Abstract

PURPOSE: To know the part and degree of malfunction occurring quantitatively by a method wherein analysis is performed after oscillation waveforms are processed so that only objective data can securely be acquired, and only components concerned are extracted to calculated and display the malfunction degree necessary for diagnosis.
CONSTITUTION: Vibration waveforms 16 of a case 12 originating from respective gears 4 to 10 detected by a vibration meter 14 are input to a waveform input unit 30 via a BPF 18 and an envelope processor 20. In addition a label 22 provided on a rotation axis with the gears 6, 8 fixed is detected by a rotating sensor 24 attached on the case 12 and at each rotation of the rotation axis it is detected as a rotation pulse 26, so that it is supplied to the input unit 30 as an external pulse signal 28. With this signal 28 as a start-up instruction, the output from the processor 20 is acquired into the input unit 30, and waveforms from the input unit 30 up to the number set by an average number setting unit 32 are summed up and averaged 34 to be input to a spectrum extracting unit 40 via a Fourier transform unit 36. Then in the extracting unit 40, based on calculated 38 rotation frequency, frequency components necessary for diagnosis are extracted to have the malfunction ratio calculated 42 and displayed 44.
