Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the decrease in effective generation area and to reduce manufacturing steps, by providing a protecting diode to the lower part of a ribbon shaped metal electrode, and connecting the diode.
CONSTITUTION: A bypass diode 1 is provided at the lower part of a ribbon shaped metal electrode 2 of a photovoltaic generating element. Thus, an area 5 of a part where the diode is provided is decreased. An electrode for connecting the diode 1 and a lattice electrode 3 and a large-current-capacity lattice electrode are not required. The decrease in effective generating area is suppressed, and manufacturing steps can be reduced.
