Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the posture or sheet at high accuracy by correcting the shift while the inclination of the sheet is regulated, joining the sheet to a joint part and providing turning members correcting the skew of the sheet downstream of the joint part. CONSTITUTION:While moving toward guide plates 6 and 7, the sheet is fed by the inclination belts 4 and 5 of a shift correcting mechanism. At this time, the posture of the sheet changes from 1a to 1b. A register mechanism 8 consisting of the turning members 8a and 8b are arranged downstream of the shift correcting mechanisms 17 and 18 and a distance L shorter than the length (l) of the sheet from the guide plates 6 and 7. The symbol 1a shows the posture right before the sheet passes by the shift correcting mechanisms 17 ad 18 and butts the register mechanism 8. By abutting sheet 1 on the turning members 8a and 8b, its posture changes to 1c, and the skew is corrected to secure a desired posture. Thus, the posture of the sheet can be controlled at high accuracy.
