Abstract

PURPOSE: To accelerate the access speed to an optical disk by performing delivery/reception of signals between a master computer and memory section which stores data read out from the optical disk through an S/P converting section.
CONSTITUTION: In the write mode a memory section 1 is connected with an S/P converting section 3 side. As a result, write data sent from a master computer are converted into serial data at the converting section 3 and, at the same time, stored in the memory section 1. In the readout mode, on the other hand, data RDATA read out from an optical disk are stored in the memory section 1 as they are. In the comparison mode, the master computer compares the write data with readout data fetched from the memory section 1 and measures a data error and data error rate. Moreover, when a write and readout signals are previously stored in the memory section 1 in the form of serial signals and delivery/reception of data with the master computer is performed through the converting section 3, the access speed to the optical disk can be accelerated.
