(Prior Art) Clip-type electrodes are generally used as electrodes attached to the limbs of a subject to measure an electrocardiogram.
An example of this clip type electrode is shown in FIG. This clip-type electrode 15 consists of a clip 1 and a metal plate 2. The clip 1 has a pair of curved synthetic resin plates 4a and 4b mutually supported by a shaft 3, and one end side of these synthetic resin plates 4a and 4b is held close to each other by a plate spring 5. energized. One end side of the synthetic resin plates 4a, 4b serves as a holding part 6 for holding the wrist or ankle of the subject, and the other end side holds the holding part 6 when pressed close to each other. It is a handle part 7 that can be opened. The metal plate 2 includes a plate-shaped electrode portion 8 curved along the inner wall of the holding portion 6, and two grips formed by bending the electrode portion 8 at two opposing sides to grip the holding portion 6. It consists of pieces 9a, 9b and a terminal 10 for connecting a cord provided at the tip of one gripping piece 9a. FIG. 6 is a sectional view taken along the line X--X shown in FIG. 5. As shown in FIG. 6, the gripping pieces 9a, 9b have protrusions 11a, 11b facing each other.
These protrusions 11a and 11b are arranged so that the metal plate 2
This prevents it from coming off inward. The metal plate 2 configured in this manner can be attached to and detached from the holding portion 6 due to its elasticity.

Conventionally, when attaching such a clip-type electrode 15 to the wrist or ankle of a subject, an electrode paste is applied to the measurement site on the subject's skin, and the electrode portion 8 is attached to the subject through the electrode paste. was pressed against the skin of The reason why the electrode paste is used in this way is that if the subject's skin and the electrode section 8 come into direct contact, the contact impedance will be high and accurate potential cannot be detected. However, in the method using electrode paste, the work of applying the electrode paste and the work of wiping off the electrode paste after measurement are complicated, and the application of the electrode paste causes discomfort to the subject. Therefore, recently, electrode pads that are both electrically conductive and highly elastic have been used. This electrode pad is formed into a plate shape according to the shape of the electrode section 8, and is interposed between the electrode section 8 and the skin of the subject during use.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) When attaching a clip-type electrode to a subject using an electrode pad, it is convenient if the electrode pad is attached to the electrode portion of the clip-type electrode in advance. Therefore, conventionally, electrode pads were formed of a material with adhesive properties, and were attached to the surface of the electrode section using the adhesive force of the electrode pads.

However, with the method of attaching the electrode pad to the electrode part using the adhesive strength of the material, when the clip-type electrode is removed from the patient, the electrode pad may remain in close contact with the patient's skin. It is not possible to reliably remove the electrode pad at the same time as removing the clip-type electrode. Therefore, when the clip-type electrode is frequently attached to and detached from the subject, for example when the measurement site is to be corrected, the work is complicated.
