Description

The present invention relates to handrail walls for stairs.

Patent Document 1 discloses technology related to buildings whose walls (exterior and interior walls) are constructed from wall panels.

In recent years, there has been a demand for a carbon-neutral society, which aims to achieve virtually zero carbon dioxide emissions, and for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).In the construction industry, efforts are being made to use wooden structures, which have a low carbon dioxide emission. As a result, it is desirable for staircase handrails to be entirely made of wood.
If the handrail wall is constructed only from wall panels, it is possible to make the entire wall wooden. Since the entire top surface of a staircase handrail wall or a portion of it (almost the entire top surface except for a small portion) is an inclined surface, for example, by combining a rectangular wall panel (a rectangular wall panel) with a wall panel with an inclined surface (a right-angled triangular or right-angled trapezoid wall panel), an entirely wooden handrail wall can be constructed without using metal such as steel frames in the frame.

The inclination angle of the top surface (inclined surface) of the balustrade wall is set to the same as the slope angle of the stairs, but the slope angle of the stairs varies depending on the size, layout, floor height, etc. of the building. Therefore, when constructing a balustrade wall from wall panels, it is necessary to prepare wall panels (wall panels with inclined surfaces) for the balustrade wall with an adjusted slope angle to match the slope angle of each individual staircase, which requires time and cost. However, if standardized wall panels (wall panels with inclined surfaces) are used to avoid this increased time and cost, it may be necessary to change the design of the staircase (such as the slope of the stairs) to match the slope angle of the wall panel's slope, which could reduce the flexibility of staircase design.

The present invention was made in light of the above circumstances, and its objective is to provide a handrail wall that can contribute to the realization of a carbon-free society through the promotion of carbon neutrality and the achievement of the SDGs, while reducing the impact on staircase design freedom and reducing the effort and cost involved.

The invention described in claim 1 is, for example, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 10,
A handrail wall 10 of a staircase 1,
Wall panel 2;
a wooden framework structure 11 provided on the wall panel 2;
The upper surface is an inclined surface,
The framework structure 11 is
A diagonal member 12 that forms the inclined surface;
A vertical member 14 provided between the wall panel 2 and the diagonal member 12;
and a horizontal member 15 provided between the wall panel 2 and the vertical member 14 ,
The framework structure 11 is
A plurality of the diagonal members 12 arranged in series in the ascending and descending direction of the staircase 1;
and an adjustment member 18a attached to the vertical member 14,
The diagonal members 12, 12 are characterized in that one end of each is fixed to the vertical member 14, and the other end is fixed to the adjustment member 18a attached to the vertical member 14 .

According to the invention described in claim 1, the upper part of the balustrade wall 10, including the inclined surface (top surface), can be constructed with a framework structure 11 formed by framework assembly on the wall panel 2. This means that the balustrade wall 10 can be constructed without using wall panels with inclined surfaces that match the gradient of the staircase 1, thereby reducing the effort and cost. Furthermore, the inclination angle of the inclined surface (top surface) can be set as desired, allowing the balustrade wall 10 to be constructed to match the gradient of each individual staircase, thereby minimizing the impact on the design freedom of the staircase 1.
Furthermore, since the balustrade wall 10 is composed of a wall panel 2 (wooden panel) and a wooden frame structure 11, it can contribute to realizing a carbon-free society by promoting carbon neutrality and achieving the goals of the SDGs.
In addition, an adjustment member 18a for supporting the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) is attached to the vertical member 14 supporting the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the one diagonal member 12), so costs can be reduced compared to adding a vertical member 14 to support the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the one diagonal member 12).

The invention described in claim 2 is, for example, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 10,
A handrail wall 10 of a staircase 1,
Wall panel 2;
a wooden framework structure 11 provided on the wall panel 2;
The upper surface is an inclined surface,
The framework structure 11 is
A diagonal member 12 that forms the inclined surface;
A vertical member 14 provided between the wall panel 2 and the diagonal member 12;
and a horizontal member 15 provided between the wall panel 2 and the vertical member 14,
The staircase includes a plurality of wall panels 2 arranged in series in the ascending and descending direction of the staircase 1,
The plurality of wall panels 2 are characterized in that they are different in height dimension from one another, their lower end faces are flush with one another, and they are lined up in order of height.

According to the invention of claim 2, the upper part of the balustrade wall 10, including the inclined surface (top surface), can be constructed with a framework structure 11 formed by framework assembly on the wall panel 2.
Furthermore, the multiple wall panels 2 that make up the balustrade wall 10 are arranged in staggered positions. This means that the vertical members 14 can be fixed not only to the upper end faces of the wall panels 2 but also to the step between the wall panels 2 (the end face of the higher wall panel 2 (the end face that contacts the lower wall panel 2)), which increases the fixing strength of the framework structure 11 to the wall panels 2 and improves the structural stability and durability of the balustrade wall 10.

