PURPOSE: To obtain the durable heating wire material by using Fe, Cr and Al as essential components, incorporating the elements such as REM thereto and regulating the contents of other components.
CONSTITUTION: The above material having the alloy compsn. essentially constituted of, by weight, 16.0 to 21.0% Cr, 3.8 to 6.0% Al and the balance Fe, contg., as the elements for improving life value, 0.01 to 0.10 REM and one or both of 0.001 to 0.010% Ca and 0.01 to 0.20% Zr and in which other components are regulated to ≤0.10% C, ≤1.5% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, ≤0.045% P, ≤0.003% S, ≤1.0% Cu, ≤1.0% Ni, ≤1.0% Mo and ≤0.05% N is prepd. If required, as the elements for improving workability, one or both of 0.10 to 0.50% Ti and 0.01 to 0.10% Nb are furthermore incorporated into the above compsn.
