Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform an operation of a refrigerator with no regulation by using a stationary expansion valve as an expansion valve, providing a heater in an accumulator, applying an input signal to the heater by a temperature regulator, and further applying a control command of the regulator by a signal from a refrigerant temperature detector of a refrigerating cycle.
CONSTITUTION: The opening of an expansion valve 3 is secured to a maximum load, and the interior of an evaporator 4 is sufficiently cooled. If a load is reduced, a heater 9 of a refrigerant return line is turned ON. If the opening of the valve 3 is secured to that corresponding to the maximum load, the interior of the evaporator 4 is always held at a predetermined cooling temperature. If the load is decreased in this state, a large quantity of refrigerant liquid is returned to a compressor 1. In this case, the refrigerant liquid is temporarily accumulated in an accumulator 6 immediately before the refrigerant is returned to the compressor 1. The heater 9 is turned ON in this state to return the liquid refrigerant to the compressor 1 as gas refrigerant. Thus, it can prevent the damage accident of liquid compression due to the return of the liquid of the compressor 1. If the load is increased, it can be coped by a manual valve, and the regulation of a refrigerator is not required.