The invention described in claim 3 is, for example, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 10,
A handrail wall 10 of a staircase 1,
Wall panel 2;
a wooden framework structure 11 provided on the wall panel 2;
The upper surface is an inclined surface,
The framework structure 11 is
A diagonal member 12 that forms the inclined surface;
A vertical member 14 provided between the wall panel 2 and the diagonal member 12;
and a horizontal member 15 provided between the wall panel 2 and the vertical member 14,
The handrail wall 10 is covered with a covering material (fire-resistant covering material 5),
Both surfaces of the framework structure 11 are covered with a plurality of the covering materials 5,
The joints between the covering materials 5, 5 are located on the sides of the vertical members 14.

According to the invention of claim 3, the upper part of the balustrade wall 10, including the inclined surface (top surface), can be constructed with a framework structure 11 formed by framework assembly on the wall panel 2. Therefore, the balustrade wall 10 can be constructed without using a wall panel with an inclined surface that matches the gradient of the staircase 1, thereby reducing the effort and cost.
In addition, since it is possible to fix the end of the covering material 5 (the end that comes into contact with an adjacent covering material 5) to the vertical member 14, the fixing strength of the covering material 5 to the handrail wall 10 can be increased, improving the structural stability and durability of the handrail wall 10.

The invention described in claim 4 is, for example, as shown in Figures 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10, in the handrail wall 10 described in any one of claims 1 to 3,
The framework structure 11 includes a plurality of vertical members 14 arranged at intervals in the ascending and descending direction of the staircase 1,
The horizontal member 15 is characterized in that it is arranged between the vertical member 14 (the lowest vertical member 14) that is located furthest down in the lifting direction among the plurality of vertical members 14 and the wall panel 2.

According to the invention of claim 4, the horizontal member 15 is provided between the vertical member 14 (the lowest vertical member 14) that receives the most vertical load among the multiple vertical members 14, and the wall panel 2, so that the load is transmitted from the lowest vertical member 14 to the wall panel 2 via the horizontal member 15. Therefore, the load transmitted from the lowest vertical member 14 can be dispersed by the horizontal member 15, and the strength of the balustrade wall 10 (strength to withstand vertical loads) can be increased.

The invention described in claim 5 is, for example, as shown in Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9, in the handrail wall 10 described in any one of claims 1 to 3,
The upper surface has a horizontal surface in addition to the inclined surface,
The framework structure 11 is
a horizontal member 13 that forms the horizontal surface;
It is characterized by comprising a reinforcing member 17 that connects the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13.

According to the invention described in claim 5, a reinforcing member 17 is provided at the joint between the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13 to connect the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13, thereby reducing costs compared to adding a vertical member 14 to support the joint between the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13.

The invention described in claim 6 is, for example, as shown in FIG. 5(b), in the handrail wall 10 described in any one of claims 1 to 3,
The framework structure 11 is
A plurality of the diagonal members 12 arranged in series in the ascending and descending direction of the staircase 1;
It is characterized by having a joint member 18b that connects the diagonal members 12, 12 to each other.

According to the invention described in claim 6, a joint member 18b is provided at the joint between the diagonal members 12, 12 to connect one diagonal member 12 to the other diagonal member 12, so that costs can be reduced compared to adding a vertical member 14 to support the joint between the diagonal members 12, 12.

The invention described in claim 7 is, for example, as shown in Figures 1 and 4, in the handrail wall 10 described in claim 3 ,
The covering material 5 that covers both sides of the framework structure 11 is characterized in that it is provided across from the framework structure 11 to the wall panel 2.

According to the invention described in claim 7, the parapet wall 10 is installed sandwiched between the covering material 5 on both sides, and the joint between the wall panel 2 and the framework structure 11 is covered with the covering material 5. Therefore, the horizontal load acting on the framework structure 11 is not only transmitted directly to the wall panel 2, but also to the wall panel 2 via the covering material 5. Therefore, the horizontal load acting on the framework structure 11 can be efficiently transmitted to the wall panel 2 that supports the framework structure 11, thereby increasing the strength of the parapet wall 10 (strength to withstand horizontal loads).

The present invention provides a handrail wall for stairs that can contribute to the realization of a carbon-free society by promoting carbon neutrality and the achievement of the SDGs, while also reducing the effort and cost required while minimizing the impact on staircase design freedom.

The staircase 1 is a unit staircase comprising a plurality of staircase units. The staircase 1 in this embodiment comprises a plurality of straight staircase units, and is configured by combining these plurality of straight staircase units.
The stair units that make up the staircase 1 are manufactured in advance in a factory, either in whole or in part (almost entirely except for some parts).

In this embodiment, the staircase 1 is a straight staircase composed of multiple straight staircase units, but is not limited to this. Staircase units that can be used to compose the staircase 1 include straight staircase units, spiral staircase units, landing units, etc. For example, the staircase 1 may be a staircase composed of straight staircase units and landing units (return staircases, hinged staircases, straight staircases with landings, double-return staircases with landings, spiral staircases with upper and lower landings, etc.). Furthermore, spiral staircases and hinged staircases may be composed of spiral staircase units instead of landing units. Furthermore, the staircase 1 may be a staircase composed of straight staircase units and spiral staircase units (lower spiral staircases, upper spiral staircases, upper and lower spiral staircases (three-stage spiral staircases), etc.). In other words, the type of staircase 1 is not particularly limited.
Furthermore, the staircase 1 can be formed by freely combining each of the above standardized staircase units, and the staircase units required to form the staircase 1 may be bundled together as a staircase set.
In addition, the arrangement and quantity of the structural materials (construction panels, beams 4, etc.) that make up the stairwell may be changed as appropriate depending on the type of staircase 1.

