Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily prevent the destruction of a feeder section by providing a preventing means to prevent the section-overing of the feeder section through one d.c. circuit breaker per feeder section and its switchyard at a short-circuit accident on one side of the feeder.
CONSTITUTION: Feeders 4, 5 to feed electric current to an electric car 2 are provided with sections 6, 6A at their both ends and midway between them, and the feeders 4, 5 on the side of a section 6 are provided with substations 100, 101 respectively. The secondary side of a transformer 16 in each of substations 100, 101 is connected to a rectifier 17, which is connected through d.c. circuit breakers 7, 7a to the feeders 4, 5, and a section switchyard 102 is connected to the feeders 4, 5 between the substations 100, 101. Voltage relays 11a, 11b to detect voltage on both sides of the section 6 are provided to prevent the section overing of a feeder section at the time of the short-circuit of the feeder 5 on the one side of a d.c. circuit breaker 7c in the section switchyard 102, and when a short-circuit accident has been detected, feeding action on the side of the feeder 4 is control to be stopped.
