Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the dehumidification and drying of the air by allowing both the suction side of a ventilation passage to face the cooling surface and the discharge side to face the radiating surface and laying out Peltier components. CONSTITUTION:When a dehumidifier is driven, a blower 8 is driven. Air is forcibly fed into a ventilation passage 3 from a suction port 4. The air passing through fins 10 and 11 is discharged from a discharge port 5. When a Peltier component 2 receives electric power, a cooling surface is cooled off, while a radiating surface is heated. When the temperature on the cooling surface side further drops to a specified temperature due the radiation of this radiating surface, the air passing through the heat absorption fin 10 for dehumidification is cooled. As a result, the heat absorption for dehumidification fin 10 is subjected to the generation of bedewing, thereby producing waterdrops, which drop into a water storage tanks 13. In this manner, the vapor contained in the air is dehumidified. This dehumidified air is heated as it passes through a heating radiation fin 11 and is discharged from an exhaust port 5, thereby drying the air.
