For example, if a failure occurs in the packet switching center 3,
Packet switching station 3 has a problem with itself, so central monitoring station 1
However, since the packet switching stations 2, 4, 5 and 6 cannot receive the diagnostic packet from the packet switching station 3, the diagnostic packet monitoring unit 12 sends a notification packet to notify the packet switching station 3, respectively. is transmitted to central monitoring station 1. In the centralized monitoring station 1, when these notification packets are received by the notification packet receiving unit 13, the determining unit 15 checks the part of the network status table 14 indicating the connection between the packet switching station 2 and the relay path B, and the packet switching station 4. and relay route C
A flag is set in a portion indicating a connection between the bucket switching center 5 and the relay path E, a portion indicating a connection between the packet switching center 6 and the relay path E, and a portion indicating a connection between the packet switching center 6 and the relay path E. Figure 14 shows the network status table 14 flagged in this way.
In this explanatory diagram, those flags are indicated by black circles. The determining unit 15 checks the network status table 14 and determines whether the relay route B has a flag set at one end,
When E is detected, the packet switching station 3 connected to the end of the relay path B to E where the flag is not set is determined to be abnormal, and the conventional packet switching network monitoring method determines this as abnormal. Since it is configured, the packet switching center 1~
The station status that can be recognized in 6 is limited only to adjacent packet switching stations where diagnostic packets are being exchanged.
Either it is not possible to directly perform control based on the state of the packet switching network, or notification of diagnostic packets from the neighboring packet switching center is performed via a relay route between the neighboring packet switching center and the neighboring packet switching center. Therefore, if there is a failure in the relay path, problems such as the inability to even recognize the status of the adjacent packet switching center occur.

This invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and it is possible to recognize the state of the packet switching network at each packet switching station, and furthermore, it prevents diagnostic packets from concentrating on the relay route around the central monitoring station. The purpose of the packet switching network monitoring method according to the present invention is to obtain a packet switching network monitoring method that enables centralized monitoring of a packet switching network without any need for monitoring. each packet switching center recognizes that the packet switching center is abnormal because it could not normally receive the diagnostic packet from the packet switching center, and also sends diagnostic packets to the packet switching center at a predetermined period. If the diagnostic packet from the exchange cannot be received without detouring, the central monitoring station is notified by a notification packet, and the central monitoring station registers the reception status of the notification packet in the network status table. This allows the status of each relay path within the packet switching network to be recognized.

The packet switching network monitoring method according to the present invention detects an abnormality in each packet switching center in a normal packet switching network by not receiving or not receiving diagnostic packets sent from the packet switching center at a predetermined period. The packet switching center, which has become a central monitoring station, recognizes the abnormalities in the contents of the diagnostic packets and monitors the abnormalities at each packet switching center in the packet switching network in the same way as the normal packet switching center. In addition to recognizing an abnormality in each relay path in the packet switching network, the reception status of notification packets issued when detecting failure to receive diagnostic packets from adjacent packet switching stations or detouring of received diagnostic packets. The packet switching network is recognized based on the registered network status table, and the packet switching network is centrally monitored.

As described above, according to the present invention, a normal packet switching center recognizes an abnormality in each packet switching center by not being able to normally receive the diagnostic packet sent from it, and a central monitoring station In addition to recognizing abnormalities in the same way as normal packet switching centers, the system is configured to recognize abnormalities in each relay path based on a station status table that registers the reception status of notification packets from each packet switching center. The packet switching center can recognize the status of all packet switching centers, and each packet switching center can directly perform control based on this information. Also, even if there is a fault in the relay path, if the diagnostic packet is received in a detour, the situation will be fixed. It is also possible to recognize the status of the packet switching station, and furthermore, the central monitoring station has the effect of centrally monitoring the packet switching network, including the status of the relay routes, without concentrating diagnostic packets on the surrounding relay routes.
