Abstract

PURPOSE:To adequately control exhaust gas to a power turbine by controlling an exhaust bypassing solenoid valve being based on a detecting signal from an exhaust gas pressure detecting sensor provided in a position in the downstream from an exhaust gas branch port of an exhaust gas recirculation control device further in the upstream from the exhaust bypassing solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:Since exhaust gas, existing in a position in the downstream from an exhaust gas branch port 7-1 of an exhaust gas recirculation control device and in the upstream from an exhaust bypassing solenoid valve 19, branches no more to the other part, the exhaust gas is supplied to a power turbine 8 being left as placed in an energy condition in this position. Detecting the energy condition of the exhaust gas in this position by a pressure sensor 14, the exhaust bypassing solenoid valve 19 is controlled by a detecting signal of this sensor 14. By the control thus obtained, the exhaust gas to the power turbine can be accurately controlled matching with the energy condition of the inflow exhaust gas.
