Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the entire circuit being affected by defective part by controlling the direction of transmission signal voltage by means of switch circuits provided between unit circuits, and transmitting the signal voltage to the unit circuits if a poor operation part or defective part is detected, thereby going around the part.
CONSTITUTION: If defect arises, a circuit C32 cannot obtain a normal output from a circuit S32; therefore, the detecting circuit 9 decides the circuit C32 is defective. When this detecting operation is completed, the information, decided by the detecting circuit 9, is input to an inspection circuit 11, and this circuit 11 decides where the defect arose in the circuit. In the actual operation of the circuit, a switch control circuit 10 controls the switch circuits 3 and 5 on the basis of the information on the defect so that the circuits is operated to go around the part where the defect aroused. Thus, in a large-scale circuit having a large number of circuits, defective part is salvaged and the entire circuit is normally operated by means of a small number of additional circuits.
