Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent pulsation of suction pressure from being transmitted to the lower space of a slider so as to enhance the silence by forming a gas vent hole in a housing of a rest cylinder control mechanism, and by blocking the gas vent hole in association with the descent of a slider during a compressor being driven at a maximum speed.
CONSTITUTION: When a crankshaft 2 is rotated by a motor element 1, rolling pistons 5a, 5b are rotated in cylinders 7a, 7b, respectively, in predetermined directions by means of eccentric parts 4a, 4b. Further, a shut-off valve 23a is closed to stop the flowing of high pressure gas into the lower space of a slider 18 while opening a shut-off valve 23b to communicate a space in a housing 19 below the slider 18 with a suction chamber in order to lower the pressure in the suction chamber, resulting in that the slider 18 descends by being urged by a stream of compressed gas from an accumulator 17. In this phase, a gas vent hole 21 formed in the housing 19 is blocked by the slider 18 so as to eliminate a cause of transmission of pressure pulsation from the suction chamber to the lower space of the slider 18, thereby it is possible to prevent the slider 18 from moving up and down.
