Description

This invention relates to a vertically roofed exterior structure that can minimize rainwater that attempts to seep into the interior from the flat exterior surface that serves as the rainwater flow surface, and is not subject to restrictions such as the shape of the building or the placement of exterior materials.

Conventionally, many roofs have been proposed that have an exterior surface that appears flat.
Since this type of roofing material has a connection part of the exterior material below the exterior surface onto which rainwater flows, many methods have been proposed to prevent rainwater from seeping inside the building.
In most cases, gutters are installed on the backside of the joints of the exterior materials, and the exterior materials are connected on or within the gutters, so that water seeping in from the joints flows down and is drained away through the gutters.

For example, the gutter structure described in Patent Document 1 has a structure in which a garter, which is a through member, is attached to a groove formed on the base material side, and the sides of adjacent outer enclosures are fixed within this garter with retaining clips, and a lid, plug, holder, etc. are used.
In addition, Patent Document 2 discloses a structure in which a plurality of grooves 4 are provided in a base material 2, and a gutter garter 6 is fitted into the grooves 4, with the sides of adjacent outer enclosures 8 facing the inside or top of the gutter garter 6.
Furthermore, Patent Document 3 describes a structure in which a gutter member 3, which is a through member, is sandwiched and fixed between a receiving member 6 arranged below and a retaining clip member 4 arranged above, and a cap 2 is engaged with the retaining clip member 4 with the side end of the roofing material 1 arranged within the gutter member 3.

特許第3987743号公報Patent No. 3987743 特開2002-146975号公報Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-146975 特許第3501703号公報Patent No. 3501703

However, the exterior materials such as the outer enclosures and roofing materials in Patent Documents 1 to 3 require gutters to be installed on the backside and the exterior materials to be connected above or within the gutters. Therefore, in order to prevent eventual water leakage, installation on roofs with special shapes requires careful attention, resulting in time-consuming design and construction. Furthermore, while gutters of this type are designed to be installed in the direction of water flow, depending on the building's shape, they may need to be placed at an angle to the flow, which often results in inconsistencies with the standard water flow path.

The present invention aims to propose a vertical roofing exterior structure that can minimize rainwater that attempts to seep into the interior from the flat exterior surface onto which it flows, and that is not subject to restrictions such as the shape of the building or the placement of exterior materials.

The present invention has been proposed in view of the above, and is an exterior structure including a connecting portion between a fitting portion formed on a side edge of a face plate portion and a fitting receiving portion formed on the side edge of the face plate portion, wherein the fitting receiving portion has a fitting portion formed by folding the side edge of the face plate portion downward and inward, and a groove-like portion extending downward and outward from the fitting portion, and the fitting portion has a hanging portion hanging down on the back surface side and a locking portion extending upward and outward from the lower end of the hanging portion, and the fitting portion is connected to a fitted portion of a holding member, and the locking portion is connected to the fitting portion, The vertically roofed exterior structure is characterized in that the hanging portions are fitted together and assembled, and spaces are formed between the hanging portions and the inner and outer walls of the groove-shaped portion, and a first exterior material is used in which the insertion portions are provided on both side edges of the first panel portion, and a second exterior material is used in which the insertion receiving portions are provided on both side edges of the second panel portion, and the first exterior material and the second exterior material that are adjacent in the left-right direction are arranged and connected alternately so that the panel portions of each are one surface .

Furthermore, the present invention proposes a vertical roofing exterior structure in which adjacent connecting portions on the left and right are connected with drainage members and the retaining members disposed on their backsides.

