Abstract

PURPOSE: To satisfactorily discharge paper irrespective the thickness of normal paper, by providing such an arrangement that the angle of a correcting surface of a stiffening jump plate arranged on an upper plate of a suction device in a paper discharge device can be changed with respect to the upper plate in accordance with the thickness of normal paper.
CONSTITUTION: When thin paper which requires an additional stiffness is fed, the angle between a correcting surface 10A10 of a jump plate 10A1 and the upper plate 10b is made to be larger so so to give such a configuration that the widthwise center part of normal paper S may be easily absorbed onto a conveyer belt C so that a sufficient conveying force by the conveyer belt C may be exerted to the normal paper S. Further, when thick normal paper S which requires substantially no additional stiffness is conveyed, the angle between the correcting surface 10A10 of the jump plate 10A1 and the upper plate 10b is made to be smaller so as to give such a configuration that the widthwise center of the normal paper S may approach or is easy to approach the conveyer belt C, and accordingly, a sufficient conveying force of the conveyer belt C is given to the normal paper S. Further the setting of the inclination of the jump plate is made under the instruction by the operator.