A balustrade wall 10 is installed in the stairwell along the ascending and descending direction (front-to-back direction) of the stairs 1. The balustrade wall 10 is a sloped balustrade wall with the entire top surface, or a portion (almost the entire surface, excluding a portion) of the balustrade wall 10 being an inclined surface. It is composed of a rectangular wooden wall panel 2 and a wooden framework structure 11 formed by assembling a frame on the wall panel 2. In other words, the balustrade wall 10 is a spandrel wall composed of the wall panel 2 and framework members (such as diagonal members 12, horizontal members 13, vertical members 14, and cross members 15, described below). As shown in Figures 2 to 4, the balustrade wall 10 of this embodiment has a horizontal surface at the end (front end) of the top surface of the balustrade wall 10 on the ascending side in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs 1, and the remaining portion is an inclined surface.

The arrangement and number of wall panels 2 constituting the balustrade wall 10 are changed as appropriate depending on the size (planar length (front-to-back dimension), etc.) of the balustrade wall 10. For example, the number of wall panels 2 constituting the balustrade wall 10 may be one or more.
The balustrade wall 10 of this embodiment includes three wall panels 2 arranged in a staggered arrangement as shown in Figures 2 and 3. That is, the balustrade wall 10 of this embodiment includes three wall panels 2 having different heights, and the bottom surfaces of the three wall panels 2 are flush with each other. The three wall panels 2 are arranged in order of height, with the wall panel 2 with the shortest height positioned at the lowermost side (rear side) in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs 1 and the wall panel 2 with the longest height positioned at the uppermost side (front side) in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs 1. Hereinafter, the wall panel 2 with the shortest height among the three wall panels 2 will be referred to as the "low wall panel," the wall panel 2 with the longest height will be referred to as the "high wall panel," and the wall panel 2 arranged between the low and high wall panels will be referred to as the "middle wall panel."

The frame structure 11 is constructed by combining multiple pieces of sawn lumber (square timbers and planks). Specifically, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the frame structure 11 is composed of diagonal members 12 and horizontal members 13 that form the upper surface of the parapet wall 10, multiple vertical members 14 that are spaced apart between the diagonal members 12 and horizontal members 13 and the wall panel 2, horizontal members 15 that are placed between the vertical members 14 and the wall panel 2, and base members 16 that are placed between the vertical members 14, 14. The thickness dimension (left-right dimension) of the frame structure 11 is set to be approximately the same as the thickness dimension (left-right dimension) of the wall panel 2.

The diagonal members 12 form the inclined surface of the upper surface of the handrail wall 10, and the horizontal members 13 form the horizontal surface of the upper surface of the handrail wall 10. Reinforcement members (splints) 17 are installed at the joints (joints) between the diagonal members 12 and the horizontal members 13. Specifically, the reinforcement members 17 are connecting members that connect the diagonal members 12 and the horizontal members 13, and are installed on the undersides of the diagonal members 12 and the horizontal members 13, spanning the diagonal members 12 and the horizontal members 13.
It is also possible to add a vertical member 14 at a position supporting the joint between the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13 without providing the reinforcing member 17, and fix the end of the diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the horizontal member 13) and the end of the horizontal member 13 (the end that contacts the diagonal member 12) to the added vertical member 14. However, the reinforcing member 17 is shorter than the vertical member 14, and using the reinforcing member 17 is preferable because it reduces costs compared to adding the vertical member 14.
In addition, the entire upper surface of the handrail wall 10 may be an inclined surface, in which case the horizontal member 13 (and the reinforcing member 17) is not provided.

The arrangement and number of diagonal members 12 that make up the frame structure 11 can be changed as appropriate depending on the size of the handrail wall 10 (planar length (front-to-back dimension), etc.). For example, the number of diagonal members 12 that make up the frame structure 11 may be one, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, or multiple, as shown in Figure 5. In other words, the frame structure 11 may be equipped with multiple diagonal members 12 that are lined up in the ascending and descending direction (front-to-back direction) of the staircase 1. In this case, adjustment members (fillers) 18a and joint members (splints) 18b are provided at the joints between the diagonal members 12, 12, as shown in Figure 5.

Specifically, as shown in Figure 5(a), for example, if the joint (joint) between diagonal members 12, 12 is located near one vertical member 14, and the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) is in a position where it can be fixed (e.g., with screws) to the one vertical member 14, but the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the one diagonal member 12) is in a position where it is difficult to fix to the one vertical member 14, then an adjustment member 18a (e.g., an offcut of a vertical core member with a length of 200 mm or more) is attached to the upper end of the one vertical member 14. Then, the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) is fixed to the one vertical member 14 using a fastener (e.g., a screw), adhesive, or a combination of these. Additionally, the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one of the diagonal members 12) is fixed to the adjustment member 18a using a fastener (such as a screw), adhesive, or a combination of these, thereby fixing it to the one vertical member 14 via the adjustment member 18a.

