Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the peak current and the heat loss by increasing the frequency of a carrier wave within a specific angle centering around a peak current point.
CONSTITUTION: An electrical angle from the zero point of a voltage command signal to the peak current is found from the power factor angle of AC power transmitted by a PWM inverter 1 and an electrical angle of the output current of said inverter 1 starting from the zero point thereof and reaching the positive or negative peak value. The frequency of a carrier wave within a specific angle centering around the peak current is set higher than that out of the specific angle. Thereby the peak current and the heat loss can be decreased.
