Abstract

PURPOSE: To arbitrarily rotate a hue to convert a color, and simultaneously attain a color correction processing by altering the recording concentration of a chromatic color used when a color correction processing parameter is set.
CONSTITUTION: Color spaces Dr, Dg and Db formed by the spectral concentrations of the colors to be recorded/reproduced are divided by Si three planes (oblique line parts) radially spreading from an achromatic color axis (Dr=Dg=Db) as a center, and the color correction processing parameter of a masking equation is fixed beforehand at every color space divided by the three planes. By suitably changing the recording density of the chromatic color, the hue is rotated, and the color is converted. Thus, the hue of a picture is arbitrarily rotated, the color is converted, and simultaneously, the color correction processing is attained.
