Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive a higher reliability of contact and a lower pressing pressure, by using as a substrate an elastic metallic sheet provided with an electrically insulating layer on a surface thereof, and providing a protruding part on each recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrically insulating layer 5 is provided on an elastic metallic sheet 1 to constitute a substrate. A plurality of recording electrodes 2 are provided in parallel with each other on the substrate, and each of the electrodes 2 is covered by an insulating film 3, leaving exposed an area in the vicinity of the tip thereof. At the exposed part of each of the recording electrodes, a protruding part 4 formed of a conductive material is provided. At a tip part of this printing head, notched grooves 8 are provided between the electrodes 2. The thickness of the metallic sheet 1 is preferably 30-800mum.