It is also possible to add a vertical member 14 at a position that supports the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12) without providing the adjustment member 18a, and then fix the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12) to the added vertical member 14. However, the adjustment member 18a is shorter than the vertical member 14, and using the adjustment member 18a is preferable as it reduces costs compared to adding a vertical member 14.

Furthermore, for example, as shown in Figure 5(b), if the joint (connection) between the diagonal members 12, 12 is not located near the vertical member 14, i.e., if the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) is in a position where it is difficult to fix (e.g., fix with screws) it to the vertical member 14, and the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12) is also in a position where it is difficult to fix it to the vertical member 14, then one diagonal member 12 and the other diagonal member 12 are connected by a coupling member 18b. That is, a joint material 18b (for example, an offcut of a vertical core material 300 mm or longer in length) is placed so as to cover the joint between the diagonal members 12, 12 from below, and both the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) and the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the one diagonal member 12) are fixed to the joint material 18b using fixing devices (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both.

It is also possible to add a vertical member 14 at a position supporting the joint between the diagonal members 12, 12 without providing the joint member 18b, and fix the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) and the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the one diagonal member 12) to the added vertical member 14. However, the joint member 18b is shorter than the vertical member 14, and using the joint member 18b is preferable because it reduces costs compared to adding the vertical member 14.
Furthermore, when the handrail wall 10 has three or more diagonal members 12, the frame structure 11 may have adjustment members 18a without joint members 18b, or may have joint members 18b without adjustment members 18a, or may have both.

The vertical members 14 are arranged side by side in the ascending and descending direction (front-to-back direction) of the staircase 1. The arrangement and number of the vertical members 14 constituting the framework structure 11 can be changed as appropriate depending on the size of the handrail wall 10 (planar length (front-to-back dimension), etc.).
Hereinafter, among the multiple vertical members 14, the vertical member 14 located furthest down in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs 1 will be referred to as the "lowest vertical member 14," the vertical member 14 located furthest up in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs 1 will be referred to as the "topmost vertical member 14," and the vertical member 14 located between the bottommost vertical member 14 and the topmost vertical member 14 will be referred to as the "middle vertical member 14."
The framework structure 11 includes at least a bottom vertical member 14 and a top vertical member 14. In addition, one or more intermediate vertical members 14 may be included as needed.

In the framework structure 11 of this embodiment, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the lowest vertical member 14 is erected at the rear end of the upper end surface of the low wall panel, and the highest vertical member 14 is erected at the front end of the upper end surface of the high wall panel. Furthermore, intermediate vertical members 14 are erected at the front end of the upper end surface of the low wall panel (the step between the low wall panel and the middle wall panel) and at the front end of the upper end surface of the middle wall panel (the step between the middle wall panel and the high wall panel). Furthermore, intermediate vertical members 14 are erected at approximately the center in the fore-and-aft direction on the upper end surface of the low wall panel and at approximately the center in the fore-and-aft direction on the upper end surface of the high wall panel.

The horizontal member 15 is a reinforcing member provided to reinforce the vertical members 14, and is arranged between the lowest vertical member 14 and the wall panel 2 (lower wall panel) that supports the lowest vertical member 14. The horizontal member 15 is placed and fixed on the upper end surface of the wall panel 2 (lower wall panel) in a state where it is connected to the lowest vertical member 14 in an L-shape, that is, in a state where it is joined to the lowest vertical member 14 and integrated as a single L-shaped member.
Of the multiple vertical members 14, the vertical member 14 that is subjected to the greatest vertical load is the lowest vertical member 14, which is fixed to the wall panel 2 via a horizontal member 15. Therefore, the horizontal member 15 can distribute the vertical load from the lowest vertical member 14, thereby improving the strength of the balustrade wall 10, specifically its strength to withstand vertical loads.

The base material (base plywood) 16 is a reinforcing member provided to support the bracket portion (handrail bracket) of the staircase handrail component, and is attached when the staircase handrail component is installed on the handrail wall 10.
The base material 16 is bridged between adjacent vertical members 14, 14 with the left side surface (the surface facing the stairs 1) of the base material 16 being approximately flush with the left side surface (the surface facing the stairs 1) of the vertical member 14. Specifically, support members 16a are fixed to the opposing surfaces of the adjacent vertical members 14, 14, and the base material 16 is bridged and fixed between the support member 16a attached to one vertical member 14 and the support member 16a attached to the other vertical member 14.
In addition, if no staircase handrail parts are installed on the handrail wall 10, the base material 16 (and the support piece 16a) do not need to be attached.

The balustrade wall 10 is covered entirely or partially (almost entirely except for a portion) with a fire-resistant covering material 5. Therefore, the balustrade wall 10 is installed in a state where it is sandwiched on both sides by a fire-resistant covering material 5 that covers the left side surface of the balustrade wall 10 (the surface facing the staircase 1) and a fire-resistant covering material 5 that covers the right side surface of the balustrade wall 10 (the surface opposite the staircase 1). Note that the fire-resistant covering material 5 is not shown in Figure 2.
The arrangement and quantity of the fire-resistant covering material 5 covering the handrail wall 10 will be changed as appropriate depending on the size of the handrail wall 10 (planar length (front-to-back dimension), etc.).

