[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a method for painting flat plate materials such as furniture and pianos that require surface and end coating, and in particular, by using a flow coater, high quality flat plate materials can be coated in a short time. The purpose of this invention is to eliminate the difference in coating between the flat part and the end part of this flat coated material.

As shown in FIG. 1, for example, most piano case parts are flat plate materials 1, and a large-area flat part 1a.
It is required that the wood and end portion 1b be painted with exactly the same glossy finish.

Conventionally, the flat part 1a and the end part 1 of this flat plate material 1
Adhere the decorative boards 21 and 22 to the flat part 1a (if the flat material 1 is decorative plywood, the decorative board 21 and 22 are attached to the flat part 1a).
No adhesion is required. ), and the flat part 1a to which the decorative board 21 is adhered is painted with a flow coater,
As shown in FIG. 2, the end portion 1b to which the decorative board 22 is adhered is made by stacking a plurality of flat plates 1 and spray painting them.

As described above, conventionally, the painting of the wood end 1b was done manually by stacking a plurality of flat plates 1 and spray painting, which stopped the flow of the painting work line (consistent assembly work). Improvements were being considered as possible (impossible).

Therefore, many attempts were made, including methods of gluing an acrylic board to the end portion 1b and methods of adhering datup-covered wood end materials, but the difference in finish quality of the polishing finish between the end portion 1b and the flat surface portion 1a was large and gave a sense of discomfort. Furthermore, the boundary surface between the flat part 1a and the butt end part 1b is not continuous, that is, the flat part 1a and the butt end part 1b are not continuous.
A linear border appears between the edges, and therefore, spray painting of the end portion 1b has been an unavoidable task until now.

This invention was made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, and involves cutting a decorative board coated in advance with a flow coater to the required width and length, and gluing the decorative board to the end of the flat board. This is a method of painting a flat board material, in which the same paint applied to the decorative board is applied to the flat surface of the flat board using the flow coater, and the flat surface of the flat board and the end of the board are integrally formed. For example, both the flat surface and the wood end of a flat board can be painted with a flow coater, which greatly shortens the process. Furthermore, both the flat surface and the wood end of a flat board can be painted with the same flow coater, and the same paint can be used. Therefore, the boundary between the coating between the flat part and the end part will not be discontinuous, and there will be no discomfort at all.

FIG. 3 is a process diagram for explaining the coating method for flat plate materials according to the present invention.
1800mm phenolic resin impregnated decorative board is available.
This decorative board 30 is directly passed through a flow coater F as shown in B, and is coated with, for example, polyester black. Then, after drying as appropriate, in the cutting step C, it is cut to the required length and width as shown in D.
A painted end decorative board 31 is obtained. For example, if the thickness of the later-described flat plate material 1 is 18 mm, the width of the painted butt-finished board 31 is approximately 23 mm. Next, as shown in E here, a flat plate material 1 with a decorative board 4 (not shown here, see FIG. 5) adhered to the upper surface (flat plate part 1a)
is prepared, and in the end bonding process of F, the painted decorative board 31 is adhered to the end part 1b of this flat board 1, and the protruding part of the painted end decorative board 31 is cut, chamfered, etc., as shown in G. Thus, a flat plate material 11 having only the end portion 11b painted is obtained. This flat plate material 11 is transferred to the flow coater F again as shown in H.
Paint the top surface (flat part 11a) with the same paint that was applied to the decorative board, and after drying as appropriate (I)
In the finishing step, the flat part and the end part are polished, and finally polished to obtain a flat plate material 12 with the flat part 12a and the end part 12b painted as shown in FIG. In addition, the flat part 11a and the end part 1
Depending on the coating quality of Flow Coater F in 1b,
By simply polishing only this interface, the flat part 11a can be removed.
It is also possible to omit sharpening and even polishing of the butt end portion 11b.

FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 4, and since both the flat part 12a and the end part 12b were painted with the same flow coater and the same paint, the flat part coating film 5a and the end part coating film are different from each other. The border 6 with 5b is well blended and no linear border or the like occurs, and the flat surface and edge are finished in the same color and the same gloss.

As described above, according to the present invention, a decorative wood end coated in advance using a flow coater is adhered to the wood end portion of a flat board, and the flat part of this flat board is coated on the decorative board using a flow coater as well. Since the paint is now painted with the same paint as the one used for painting, the spray painting that was conventionally done for the wood end is no longer used, and both the flat and wood end are painted using a flow coater, eliminating waste paint and creating a consistent finish. This has extremely significant effects, such as increasing work efficiency and improving painting quality as it becomes an assembly line work.