In the vertical roofing exterior structure of the present invention, the insertion portion and the insertion receiving portion are each attached to the insertion portion of the retaining member, and without using a cover material or the like, the tip (upper end) of the groove portion formed between the hanging portion of the insertion portion and the locking portion and the tip (upper end) of the groove-shaped portion formed in the insertion receiving portion form a connection portion facing opposite directions (the entrances to the rainwater entry path are separated), thereby minimizing rainwater that attempts to seep into the interior from the flat exterior surface.
In particular, spaces are formed between the hanging portion of the fitting portion and the inner and outer walls that form the groove-like portion of the fitting-receiving portion, so that interfacial tension acts on rainwater and prevents it from being pulled upward.
Furthermore, the exterior structure uses a first exterior material having the insertion portions provided on both side edges of the first panel portion, and a second exterior material having the insertion receiving portions provided on both side edges of the second panel portion, and the first exterior material and the second exterior material adjacent to each other in the left-right direction are arranged and connected alternately so that the panel portions of each form a single surface. Therefore, it is only necessary to use two types of vertically laid exterior materials, and it is possible to combine parallel materials and tapered materials, or to combine exterior materials of different widths, making it possible to create roofs with special shapes and an exterior with enhanced design.

Furthermore, when adjacent connection parts on the left and right are connected with drainage members and the retaining members disposed on their backsides, the drainage members can prevent rainwater from seeping into the interior, allowing it to flow down and be drained to the water side.

(a) A front view showing a first exterior material used in a vertical roofing exterior structure of Example 1 of the present invention, (b) A front view showing a second exterior material used therefor, (c) A front view showing a connection part A in Example 1 , (d) A front view showing a connection part B in Example 1 , and (e) A front view showing a state in which a hanging part is arranged in a groove-shaped part in the connection part B.

The vertical roofing exterior structure of the present invention is an exterior structure that includes a connection between an insertion portion formed on the side edge of a face plate portion and an insertion-receiving portion formed on the side edge of the face plate portion. The insertion-receiving portion has an insertion portion formed by folding the side edge of the exterior material downward and inward, and a groove-like portion extending downward and outward from the insertion portion. The insertion portion has a hanging portion hanging down on the back side and a locking portion extending upward and outward from its lower end.

The vertical roofing exterior structure includes a connection between the fitting portion and the fitting-receiving portion, and is assembled by fitting the fitting portion of the fitting-receiving portion into the fitted portion of the holding member, and the locking portion of the fitting portion into the fitting portion, so that spaces are formed between the hanging portion and the inner wall and outer wall of the groove-shaped portion.

At the side edge where the fitting receiving portion is formed, rainwater from the panel portion is guided through the fitting portion to the groove-shaped portion, so by making the exterior wall particularly high (raising the upper end of the exterior wall), rainwater that tries to seep into the interior from the panel portion (exterior surface) can be suppressed.
At the side edge where the insertion portion is formed, rainwater from the panel portion is guided into the groove portion formed by the hanging portion and the locking portion, and this groove portion is located within the groove-shaped portion, i.e., located above the groove-shaped portion. Therefore, even if rainwater seeps in beyond the upper end of the locking portion, the groove-shaped portion can prevent the rainwater from seeping into the inside of the room.

The exterior material forming this vertical roofing exterior structure may be of only one type, or may be a combination of two or more types. In the case of only one type, the insertion portion is provided on one side edge of one panel portion, and the insertion receiving portion is provided on the other side edge, as in the illustrated embodiment ( reference example ) described below.
Furthermore, when two (or more) types of exterior materials are used to form this vertical roofing exterior material, at least a first exterior material having the insertion portion provided on both side edges of the first panel portion, and a second exterior material having the insertion receiving portion provided on both side edges of the second panel portion, as in the illustrated example ( Example 1 ) described below, are used.
This exterior material (vertical roofing exterior material) is formed from known metal materials, etc., and is formed (molded) by roll forming, press forming, or a combination of both. The thickness of the material is not particularly limited, but is generally about 0.4 to 1.6 mm.

As mentioned above, the fitting portion has a hanging portion that hangs down toward the back surface and a locking portion that extends upward and outward from the bottom end of the hanging portion. This locking portion fits into the fitting portion of the fitting receiver. It is also desirable to have a covering portion that folds back toward the back surface, as in the illustrated embodiment described below. Furthermore, spaces are formed between the hanging portion and the inner and outer walls of the groove-like portion of the fitting receiver. These spaces serve to prevent contact (proximity) between the hanging portion and the inner and outer walls, thereby preventing rainwater from rising due to interfacial (capillary) tension.