As shown in Figure 4, the fire-resistant covering material 5 covering the right side of the framework structure 11 is provided across the wall panel 2 that constitutes the parapet wall 10 and the framework structure 11. Similarly, the fire-resistant covering material 5 covering the left side of the framework structure 11 is provided across the wall panel 2 that constitutes the parapet wall 10 and the framework structure 11.
That is, the parapet wall 10 is sandwiched on both the left and right sides by the fire-resistant covering material 5, and furthermore, the joints (joints) between the wall panels 2 and the framework structure 11 are covered with the fire-resistant covering material 5. This allows the horizontal load (particularly the load in the left-right direction) acting on the framework structure 11 to be efficiently transmitted to the wall panels 2 that support the framework structure 11, thereby improving the strength of the parapet wall 10, specifically its strength to withstand horizontal loads.

4, the right side of the frame structure 11 is covered with a plurality of fire-resistant covering materials 5 (five fire-resistant covering materials 5 in FIG. 4). The width dimension (front-to-back dimension) of each fire-resistant covering material 5 covering the right side of the frame structure 11 is set so that one end (front end) of the fire-resistant covering material 5 in the width direction overlaps one vertical member 14 (overlapping in a side view), and the other end (rear end) of the fire-resistant covering material 5 in the width direction overlaps one vertical member 14 different from the one vertical member 14 (overlapping in a side view).
Similarly, the left side surface of the framework structure 11 is also covered with a plurality of fire-resistant covering materials 5. The width dimension (front-to-back dimension) of each fire-resistant covering material 5 covering the left side surface of the framework structure 11 is also set so that one end portion (front end portion) of the fire-resistant covering material 5 in the width direction overlaps with one vertical member 14 on the left and right (overlaps in a side view), and the other end portion (rear end portion) of the fire-resistant covering material 5 in the width direction overlaps with another vertical member 14 different from the one vertical member 14 on the left and right (overlaps in a side view).

Of the fire-resistant covering materials 5 covering the balustrade wall 10, the joints (joints) between adjacent fire-resistant covering materials 5, 5 in the ascending/descending direction of the staircase 1 are located on the sides of the vertical members 14, so the ends of the fire-resistant covering materials 5, 5 that contact each other can be fixed to the same vertical member 14. In other words, the end of one fire-resistant covering material 5 (the end that contacts the other fire-resistant covering material 5) and the end of the other fire-resistant covering material 5 (the end that contacts the one fire-resistant covering material 5) can be fixed to the same vertical member 14. In other words, adjacent fire-resistant covering materials 5, 5 in the ascending/descending direction of the staircase 1 can be joined by a single vertical member 14.

[Construction method for handrail walls]
Next, an example of a method for constructing the balustrade wall 10 will be described with reference to FIGS. 6 to 8.
After the foundation work is completed, the framework is assembled at the construction site, and the structural panels and beams 4 that make up the staircase are assembled during the assembly work.
That is, the installation work of the wall panels 2 that make up the balustrade wall 10 is carried out during the assembly work. If the balustrade wall 10 is made up of multiple wall panels 2, a set of wall panels 2 corresponding to the planar length of the balustrade wall 10 (a set of wall panels 2 arranged in staggered steps) will be transported to the construction site.
The installation of the staircase 1 is also carried out during the assembly work. The staircase units that make up the staircase 1 are assembled in advance in a factory or the like and then transported to the construction site.

After the construction of the framework is completed, the outer shape of the balustrade wall 10 is determined.
Specifically, the stair components to be installed (stair units, existing stairs, skeleton stairs, etc.) are measured, the gradient angle of the stairs 1 is determined, and then the outer shape of the handrail wall 10 is determined. Then, based on the determined outer shape of the handrail wall 10, each member that makes up the framework structure 11 (diagonal members 12, horizontal members 13, vertical members 14, horizontal members 15, base members 16, etc.) is prepared.
For example, a set of frame materials (e.g., 30 mm x 90 mm square timbers) of a length and number corresponding to the planar length of the balustrade wall 10, vertical core materials (e.g., 38 mm x 90 mm square timbers) of a length and number corresponding to the planar length of the balustrade wall 10, and a number of plywood sheets (e.g., 150 mm x 1820 mm boards (9 mm thick)) corresponding to the planar length of the balustrade wall 10 are transported to the construction site. The transported frame materials are then processed to prepare diagonal members 12, horizontal members 13, cross members 15, etc. The transported vertical core materials are also processed to prepare vertical members 14, etc. The transported plywood is also processed to prepare base materials 16, etc.

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the lowest vertical member 14 is fixed to the wall panel 2.
Specifically, first, as shown in Figure 6(a), the lowest vertical member 14 and horizontal member 15 are assembled in an L shape so that the rear surface of the lowest vertical member 14 and the rear end surface of the horizontal member 15 are flush with each other, and the lowest vertical member 14 is fixed to the top surface of the horizontal member 15 using fixing devices (e.g., structural screws), adhesive, or a combination of these.
6(b), the horizontal member 15, which is integral with the lowest vertical member 14, is fixed to the upper end surface of the wall panel 2 (lower wall panel) using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of these. This allows the lowest vertical member 14 to stand upright on the wall panel 2 (lower wall panel).

