Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the two-stage compression of coolant with a simple structure by installing the low and high stage side compression mechanisms inside a sealed shell and opening a discharge pipe of the low stage side compression mechanism and a suction pipe of the rear stage side compression mechanism into the sealed shell.
CONSTITUTION: In the title sealed type rotary compressor 1 used in a refrigeration cycle is equipped with a motor 3 consisting of a stator 3a, rotor 3b, and a rotary shaft 3c in the upper part inside a nearly cylindrical sealed shell 2, and a low stage side compression mechanism 4 and a rear stage side compression mechanism 5 are arranged in the lower part inside the sealed shell 2. Each compression mechanism 4, 5 is constituted so that coolant is sucked and compressed by eccentric-revolving each piston 4b, 5b fitted onto each eccentric roller shaft 4a, 5a installed onto the rotary shaft 3c, in each cylinder 9, 10 onto which each vane 4c, 5c is installed in slidable ways. The discharge pipe 4e of the low stage side compression mechanism 4 and the suction pipe 5e of the rear stage side compression mechanism 5 are opened into the sealed shell 2.