As described above, the fitting-receiving portion has a fitting portion formed by folding the side edge of the face plate portion downward and inward, and a groove-like portion extending downward and outward from the fitting portion. This fitting portion is fitted into the fitted portion of the holding member, so it may be formed in any shape depending on the shape of the holding member (fitted portion). Furthermore, it is desirable that the fitting-receiving portion also have a stepped portion that is folded down toward the back side in a stepped manner, as will be described later in the illustrated embodiment.
Furthermore, if a covering portion is provided on the insertion portion and a stepped portion is provided on the insertion receiving portion, and the covering portion is arranged so as to overlap the stepped portion, it is possible to prevent rainwater from entering the interior of the room when there is heavy rainfall (heavy rain) on the exterior surface (panel portion).

The panel portion has the insertion portion or the insertion receiving portion formed on its side edge, and is a flat portion formed horizontally, as in the illustrated example described below, which can form a roof whose exterior surface appears flat after construction, but is not particularly limited to this.
The same applies to the first face plate portion of the first exterior material and the second face plate portion of the second exterior material.

The retaining member forming this vertical roofing exterior structure is a member having a fitted portion into which the fitting portion of the fitting receiving portion is fitted, and may be a continuous through member that is continuous in the flow direction, or may be a plurality of members of a predetermined length that are arranged at predetermined intervals in the flow direction. Furthermore, as in the illustrated embodiment described later, it is desirable that the retaining member be arranged on the back side of the connecting portion in a state where it is arranged inside the drainage member.
This retaining member is a member that has an attachment portion for attaching to the base (construction surface) and the mating portion, and may be an extrusion molded product made of aluminum or hard resin, a pressed product made of plated steel plate, stainless steel plate, or the like, or a molded body made of ceramic, etc.

The drainage member is primarily a continuous material in the flow direction, but may also consist of multiple members that can be connected in the flow direction, and it is desirable to arrange it together with the retaining member as described above, thereby preventing rainwater from entering the interior of the room through the connected parts.
As for this drainage member, it is desirable that it be formed in a gutter shape as in the illustrated embodiment described later, and be formed in a substantially W-shape with a raised fixing portion provided in the center.
The drainage member may be made of a known metal material or the like, similar to the exterior material, or may be made of a different material.

When adjacent connection parts on the left and right are connected with drainage members and the retaining members disposed on their backsides, the drainage members prevent rainwater from seeping into the interior, ensuring that it flows down and is drained away.

In this way, in the vertical roofing exterior structure of the present invention, the fitting portion and the fitting-receiving portion are essentially attached to the fitting portion of the retaining member, and without the use of a cover material or the like, the tip (top end) of the groove portion formed between the hanging portion and the locking portion of the fitting portion and the tip (top end) of the groove-shaped portion formed in the fitting-receiving portion form a connection portion facing opposite directions (the entrances to the rainwater intrusion path are separated), thereby minimizing rainwater that attempts to seep into the interior from the flat exterior surface. Furthermore, when drainage members are used as described above, the drainage members, in addition to the double groove described above, further reliably prevent rainwater intrusion.

Of these, the downward piece 133 forms the inner wall of the groove-shaped portion 132, and the upward piece 134 forms the outer wall of the groove-shaped portion 132.

The retaining member 2, which has the mating portion 24 into which the mating portion 131 of the fitting receiving portion 13 is mated, is an aluminum extrusion molded product formed symmetrically with an S-shape attached to the left and right of an H-shape as shown in Figure 2(a), and is a piece material in which both ends of the bottom piece 21 are bent upward and the side piece portions 22, 22 are raised upward approximately in the center to form a flat fixing portion 23.
In the drawing, reference numeral 221 denotes a curved receiving portion formed by extending the upper end of the side piece portion 22 outward in a fan-out shape, reference numeral 25 denotes an elastic water-stop material attached to the back surface of the flat fixing portion 23, and reference numeral 26 denotes a protruding piece provided on the inner surface of the flat fixing portion 23. The fitted portion 24 denotes a portion formed below the protruding pieces 27 that protrude downward and outward from the upper end of the flat fixing portion 23.

