A so-called gas meter for measuring the amount of gas used is installed outdoors for each consumer, and the amount of gas used is determined by reading a numerical display built into the gas meter. However, due to the recent rise in land prices and the overcrowding of housing, gas meters are increasingly being installed in places where it is difficult to read gas meters. In addition, gas meters are housed in common pipe spaces in buildings, etc., but reading these gas meters is difficult in tenant buildings or buildings in industries that open late at night due to restrictions on business hours. It has become to. As a result, there is a problem in that meter reading costs are rising. As a way to solve these problems, an automatic meter reading system was developed that combines a telephone line with a gas meter and automatically reads the measured value of the gas meter at a business office via the telephone line. 1~ is being carried out.

However, with the above-mentioned automatic meter reading system, it is necessary to carry out telephone installation work to connect telephone lines to all the gas meters, and in addition, cables must be used to connect the indoor telephone equipment and the outdoor gas meters. It will have to be done. To do this, it is necessary to carry out wiring work that penetrates the outer wall of the building, but this wiring work is not welcomed by gas customers because of concerns about deterioration of the building's appearance and water leakage. . In addition to this construction cost, the cost of the modem communication control unit that connects the gas meter to the telephone line, sends commands to the gas meter in response to communication commands from the office, and transmits data from the gas meter through the telephone line is also expensive. For this reason, it is difficult for the automatic meter reading system described above to become widespread. Another problem is that as people move into apartments and other areas, it becomes difficult to identify the meters to be read. For this reason, gas meter reading operations are becoming difficult, especially in urban areas, and there is a need for streamlining the process. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a remote meter reading device that can read a gas meter from a distance at low cost and in a short time by using wireless communication means.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram of the main parts of the microcomputer gas meter 01. In the figure, 21 is a gas inlet, 22 is a gas outlet, and 26 is a metering rotation mechanism provided in the gas flow path from the gas inlet 21 to the gas outlet 22.
This mechanism 26 rotates in proportion to the gas flow rate passing through this flow path, and rotates a sensor disk 27 that is interlocked with itself. A magnet 28 is provided on this disc, and the disc 27
is converted into a one-pulse ON10 FF signal by the flow rate sensor S1, which is a reed switch that closes each time the magnet 28 approaches. The 1-chip microcomputer 1 inputs this ON10FF signal and reads the gas flow rate. In general, this microcomputer 1 includes a pressure sensor S2 that detects an abnormality in the pressure of a gas pipe, a seismic sensor S3 that detects a large earthquake, and a gas leak sensor S4 that detects a gas leak. The operation of the incomplete combustion sensor S5, etc. that is activated can also be read at the same time. When the microcomputer 1 detects an abnormality in the sensors S2 to S5, or when the program of the microcomputer 1 detects an abnormal increase in the gas flow rate or a leakage abnormality in the gas pipe, etc. from the time-series movement of the flow rate sensor S1, the microcomputer 1 The operation coil 24 for 25 is excited, the shield well 25 is closed, the gas supply is stopped, and a safe state is established. A return button 29 is attached to this shield well 25, and by pushing this button 29, gas supply can be resumed. At this time, the microcomputer 1 detects this return operation via the back electromotive force generated in the operating coil 24 and restarts the abnormality monitoring operation again. Microcomputer gas meters with the above functions have already begun to be used by gas companies as household meters.
The microcomputer gas meter 01 of the present invention is further equipped with a wireless communication function as shown in FIG. As mentioned above, the memory of microcomputer 1 in Figure 4 (not shown)
Gas measurement values are stored inside. Also, ID No. for each microcomputer gas meter 01. is set. To set this ID No., it is necessary to provide a digital switch for each meter, to set the ID No. into the memory owned by the microcomputer 1 using communication means, or to store the ID No. in each microcomputer memory. A method such as manufacturing can be used. As shown in FIG. 1, the 1-deep microcomputer 1 according to the present invention generally has a serial communication port, and a transmitting circuit 8. A receiving circuit 9 is provided. Our transmission and reception circuits 8.9 are as follows:
Transmission and reception circuits 10.11 provided in the remote calibrator 02
and are combined using radio communication technology. The microcomputer system 12 in the remote calibrator 02 has the role of controlling the entire calibrator 02, and its transmission terminal Tx
, and the transmitting circuit 10., respectively, via the receiving terminal Rx.
