Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep an appropriate flowability and reduce thixotropy by constituting the subject binder with an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid-(meth)acrylic ester copolymer and a polyolefin and setting the amount of the carboxylic acid originating from the unsaturated carboxylic acid over a specific value.
CONSTITUTION: In the composition comprising (A) a copolymer from an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid such as (meth)acrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid or the like, preferably (meth)acrylic acid, and a (meth)acrylic acid ester with an alkyl of 6 or more carbon atoms, when needed, other radically polymerizable monomers and (B) polyolefin of higher than 40°C softening point and/or wax of higher than 40°C melting point (preferably polypropylene and paraffin wax), the content of the carboxyl groups originating from the component A, α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, is adjusted to 4 milliequivalents per 100g of the composition. The resultant composition is used as a binder for ceramic injection molding.
