Abstract

PURPOSE: To start a timer reliably when a secondary cell is mounted, by detecting charge current flowing through the secondary cell and starting the timer.
CONSTITUTION: Charge current fed from a power source to a secondary cell 2 is detected through a detecting circuit 1, then a transistor Q2 is turned ON by an output fed from a comparing circuit OP to apply voltage onto a timer IC4 thus starting the timer. By such arrangement, the charge timer can be started reliably and the charge time is controlled through the timer.