In addition to being connected to the receiving circuit 11, a memory (ROM
, RAM) or a character generator for displaying characters, and other ICs and LSIs necessary for the calibrator. The microcomputer system 12 also includes a key matrix 15° display 13 for reading the movement and operation of the gear necessary for the calibrator. A printer 14 and the like are connected. FIG. 2 shows an example of the front appearance of this remote calibrator o2. That is, this remote calibrator has a numeric keypad TK for specifying and inputting an ID No. When the ID No is specified via the numeric keypad TK, it automatically transmits the specified I'DNo and a command to read the measured value to the microcomputer gas meter 01. This I
The DNo. can actually be the same as the ID code, or it can be a so-called management code that matches the actual situation of meter reading operations. If the ID code and the management code are separate, the ID code can be easily found from the management code by having a comparison table between the management code and the D code in the memory of the microcomputer system 12. . Further, when a management code is specified and input, the name of the consumer can be displayed on the display 13 as well as the management code, and at the same time, the measured value returned from the microcomputer gas meter 01 is also displayed on the display 13. Along with these display data, data such as the metering port, meter reader, scheduled date of the next meter reading, and charges can be automatically printed out from the printer 14, so if this printed data can be handed over to the gas consumer, This eliminates the need for meter readers to manually enter meter readings, streamlining meter reading operations and preventing errors. Furthermore, since it is possible to print out the information and to automatically calculate the charges, it is possible to settle the charges at the same time. That is, meter reading work and fee collection work can be performed at the same time, and since the payment status can also be input using the payment key RK, the payment status, that is, the payment status, ie, paid status, unpaid status, etc., can be automatically recorded in the memory of the microcomputer system 12. Therefore, it is only necessary to separately collect money from those who have not yet paid. Of course, since many consumers these days use bank automatic payments or bank payments, it is only natural that they only need to hand over this meter reading data as a notification to such customers. FIG. 3 shows an example of a communication procedure between the remote calibrator 02 and the microcomputer gas meter 01. The calibrator 02 sends out a read command 32 to read the calibration data along with the ID No. 31 of the microcomputer gas meter. Microcomputer gas meter 01
is your own ID number, and the ID number sent via communication is 3.
1, and if they match, it returns its own ID No. 33, a measurement value 34, and BCC data 35 for data checking to detect when this transmitted data changes during communication. . Regarding the transmitted data from this microcomputer gas meter, the transmitted ID No. 31 and the received ID are
It checks whether the ID No. 33 matches or not, and calculates whether the weight value 34 and the BCC data 35 have a predetermined relationship. If they match, it is determined that the received data is correct and the The measured value 34 is stored together with 33 and displayed. The reason for configuring the communication procedure in this way is that the remote calibrator 02
communicates using wireless communication means, so normal VHF
Even when using electromagnetic waves such as waves, or when using ultrasonic waves or infrared light, there is a possibility that a plurality of microcomputer gas meters 01 will receive transmission data from the remote calibrator 02. For this reason, it is also necessary for the microcomputer gas meter 01 to determine whether this transmission data has been sent to the target microcomputer gas meter 01 or not. Particularly in AB-1-, etc., there are many cases in which the gas meters for each chamber are installed close to each other, so such a discrimination means is of great practical importance. In addition, the data measured and stored with the calibrator 02 can be read from its memory after the calibrator is brought back to the office, and the necessary office processing data can be transferred to the computer at the office. This makes it possible to streamline meter reading operations. By incorporating the ID No. into the microcomputer gas meter 01, the meter reader can automatically identify each target gas meter one by one, which has the effect of reducing the time required to check the gas meters.

According to this invention, a microcomputer gas meter is provided with means for setting and holding a transmitter and receiver for wireless communication and an ID number, and on the other hand,
The remote calibrator is equipped with a transmitter and receiver for wireless communication, an ID number, a specifying means, a display for measuring values, ID No., name, etc., a printer, etc., and the measured value of the microcomputer gas meter can be read in a non-contact manner by the remote calibrator. This has the following effects. (1) Since the gas flow value can be read without getting close to the microcomputer gas meter, meter reading operations can be streamlined, especially in areas where gas meters are crowded. Further, restrictions on the mounting position of the microcomputer gas meter can be reduced. (2) The weighing value can be automatically printed out, and the value can be stored in the memory.1. Therefore, it is possible to prevent errors in administrative processing associated with handwritten processing of weighing values. (3) Since the printout data can be printed out in the form of a billing slip, it is possible to collect money at the same time as meter reading, and the results of this collection can also be recorded in the memory of the meter.
