Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat organic waste water efficiently, by combining an aerobic fluid filter bed bath using a biological membrane-forming small cylindrical carrier and a solid-liquid separator.
CONSTITUTION: An aerobic fluid filter bed bath 2 is filled with small cylindrical carriers to which multiple microbe adheres or contact filtering materials 3 and a gas dispersing apparatus 4 for aeration is set in the bottom side. Also, a solid-liquid separator 5 is filled with a plurality of filter materials 7. Then, SS-contg. organic waste water is led to the upper part of the aerobic fluid filter bed bath 2 through a flowing pipe 1 and treated. After that, the flowed out treated water is introduced into the solid-liquid separator 6 from the down part or the upper part so as to separate into a solid and a liquid. Thus, living bodies adhering to and formed on the microbe-bearing carriers and the contact filtering materials are not peeled when moving and high MLSS is retained. Therefore, organic waste water is processed at high efficiency.
