A mounting hole 6c is formed in the mounting hole 6c, and a transmitting plate 13 made of transparent resin or semi-transparent resin as a light transmitting portion is provided in the mounting hole 6c. Also, the lower surface portion 6d of the mirror case 6
A mounting hole 6e is formed in the mounting hole 6e, and a light diffusing glass plate 14 serving as a light transmitting portion whose inner surface of the mirror case 6 is serrated is provided in the mounting hole 6e. A reflecting mirror 16 to which a pair of light bulbs 15 as light emitters are attached is fixed in the mirror case 6. According to this example, the sides of the vehicle can be illuminated as shown in Figure 4, so when the turn signal lever (as shown in the diagram) is operated when making a right or left turn, the side lights are illuminated and the curb is illuminated. It is possible to recognize obstacles such as obstacles, and prevent driving mistakes such as running over. Further, in this case, fogging due to water droplets adhering to the mirror body 12 due to the heat generated by the light bulb 15 can be prevented.