The drainage member 3 used in this vertical roofing exterior structure of the reference example is a symmetrical gutter-shaped member that is fixed to the back side of the connecting parts (12, 13) of the exterior materials 1, 1 together with the holding member 2 using fasteners, and is shaped in a roughly W-shape as shown in Figure 2(b), allowing rainwater from the connecting parts (12, 13) to flow downward in the direction of flow and preventing it from seeping into the interior of the room. This drainage member 3 is formed (molded) by roll molding, press molding, or a combination of both, like the exterior material 1, and its material thickness is molded to be approximately 0.4 to 1.6 mm.
In the figure, symbol 31 denotes a bottom portion placed on the base 5, symbol 32 denotes a side portion formed by raising both side edges of the bottom portion 31 upward, symbol 33 denotes a raised fixing portion formed by raising approximately the center of the bottom portion 31 upward, and symbol 321 denotes a water-repelling portion formed by bending the upper end of the side portion 32 inward.

The dotted lines in these figures indicate fasteners such as long screws that are driven in from above. When these retaining member 2 and drainage member 3 are assembled so that the flat fixing portion 23 of the retaining member 2 covers the raised fixing portion 33 of the drainage member 3 as shown in Figure 2 (c), the fastener is driven in from above the flat fixing portion 23, penetrating the raised fixing portion 33 of the drainage member 3, and its lower end reaches the base 5, thereby securing it.
The base 5 is constructed by laying a sheathing board made of cemented wood wool board or the like on a framework (not shown) such as a main house, and then laying asphalt roofing on top of that.

In addition, the vertically roofed exterior structure of this reference example uses an insulating material indicated by the symbol 4, which has a constant height (thickness) approximately the same as that of the drainage member 3 and is arranged on the back side of the panel portion 11 of the exterior material 1.
This insulating material 4 is arranged between adjacent drainage members 3, 3 when the holding member 2 and the drainage member 3 are attached as described above, and serves to support the back surface of the exterior material 1 and keep the exterior surface horizontal.

In the reference example vertical roofing exterior structure constructed from these components, the insertion portion 12 and the insertion receiving portion 13 are each attached to the insertion receiving portion 24 of the retaining member 2, and without using a cover material or the like, the tip (upper end) of the groove portion 16 formed between the hanging portion 121 and the locking portion 122 of the insertion portion 12 and the tip (upper end) of the groove-shaped portion 132 formed in the insertion receiving portion 13 form connection portions (12, 13) facing opposite directions (the entrances to the rainwater entry path are separated), thereby minimizing rainwater that attempts to seep into the interior from the flat exterior surface.
In particular, as shown in Figure 1(e), spaces 132a and 132b are formed between the hanging portion 121 of the fitting portion 12 and the inner wall 133 and outer wall 134 that form the groove-shaped portion 132 of the fitting receiving portion 13, respectively, so that interfacial tension acts on rainwater and prevents it from being pulled upward.

Furthermore, in this reference example , an exterior material 1 is used in which the insertion portion 12 is provided on one side edge of one panel portion 11 and the insertion receiving portion 13 is provided on the other side edge, so that adjacent exterior materials 1, 1 in the left-right direction are connected so that the panel portions 11 of each form a single surface, and since only one type of vertically laid exterior material needs to be used, management of the components is easy.

Furthermore, in this reference example , a covering portion 14 is provided on the fitting portion 12, and a stepped portion 15 is provided on the fitting receiving portion 13, and when they are connected, the covering portion 14 is arranged to overlap the stepped portion 15, so that it is possible to prevent rainwater from entering the interior side when there is heavy rainfall (heavy rain) on the exterior surface (panel portion 11).

