Abstract

PURPOSE: To control a temperature in a room where there is no user after his going out, and to enhance the comfortableness of a room temperature at the time of his returning home and the operation efficiency of an air conditioner by operating a compressor in the condition of reducing its ability until a preset time elapses and by comparing the room temperature with an indoor thermostat preset temperature which is slided.

CONSTITUTION: At a moment when an instruction on going-out operation control is issued, an indoor thermostat preset temperature T₀ is automatically shifted to T₀±α (at the time of a cooling operation, T₀+α and, at the time of a heating operation, T₀-α). At the same time, an indoor air quantity and an outdoor air quantity are controlled to a gentle air, and a compressor also carries out an operation reducing its ability. After this capability reduction operation of the compressor is carried out, a room temperature T₁ is deducted from the thermostat preset temperature T₀±α which has been slided and, if its value is not more than β, the ability reduction operation of the compressor is further carried out to reduce its cooling (heating) capability. Thereafter, this operation is continued and, when a going-out operation start time comes to a preset time t₁, the compressor and an outdoor blower are made to stop their operations. Further, when a preset time t₂ has elapsed after the stopping of the operations of the compressor and blower, the compressor operates again for the t₁ time in the condition of the capability reduction operation, and the outdoor blower also operates in the condition of blowing a gentle air.