Next, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the entire framework structure 11 is framed.
Specifically, as shown in Figure 7, the top vertical member 14 is first fixed to the top end surface of the wall panel 2 (high wall panel) using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both. Also, the middle vertical members 14 are fixed to the stepped portions (top and rear end surfaces) of the wall panels 2 (low wall panel, middle wall panel, high wall panel) arranged in staggered steps using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both.
7, the diagonal members 12 are fixed to the upper end surfaces of the vertical members 14 (the lowest vertical member 14 and the intermediate vertical members 14) erected on the wall panel 2 by using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both. Furthermore, the intermediate vertical members 14 are positioned approximately in the center of the wall panel 2 (for example, the low wall panel and the high wall panel) in the front-to-rear direction, and are fixed to the upper end surfaces of the wall panel 2 and the diagonal members 12 by using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both.

8, the horizontal member 13 is positioned so that the front end of its underside contacts the upper end surface of the top vertical member 14 and the rear end surface of the horizontal member 13 contacts the front end surface of the diagonal member 12, and is fixed to the upper end surface of the top vertical member 14 using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both. Furthermore, a reinforcing member 17 (for example, an offcut of a stile about 300 mm in length) is positioned so as to straddle the diagonal member 12 and horizontal member 13, and is fixed to the underside of the diagonal member 12 and the underside of the horizontal member 13 using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both.
The upper end faces of the vertical members 14 (the lowest vertical members 14, the middle vertical members 14, and the highest vertical member 14) are inclined, and the inclination angle is set to the same as the gradient angle of the staircase 1. The spacing between the vertical members 14 is set to a length (for example, 455 mm or less) suitable for fixing the fire-resistant covering material 5. The both end faces (front and rear end faces) of the diagonal members 12 and horizontal members 13 are each vertical.

Next, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the base material 16 is attached to complete the handrail wall 10.
Specifically, the support beams 16a (e.g., scrap wood from rough siding, etc.) are fixed to the opposing surfaces (front and rear surfaces) of adjacent vertical members 14, 14 using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both. The base material 16 is then placed across the pair of opposing support beams 16a, 16a and fixed in place using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of both. The vertical centerline of the base material 16 is inclined, and the angle of inclination is set to be the same as the gradient angle of the staircase 1. Both end surfaces (front and rear end surfaces) of the base material 16 are vertical.

Next, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, the balustrade wall 10 is covered with a fire-resistant covering material 5.
Specifically, the fire-resistant covering material 5 is fixed to the wall panels 2 and framework structure 11 (mainly the diagonal members 12, horizontal members 13, vertical members 14, and cross members 15) that make up the balustrade wall 10 using fasteners (screws, etc.), adhesive, or a combination of these. As shown in Figure 6(b), a gap G is provided between the staircase 1 and the wall panels 2 that make up the balustrade wall 10, allowing the fire-resistant covering material 5 to be inserted between the staircase 1 and the wall panels 2 through this gap G. This allows almost the entire side surface (left and right surfaces) of the balustrade wall 10 to be covered with the fire-resistant covering material 5.

Thereafter, the balustrade wall 10 is fitted with copings, stair railing parts, wallpaper, etc.
In this manner, the construction of the balustrade wall 10 is completed. The coping may be attached before the balustrade wall 10 is covered with the fire-resistant covering material 5.
Furthermore, the covering process of covering the walls, floor, and ceiling of the staircase with the fire-resistant covering material 5 can be carried out at any time. Specifically, the covering process may be carried out simultaneously with the process of covering the balustrade wall 10 with the fire-resistant covering material 5, or may be carried out after the assembly work of the framework is completed and before the outer shape of the balustrade wall 10 is determined.
Furthermore, the covering step of covering the staircase 1 with the fire-resistant covering material 5 can be performed at any timing. Specifically, the covering step may be performed simultaneously with the step of covering the balustrade wall 10 with the fire-resistant covering material 5, or may be performed after the assembly work of the framework is completed and before the outer shape of the balustrade wall 10 is determined.

[Modification]
The embodiments to which the present invention can be applied are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be modified as appropriate without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
For example, the staircase 1 in the above-described embodiment (Figures 1 to 8) is a straight staircase made up of multiple straight staircase units, and therefore has only one ascending and descending direction, but the staircase 1 may also have multiple ascending and descending directions, as shown in Figures 9 and 10. That is, the staircase 1 in the above-described embodiment is provided with one handrail wall 10, but the staircase 1 may also be provided with multiple handrail walls 10, as shown in Figures 9 and 10.