In this way, the vertical roofing exterior structure of the reference example achieves high watertightness by configuring multiple water-stopping means, namely, the stepped portion 15, the covered portion 14, the groove portion 16 (space portion 132a), the groove-shaped portion 132, and the space portion 132b.

In this embodiment , curved receiving portions 221 are provided on the left and right sides of the holding member 2 to support the backside of each face plate portion 11 (backing material 1b), thereby stably supporting each face plate portion 11. That is, most of the face plate portions 11 of the exterior packaging materials 1 are supported on their backsides by the heat insulating material 4, but are stably supported above the holding member 2 by the curved receiving portions 221.

Furthermore, in this reference example , as described above, the retaining member 2 and the drainage member 3 are fixed to the base 5 using fasteners (long screws, etc.) shown by dotted lines, but the elastic water-stopping material 25 interposed between the flat fixing portion 23 and the raised fixing portion 33 prevents rainwater from entering from the surface side, ensuring stable installation.
Furthermore, in this reference example , as mentioned above, the locking portion 122 is formed so that it exerts an elastic force outward after installation, so that it is securely locked into the fitting portion 131 and elastically abuts against the downward piece (inner wall) 133 of the groove-shaped portion 132, resulting in a higher level of watertightness.
Furthermore, the distance between the left and right protrusions 26, 26 of the holding member 2 is formed in advance to be slightly larger than the width of the raised fixing portion 33 of the drainage member 3, so that the holding member 2 can be attached to the drainage member 3 at a predetermined position.

The vertical roofing exterior structure of Example 1 of the present invention shown in Figures 3(c) and 3(d) is an example that uses two types of exterior materials 6, 7: a first exterior material 6 shown in Figure 3(a) and a second exterior material 7 shown in Figure 3(b), and is exactly the same as the reference example in that it uses the retaining member 2 and the drainage member 3.
However, in the above-mentioned reference example , the joint width is small (narrow), while in this Example 1 , the joint width is large (wide), thereby creating a different appearance design.

The first exterior material 6 is a vertically-roofed exterior material having insertion portions 62, 62 formed on the left and right side edges of a flat first panel portion 61, and symbol 6b is a backing material attached to the back surface of the first panel portion 61.
The second exterior material 7 is a vertically-roofed exterior material having fitting receiving portions 73, 73 formed on the left and right side edges of the flat second panel portion 71, and the symbol 7b is a backing material attached to the back surface of the second panel portion 71.
These first and second exterior materials 6 and 7 were molded (formed) by roll molding, press molding, or a combination of both, similar to the exterior material 1 in the reference example , and the material thickness was molded to approximately 0.4 to 1.6 mm.
At connection portion A shown in FIG. 3(c), the second exterior material 7 is arranged on the left side of the holding member 2, and the first exterior material 6 is arranged on the right side. At connection portion B shown in FIG. 3(d), the first exterior material 6 is arranged on the left side of the holding member 2, and the second exterior material 7 is arranged on the right side.

In addition, in the vertically roofed exterior structure of Example 1 , as in the reference example , an insulating material (not shown) having a constant height (thickness) approximately the same as that of the drainage member 3 is used, and is arranged on the back side of the first exterior material 6 and the second exterior material 7 (of their face plate portions 61, 71).
This insulating material is arranged between adjacent drainage members 3, 3 when installing the retaining member 2 and the drainage member 3, like the insulating material 4 in the reference example , and serves to support the back surfaces of the first exterior material 6 and the second exterior material 7, thereby maintaining the exterior surfaces (panel portions 61, 71) in a flush, horizontal position.

