Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disk substrate superior in transfer accuracy and low in error rate by forming a stamper in projecting shape via a bag made of rubber, spreading ultraviolet ray hardening type resin on a transparent plate, and hardening and transferring the resin by an ultraviolet ray.
CONSTITUTION: The stamper 4 is held at an outer frame incorporating the bag 1 made of rubber with a stamper presser 5, and the transparent plate 6 is fixed on a substrate holding panel 8, and the ultraviolet ray hardening type resin 7 is dropped in the center of the plate. Next, the stamper 4 is formed in the projecting shape by inserting with pressure the air to the bag 1, and the resin 7 is spread to the outer peripheral side of the transparent plate 6 by descending the outer frame 3. And after the stamper 4 is located in parallel with the transparent plate 6, the ultraviolet ray is projected from the panel 8 side, and mold releasing from the outer peripheral side is performed by ascending the outer frame 3. As a result, a disk substrate 10 in which a transfer layer 7a of hardened resin is unified with the transparent plate 6 can be obtained. In such a way, it is possible to manufacture the optical disk substrate with the superior transfer accuracy and the low error rate.