The staircase 1 shown in Figure 9(a) is a return staircase composed of a straight staircase unit and a landing unit, and has two parallel ascending and descending directions (first ascending and descending direction and second ascending and descending direction). A handrail wall 10 (handrail wall 10A) is installed along the first ascending and descending direction, and a handrail wall 10 (handrail wall 10B) is installed along the second ascending and descending direction.
As shown in Figure 9(b), the handrail wall 10A provided along the first lifting direction is composed of one wall panel 2 and a framework structure 11 having diagonal members 12, vertical members 14, and horizontal members 15. The entire upper surface of this handrail wall 10A is an inclined surface, so it does not have horizontal members 13 (and reinforcing members 17).
The handrail wall 10B, which is arranged along the second lifting direction, is composed of two wall panels 2 arranged in staggered steps, and a frame structure 11 having diagonal members 12, horizontal members 13 (and reinforcing members 17), vertical members 14, and horizontal members 15, as shown in Figure 9 (c).

The staircase 1 shown in Figure 10(a) is a hinged staircase composed of a straight staircase unit and a landing unit, and has two mutually perpendicular ascending and descending directions (third ascending and descending direction and fourth ascending and descending direction). A handrail wall 10 (handrail wall 10C) is installed along the third ascending and descending direction, and a handrail wall 10 (handrail wall 10D) is installed along the fourth ascending and descending direction.
As shown in Figure 10(b), the handrail wall 10C provided along the third ascending/descending direction is composed of one wall panel 2 and a framework structure 11 having diagonal members 12, vertical members 14, and horizontal members 15. This handrail wall 10C does not have horizontal members 13 (and reinforcing members 17) because the entire upper surface is an inclined surface.
10(b), the balustrade wall 10D provided along the fourth ascending/descending direction is composed of wall panels 2 (for example, a plurality of wall panels 2 arranged in staggered steps) and a framework structure 11 having diagonal members 12, horizontal members 13, vertical members 14, and horizontal members 15. In this balustrade wall 10D, the end of the upper surface of the balustrade wall 10D on the downward side in the ascending/descending direction of the staircase 1 (fourth ascending/descending direction) is a horizontal plane.

In addition, in the above-described embodiments (Figures 1 to 8), a horizontal surface is provided on the upper surface of the handrail wall 10 at the end on the ascending side in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs 1, and the remaining portion is an inclined surface, but this is not limited to this. For example, as with the handrail wall 10D shown in Figure 10, a horizontal surface may be provided on the upper surface of the handrail wall 10 at the end on the descending side in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs 1. Alternatively, a horizontal surface may be provided on the upper surface of the handrail wall 10 in approximately the center in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs 1 (between the end on the ascending side and the end on the descending side). Alternatively, multiple horizontal surfaces may be provided (for example, at both ends on the ascending and descending sides in the ascending/descending direction of the stairs 1).

〔effect〕
According to this embodiment (including the modified examples), the following excellent effects are achieved.
In other words, the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment is a handrail wall of a staircase 1 that connects the upper and lower floors of a building, and comprises a rectangular (rectangular) wall panel 2 and a wooden frame structure 11 provided on the wall panel 2, with the upper surface being an inclined surface, and the frame structure 11 is configured with diagonal members 12 that form the inclined surface, vertical members 14 provided between the wall panel 2 and the diagonal members 12, and horizontal members 15 provided between the wall panel 2 and the vertical members 14.

Therefore, the upper part of the handrail wall 10, including the inclined surface (top surface), can be constructed of a frame structure 11 formed by frame-mounting it on the wall panel 2.
In this way, by constructing the upper part of the balustrade wall 10, including the inclined surface (top surface), with a framework structure 11, it is possible to build the balustrade wall 10 without using a wall panel (a right-angled triangular or right-angled trapezoidal wall panel) with an inclined surface that matches the gradient of the stairs 1, thereby reducing the effort and cost. Also, by constructing the upper part of the balustrade wall 10, including the inclined surface (top surface), with a framework structure 11, the inclination angle of the inclined surface can be set as desired, and the balustrade wall 10 can be built to match the gradient of each individual staircase, thereby minimizing the impact on the design freedom of the stairs 1.
Furthermore, the balustrade wall 10 of this embodiment is composed of a wall panel 2 (a wooden architectural panel) and a wooden framework structure 11. In other words, the balustrade wall 10 of this embodiment is a wooden spandrel wall that does not use metal such as steel frames in the framework, and therefore can contribute to realizing a carbon-free society by promoting carbon neutrality and achieving the SDGs.

In addition, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, the frame structure 11 has a plurality of vertical members 14 arranged at intervals in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs 1, and the horizontal member 15 is provided between the vertical member 14 (the lowest vertical member 14) that is located furthest down in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs 1 and the wall panel 2.
That is, the horizontal member 15 is provided between the vertical member 14 (the lowest vertical member 14) that receives the most vertical load among the multiple vertical members 14, and the wall panel 2, so the load is transmitted from the lowest vertical member 14 to the wall panel 2 via the horizontal member 15. Therefore, the load transmitted from the lowest vertical member 14 can be dispersed by the horizontal member 15, and the strength of the balustrade wall 10 (strength to withstand vertical loads) can be increased.

