undesired extension of a processing time by interrupting time counting operation only for a time corresponding to an interrupted time in a timer as well when the processing is interrupted according to a data reading request which is issued during data writing processing.
CONSTITUTION: When the data reading request is outputted during the data writing processing, the processing is temporarily interrupted and desired data are read. Then, during the period of data reading and during the output rise time of a charge pump circuit 1131, the time counting operation of a timer 1132 is interrupted. When the count operation of a counter 1137 is advanced and a time T2 required for erasing data passes, the timer 1132 generates an erase ending signal EWEN. With responding to the signal, a sequencer 1130 sets a charge pump enable signal CPEN to a low level and further, reset pulse RS is generated. Then, the counter 1137 is reset and an writing circuit is activated, and data writing operation is started. Thus, the data writing processing can be automatically and securely executed without undesirably extending the processing time.