In the vertical roofing exterior structure of Example 1 constructed from these components, the fitting portion 62 and the fitting receiving portion 73 are each attached to the fitting portion 24 of the retaining member 2, and without using a cover material or the like, the tip (upper end) of the groove portion 66 formed between the hanging portion 621 and the locking portion 622 of the fitting portion 62 and the tip (upper end) of the groove-shaped portion 732 formed in the fitting receiving portion 73 form connection portions (62, 73) facing opposite directions (the entrances to the rainwater entry path are separated), thereby minimizing the amount of rainwater that attempts to seep into the interior from the flat exterior surface.
In particular, in this Example 1 , as in the above- described Reference Example , spaces 732a, 732b are formed between the hanging portion 621 of the fitting portion 62 and the inner wall 733 and outer wall 734 that form the groove-like portion 732 of the fitting-receiving portion 73, respectively, so that it is possible to prevent rainwater from being pulled upward by interfacial tension. Note that in this Example 1 , the above-described waterproofing effect at the connection portion B is shown in Figure 3(e), but the same is true at the connection portion A.

Furthermore, this Example 1 is an exterior structure that uses a first exterior material 6 that has fitting portions 62 on both side edges of a first panel portion 61, and a second exterior material 7 that has fitting receiving portions 73 on both side edges of a second panel portion 71, and the first exterior material 6 and the second exterior material 7 that are adjacent in the left-right direction are arranged and connected alternately so that the respective panel portions 61, 71 form a single surface. Therefore, it is only necessary to use two types of exterior materials 6, 7, and it is possible to combine parallel materials and tapered materials, or to combine exterior materials of different widths, making it possible to create roofs with special shapes and exteriors with enhanced design.

Furthermore, the holding member 2 used in this embodiment 1 is formed symmetrically, so that the mating portions 24, 24 formed on the left and right sides are effectively utilized. That is, in the connection portion A shown in Fig. 3(c), only the mating portion 24 on the right side of the holding member 2 is used, as in the reference example , and in the connection portion B shown in Fig. 3(d), only the mating portion 24 on the left side of the holding member 2 is used.
In the above-described reference example , only the right mating portion 24 is used, and therefore the unused left mating portion 24 is not necessary, but in this embodiment 1 , the left and right mating portions 24, 24 are effectively utilized. Therefore, this left-right symmetrical holding member 2 is effective as a member that can be applied to both the reference example and embodiment 1 .

Furthermore, the drainage member 3 used in this Example 1 is also formed symmetrically, but it does not necessarily have to be symmetrical as long as it can accommodate the holding member 2, and can be used as a member that can be applied to both these reference examples and Example 1 .

Furthermore, in this Example 1 , a covering portion 64 is provided on the fitting portion 62, and a stepped portion 75 is provided on the fitting receiving portion 73, and when they are connected, the covering portion 64 is arranged to overlap the stepped portion 75, so that it is possible to prevent rainwater from entering the interior side when there is heavy rainfall (heavy rain) on the exterior surface (panel portions 61, 71).

Also in this Example 1 , curved receiving portions 221, 221 are provided on the left and right sides of the holding member 2 to support the back surfaces of the face plate portions 61 (backing material 6b), 71 (backing material 7b), thereby stably supporting the face plate portions 61, 71. That is, the face plate portions 61, 71 of the two types of exterior materials 6, 7 are mostly supported on their back surfaces by a heat insulating material (not shown), but are stably supported above the holding member 2 by the curved receiving portions 221, 221.

In the vertical roofing exterior structure of this Example 1 , as in the above-mentioned reference example , high watertightness can be achieved by configuring multiple water-stopping means, namely, the stepped portion 75, the covered portion 64, the groove portion 66 (space portion 732a), the groove-shaped portion 732, and the space portion 732b, at both connection portion A and connection portion B.

The exterior material 6" shown in Figure 2(d) is a member formed in a cap shape by adjusting the width dimension of the face plate portion 61 of the first exterior material 6 to be shorter, and is exactly the same as the first exterior material 6 in that it has fitting portions 62 formed on both the left and right sides, and so the same reference numerals are used in the drawings and the description thereof is omitted.
The exterior material used in the present invention has an extremely simple shape and configuration, so that the working width can be easily adjusted like this exterior material 6'', and the working width can be easily adjusted to accommodate various roof surfaces.
