Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to mass-produce a product of such high quality as is equivalent to that of a lacquer ware, by bonding a decorative paper with patterns onto a base material, impregnating and hardening unsaturated polyester resin layer thereonto, and providing a lacquer coating layer. CONSTITUTION:A decorative sheet of paper 2 having patterns is attached onto a base material 1, onto which is impregnated and hardened unsaturated polyester resin 4. A coating layer 5 of lacquer is provided on the layer of unsaturated polyester resin 4. The base material 1 is plywood or particle board. The decorative paper 2 is obtained by printing patterns onto a titanium paper having opaque pigment such as titanium oxide or the like mixed therein, through gravure printing, offset printing or silkscreen printing. The base material 1 and decorative paper 2 are bonded by an adhesive agent. Generally, liquid of unsaturated polyester resin is applied 250-350g/m<2> onto the decorative paper, impregnated and hardened, whereby the layer of unsaturated polyester resin is formed. The lacquer coating layer can be formed through application of lacquer, but it is more convenient to form the layer by utilizing a lacquer transfer material.

Polyester decorative material pasted onto plywood or other base materials is often used as a material for the walls and furniture of houses. Polyester decorative materials have strength comparable to melamine decorative materials and give a relatively high-class feel. Various proposals have been made to reproduce the same texture as natural wood or stone in this type of decorative material. For example, Tokuko Sho 62-5029
No. 8 describes a method of creating a three-dimensional effect by printing a pattern with white ink on paper that becomes transparent by impregnating and curing a resin liquid, and then printing colored ink over the pattern. However, products made using conventional techniques, including this manufacturing method, are artificial, and although they can be made to resemble natural products, they cannot have a texture that is substantially similar to that of natural products. The most luxurious furniture is often manufactured using natural lacquer, and it is inevitable that furniture made from synthetic materials will pale in comparison. The only way to apply lacquer is by hand, one by one, by a craftsman.
When handling natural lacquer, it is necessary to take measures to prevent lacquer rash.
Only experienced people can produce good products. As one measure to alleviate the problems associated with handling lacquer, JP-A-61-10497 proposes the use of transfer technology. In other words, a lacquer film is created on the base material and then transferred. Separately, the applicant has proposed a veneer sheet with a natural lacquer coating on the surface of the veneer material (Utility Application No. 102557/1982).
He proposed preparing and pasting it on for use. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The purpose of the present invention is to obtain the same effect without using natural materials such as veneer material, and by using polyester. Our goal is to provide quality lacquer decorative materials. [Means for Solving the Problems] As shown in the drawing, the polyester decorative material of the present invention has a decorative paper (2) having a pattern (3) attached to a base material (1), and an unsaturated polyester resin (4). A coating layer (5) of lacquer is provided on the impregnated and hardened material. The base material used in the present invention is intended to provide the necessary thickness and strength as a decorative material. For example, plywood or particle board may be selected as appropriate. The cosmetic paper is made from a mixture of opaque face washes such as titanium oxide.
It uses paper called "titanium paper" with a pattern printed using known techniques such as gravure printing, offset printing, or silk screen printing. The base material and decorative paper are attached with adhesive in the same way as in the past.
As the adhesive, a vinyl acetate emulsion type adhesive is suitable. The unsaturated polyester resin layer is formed by applying a resin liquid, usually 250 to 3509/Tli, onto decorative paper, impregnating it, and curing it. A polymerization initiator and, if necessary, a polymerization accelerator are added to the resin liquid before use. It is sufficient to add the polymerization initiator in an amount of 0.5 to 3% by weight based on the resin, and peroxides such as methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, benzoyl peroxide, and hydroperoxide, and azobisisobutyronitrile can be used as the polymerization initiator. The radical initiator is appropriately selected and used. Examples of the polymerization accelerator include cobalt compounds such as cobalt naphthenate, metal compounds such as vanadium compounds and manganese compounds, and amine compounds such as dimethylaniline, and the amount is 0.1 to 2.0% by weight based on the resin. It is preferable to add In order to crosslink the resin and adjust its viscosity, we use compounds with vinyl groups such as styrene monomers,
It may be added so as to account for 10 to 40% by weight of the resin liquid. The lacquer coating layer is formed using natural lacquer from Japan, China, Korea, or Southeast Asia. As long as it does not lose its sense of luxury,
Bulking agents may also be added. The lacquer coating layer can of course be formed by coating, but it is better to form it using the above-mentioned lacquer transfer material because it avoids problems associated with handling the lacquer and is convenient because it can be done simultaneously with the formation of the unsaturated polyester resin layer. be. [Function] The decorative material of the present invention has a structure in which a layer of natural lacquer is provided on the surface of a conventional polyester decorative material, and has a profound texture not found in conventional products. (Example) Titanium paper of 80 g/rr (four people) with a printed pattern
) was attached to particle board with adhesive. To 100 parts (hands and feet) of unsaturated polyester resin liquid [Nister D117BJ manufactured by Mitsui Toatsu Chemical Co., Ltd.], 0.5 part of hardened resin TS "Permec" (Nippon Oil & Fats Co., Ltd.) was added was added to the above-mentioned decorative paper. Then, on top of that, I layered a lacquer transfer material (30 micron clear lacquer, made by Kuzuyo Kogyo Co., Ltd.). After the resin had hardened, I peeled off the release film of the transfer material.
A lacquer decorative material having the configuration shown in the drawing was obtained. [Effect of the invention 1] Since the decorative material of the present invention has the luxurious color and luster unique to lacquer, if this decorative material is used for furniture etc.
You can obtain products that are comparable to lacquer-coated products. Moreover, since the basic part of the decorative material is the same as that of the polyester decorative material, it is not only easy to manufacture, but also does not require a skilled engineer to install. In this way, it is possible to produce products of the same high quality as lacquer-coated products and provide them to consumers at low prices.
