(C) Problems to be Solved by the Invention In this prior art, some of the received high-value banknotes are held in a stacked state by a banknote stacking device, and the banknotes distributed are held in a stacked state on the device, and are separated from the conveyance device that receives the banknotes. The conveyor device transports the banknotes to a banknote receiving slot separate from the banknote receiving slot or a banknote safe, and when the banknotes are returned, the banknotes held in the banknote storage device are stacked by a banknote stacking device and the banknotes are sorted out. Since the banknotes are transferred to the device and then returned to the bill receiving slot by a transport device exclusively for returns, the device becomes complicated and large, which is inconvenient when used in vending machines, etc. there were. In addition, since the returned banknotes and the banknotes stored in the safe are stacked each time by a stacking device and transported by another conveyance device, it takes a long time to operate the banknotes. There was an issue that made me feel.

(*) Operation The banknotes inserted into the insertion side are taken in and conveyed by a conveying device constituted by an integrally driven belt from the recognition section to the front of the holding device, and during the conveyance, the validity and type are identified by the recognition section. When the identification unit identifies the banknote as a predetermined low-denomination banknote, the low-denomination banknote is conveyed to a holding device disposed at the end of the conveyance device and stored so as to be returnable. In addition, when the holding device has already stored a predetermined number of low-denomination bills, the low-denomination bills are pushed into the banknote storage box body provided opposite to the conveying device extending between the identification unit and the holding device by a pushing member. It is stored by being pushed through the section. On the other hand, high-value banknotes that are identified as predetermined high-value banknotes by the identification unit are stopped and held by the conveyance device, and are stored in the banknote storage box through the hole by the pushing member based on the product selling operation. In addition, if high-value banknotes are returned and supported while the conveyance device is unable to stop and hold them,
It is transported back to the insertion side by the transport device. To return low-denomination banknotes, the low-denomination banknotes stored in the holding device are taken out and returned to the insertion side by the conveyance device.

The detection head (5) constitutes an identification section together with a discriminating section (not shown) that determines the suitability and type of banknotes based on the detection force. When the identification unit determines that the banknotes that can be completely conveyed by the first conveyance device are not appropriate, the motor reverses the direction, conveys the banknotes in the opposite direction to arrow direction a, and returns the banknotes from the insertion side (10). It is configured as follows. On the other hand, when the banknote conveyed by the first conveyance device is determined by the identification unit to be a high-value banknote, the tip of the banknote on the arrow direction 3 side is held between the pulley (IB) and the guide pulley (2C). The drive of the motor is stopped and the banknotes are held within the first conveyance device. Therefore, the distance from the detection head (5) to the pulley (IB) is set to be larger than the longitudinal dimension of the banknote. Also, the pulley (

The operation of the above configuration will be explained. When a bill is inserted into the insertion side (10), the pulleys (IA) (IB) and pulleys (2A) (2B) rotate based on the detection signal from the detector (19), and the bill is transferred to the belt (3) ( 4) and transported in the direction of the arrow a. Then, when the bill passes through the detection head (5) and its suitability and type are determined and it is determined that it is a low denomination bill (for example, a 1,000 yen bill), the bill passes through the belt (3) (4).
), and then the belt (4) and the part (7A) of the banknote storage box body (7) facing the banknotes continue to transport the banknotes. The pulley (2B) and the rubber roller ( 11) and is detected by the detector (21), the motor provided in the holding device (6) rotates and the shaft (6A) moves along the strip (13) with the arrow. The banknotes are wound around the shaft (13) and stored. The maximum number of banknotes stored in the storage device (6) is 10, and 10 low denomination banknotes are wound around the shaft (6A). As a result, the strip (13) wound around the shaft (6B) can also be completely wound around the shaft (6A), so the microswitch (22)
) is 0FFt, it can be detected that the holding device (6) has held up to 10 low denomination bills. Then, with the microswitch (22) turned OFF, low-denomination bills are detected by the detector (22).
0), the pulleys (IA) (IB> and pulleys (2A) (2B>) stop rotating, and the pushing member (9) is reciprocated toward the banknote storage box (7). Low denomination banknotes interposed between the belt (4) and the banknote storage box (7) can be stored in the box (7).The holding device (6) rotates in the direction of arrow C of the shaft (6B). The low denomination banknotes held by the rubber roller (11) and pulley (2B)
belts (3) (4) together with the shaft (6B).
) moves in the direction of the arrow a'.
B) and pulleys (2A) (2B>),
It becomes possible to pay out the reserved banknotes from the insertion side (10). Therefore, in this example, since the maximum number of bills held by the holding device is 10, up to 10 low-denomination bills can be inserted in -times of operation, and the inserted amount can be returned to the bill inserter.

On the other hand, if the bill being held and conveyed by the belt <3) (4) is a high-value bill (for example, an egg yen bill or a 10,000 yen bill), when the bill reaches the detector (20), the pulley (IA)
>(IB>) and pulleys (2A) and (2B) are stopped and held. Therefore, pulley (LA>(IB) and pulley ( By rotating 2A) and 2B, high-value banknotes can be returned to the person who inserted the banknote. However, when a predetermined consideration signal, such as a product sales signal, is generated by inserting a banknote while holding a high-value banknote, the pulley ( LA>(IB) and pulleys (2A) and (2B) rotate to transport the banknote in the direction of arrow a again, and when the high-value banknote finishes passing through the detector (20), pulleys (LA) and (IB) and pulleys ( The rotation of 2A) and (2B) is stopped, and the pushing member (9) moves back and forth to store high-value banknotes in the banknote storage box (7).Also, high-value banknotes are inserted and a low value is added to the change after the sale. In a banknote processing device incorporated in a vending machine that dispenses banknotes, the held high-value banknotes are accepted into the banknote storage box (7) in addition to the above-mentioned consideration signal, as well as low-denomination banknotes held in the holding device (6). It is also determined by the number of bills. At this time, the control device (not shown) of the vending machine counts the number of bills on hold each time a low-denomination bill is inserted into the holding device (6), and when the above-mentioned consideration signal occurs, When the remaining amount obtained by subtracting the product amount from the currency amount can be paid out according to the number of pending bills, the operation of accepting the bill into the bill storage box (7) is performed.
