Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of treatment by heated aeration by using the heat of the desorbed gas from an adsorption tower as the heat source for an aeration tank in the treatment of waste water contg. org. solvent by the heated aeration method.
CONSTITUTION: The org. solvent contained in raw gas is adsorbed by an adsorbent in the adsorption tower 3, and the raw gas is cleaned and discharged into the atmosphere. Steam is sent into the adsorption tower 3 saturated with the solvent to desorb the solvent and to regenerate the adsorbent. The gaseous mixture (desorbed gas) of solvent and steam is introduced into a heat exchanger 13 of the aeration tank 7 from a pipe 4 to heat the water to be treated contg. org. solvent, condensed, and sent to a separator 6. The condensate is separated in the separator, and separated into a solvent layer 6a and a water layer 6b. The solvent layer 6a is drawn off as a recovered solvent. The water layer 6b is introduced into the aeration tank 7 as water to be treated. The water is aerated therein and heated by the heat exchanger 13, the solvent dissolved in the water layer 7b is discharged into a vapor layer 7a, and the water layer 7b can be discharged. The vapor layer 7a is treated in an waste gas treating device 16, or returned to the adsorption tower 3.