The vertical member 14 between which the horizontal member 15 is provided is not limited to one vertical member 14 (the lowest vertical member 14), but may be a plurality of vertical members 14 (including the lowest vertical member 14). When horizontal members 15 are provided between a plurality of vertical members 14 and the wall panel 2, the horizontal members 15 provided between each vertical member 14 and the wall panel 2 may be independent, or may be connected to each other to form an integrated structure (including the case where a single horizontal member 15 is provided between a plurality of vertical members 14 and the wall panel 2).
As in this embodiment, by providing horizontal members 15 only to the vertical members 14 (the lowest vertical members 14) among the multiple vertical members 14 that are subjected to the greatest vertical load, the number of parts that make up the frame structure 11 can be reduced as much as possible, and the frame structure 11 can be easily assembled.

Furthermore, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, if the upper surface of the handrail wall 10 has a horizontal surface in addition to an inclined surface, the frame structure 11 can be configured to include a horizontal member 13 that forms the horizontal surface and a reinforcing member 17 that connects the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13.
By configuring it in this manner, a reinforcing member 17 that connects the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13 is provided at the joint between the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13, thereby reducing costs compared to adding a vertical member 14 to support the joint between the diagonal member 12 and the horizontal member 13.

Furthermore, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, if the dimensions of the handrail wall 10 (dimensions in the gradient direction of the staircase 1) are long, the frame structure 11 can be provided with a plurality of diagonal members 12 arranged in a series in the ascending and descending direction of the staircase 1, and adjustment members 18a attached to the vertical members 14, so that one end of each adjacent diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts the other diagonal member 12) is fixed to the vertical member 14, and the other end (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12) is fixed to the adjustment member 18a attached to the vertical member 14.
By configuring it in this manner, an adjustment member 18a for supporting the end of one diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12) is attached to the vertical member 14 supporting the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12), so costs can be reduced compared to adding a vertical member 14 to support the end of the other diagonal member 12 (the end that contacts one diagonal member 12).

Furthermore, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, if the dimensions of the handrail wall 10 (dimensions in the gradient direction of the stairs 1) are long, the frame structure 11 can be configured to include a plurality of diagonal members 12 arranged in a row in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs 1, and joint members 18b that connect the diagonal members 12, 12 to each other.
By configuring it in this manner, a joint member 18b that connects one diagonal member 12 to the other diagonal member 12 is provided at the joint between the diagonal members 12, 12, so costs can be reduced compared to adding a vertical member 14 to support the joint between the diagonal members 12, 12.

Furthermore, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, when the dimension of the handrail wall 10 (the dimension in the gradient direction of the stairs 1) is long, it is possible to configure it with a plurality of wall panels 2 arranged in a row in the ascending and descending direction of the stairs, specifically, a plurality of wall panels 2 with different height dimensions, whose lower end faces are flush with each other, and which are arranged in order of height.
This configuration allows the multiple wall panels 2 that make up the balustrade wall 10 to be arranged in staggered positions. This means that some of the multiple vertical members 14 can be fixed not only to the upper end faces of the wall panels 2, but also to the step between the wall panels 2 (the end face of the higher wall panel 2 (the end face that contacts the lower wall panel 2)), which increases the fixing strength of the framework structure 11 to the wall panels 2 and improves the structural stability and durability of the balustrade wall 10.
When the balustrade wall 10 is made up of a plurality of wall panels 2, the height dimensions of one wall panel 2 and the other wall panels 2 among the plurality of wall panels 2 may be the same. In other words, when the balustrade wall 10 is made up of a plurality of wall panels 2, the top surfaces of one wall panel 2 and the other wall panels 2 among the plurality of wall panels 2 may be flush with each other.

Furthermore, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, the handrail wall 10 is covered entirely or partially (almost entirely except for a part) with a fire-resistant covering material 5 (covering material), and the fire-resistant covering material 5 that covers both sides of the frame structure 11 (the side on the staircase 1 side and the side opposite the staircase 1) is provided across from the frame structure 11 to the wall panel 2.
That is, the parapet wall 10 is installed sandwiched on both sides by the fire-resistant covering material 5, and furthermore, the joints between the wall panels 2 and the framework structure 11 are covered with the fire-resistant covering material 5, so that the horizontal load acting on the framework structure 11 is not only transmitted directly to the wall panels 2, but also to the wall panels 2 via the fire-resistant covering material 5. Therefore, the horizontal load (particularly the load in the left-right direction) acting on the framework structure 11 can be efficiently transmitted to the wall panels 2 that support the framework structure 11, thereby increasing the strength of the parapet wall 10 (strength to withstand horizontal loads).

Furthermore, in the handrail wall 10 of this embodiment, when both sides of the framework structure 11 (the side on the staircase 1 side and the side opposite the staircase 1) are covered with a plurality of fire-resistant covering materials 5, it is possible to configure the joints (connecting portions) between the fire-resistant covering materials 5, 5 to be located on the side of the vertical member 14.
By configuring it in this manner, it becomes possible to fix the end of the fire-resistant covering material 5 (the end that comes into contact with an adjacent fire-resistant covering material 5) to the vertical member 14, thereby increasing the fixing strength of the fire-resistant covering material 5 to the handrail wall 10 and improving the structural stability and durability of the handrail wall 10.
The covering material that covers the balustrade wall 10 is not limited to the fire-resistant covering material 5, but may be, for example, a heat insulating panel or a sound-absorbing panel.
