Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate an intermediate process of annealing and to automatically carry out lubricating treatment by forming chemical conversion coatings on the surface of a round bar stock, making an intermediate stock having a large diameter head part through upsetting and supplying lubricant and extruding the stock before it obtains a prescribed hardness by age hardening.
CONSTITUTION: The chemical conversion coating such as phosphate coating is formed on the surface of the round bar stock W1, set in a cavity 2 of a die 1, and extruded by a punch 3 to obtain an intermediate stock W3. The intermediate stock W2 is set in a cavity 12 of a die 11 and formed by a punch 13 to obtain an intermediate stock W3. The stock W3 is set in a cavity 22 of a die 21 before it takes a prescribed hardness by age hardening, lubricant O is supplied and the stock is formed by a punch 23 to obtain an intermediate stock 4. Then, annealing and phosphate coating by bonderizing are carried out to improve the dimensional accuracy, ironed by another ironing die having a different cavity shape to obtain a cup-shaped part W5 having an axis. In this way, the annealing as the intermediate process and the intermediate bonderizing can be eliminated to continuously form cup-shaped part from the round bar stock and, besides, the stepped parts on the shaft parts, as well.
