Description

The present invention relates to information display labels that display information about an item by printing various information on the top surface using an inkjet printer, laser printer, or the like, and then affixing the label to the item with the adhesive layer on the bottom exposed. These labels can be used, for example, as shipping slips and slips, labels to be affixed to products, and other display marks.

A known delivery slip for parcel delivery consists of a label base material with a sticker and receipt laid out on the top surface and an adhesive layer on the bottom surface, and a release sheet covering the adhesive layer. Information is printed on a portion of the release sheet's surface that overlaps the adhesive layer. After the release sheet is peeled off, the label base material is attached to the parcel for delivery. Once the parcel is delivered to its destination, when the delivery worker separates the receipt from the label base material, a portion of the release sheet is exposed on the top surface of the label base material, allowing the information printed on this portion to be seen.

13 to 16 show an example of the structure of such a delivery slip.
The illustrated delivery slip 100 is formed by stacking a label substrate 102 on the upper side of a transparent or translucent adhesive layer 101 formed by hardening the adhesive into a thin layer, and a release sheet 104 on the lower side via an adhesive layer 103.

As shown in Figures 13(A) and 14, the label base material 102 is pseudo-adhered to the adhesive layer 101 via a release agent layer (not shown). It is divided into left and right halves by a sheet dividing line 105 provided in the center of its top surface, which extends from the top surface of the label base material 102 to the boundary surface with the adhesive layer 101. A sticker 102a is laid out on one half of the divided surface, and a receipt 102b is laid out on the other half.

As shown in Figures 13(B) and 14, the release sheet 104 has a rectangular area on one half of the label base material 102 facing the receipt 102b, surrounded by a sheet dividing line 106 that extends from the underside of the release sheet 104 to the boundary surface with the adhesive layer 103, and is slightly smaller than the outline of the receipt 102. On the side of this surrounded area that overlaps the adhesive layer 103, an information display section 107 is formed that displays pre-printed information to notify the delivery address of the package.
The release sheet 104 has a non-peeling area 104a in the area surrounded by the sheet dividing line 106 that is directly adhered to the adhesive layer 103, and a peeling area 104b outside that that is bonded to the adhesive layer 103. When the release sheet 104 is peeled off to attach the delivery slip 100 to a package, the non-peeling area 104a surrounded by the sheet dividing line 106 is left behind, and the peeling area 104b around it peels off, exposing the adhesive layer 103 around the non-peeling area 104a.

The delivery slip 100 thus constructed has information necessary for parcel delivery, such as the parcel delivery destination, the name and address of the person requesting delivery, and a slip number, printed on the attachment slip 102a and receipt slip 102b by a printer, and then the release sheet 104 is peeled off to expose the adhesive layer 103 on the underside, which is then attached to the exterior of the parcel 108 to be delivered and used for delivery processing.
Once the delivery worker has delivered the package to the destination and handed it over, he or she peels off the receipt 102b from the label base material 102 and takes it home. As shown in Figure 15, when the delivery worker peels off the receipt 102b, the upper surface of the non-peeling area 104b of the release sheet 104 is exposed on the upper surface of the label base material 102 via the transparent adhesive layer 101, and the recipient of the package can see the information display area 107 printed in this area (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The release sheet 104 of the delivery slip 100 has a non-peeling area 104a surrounded by a sheet dividing line 106 within a peeling area 104b, and as shown in Figure 13(B) above, the peeling area 104b forms a narrow strip-like continuous portion 104b1 on three sides of the non-peeling area 104a.

Therefore, as shown in Figure 16, when peeling the release sheet 104 from the label base material 101 to attach the delivery slip 100 to the package 108, if the edge of the release sheet 104 is pinched and pulled, a twisting force is applied to the narrow portion 104b1 of the peel area 104b, and the narrow portion 104b1 may be torn.
If the narrow portion 104b1 is torn, the peelable area 104b remains partially on the adhesive layer 103, making it impossible to peel off the entire peelable area 104b of the release sheet 104 in one peeling operation, and it takes time to remove the release sheet 104 remaining on the adhesive layer 103, which can cause delays in the shipping process of packages.

In this case, if the peel strength of the adhesive layer 103 is weakened, it is possible to peel off the release sheet 104 smoothly without tearing even if the narrow portion 104b1 is extremely thin, but if the peel strength is weak, it becomes easier for the delivery slip 100 to peel off from the package 108 during delivery. If the delivery slip 100 peels off from the package 108, it will cause problems in the delivery process, and if the peeled-off delivery slip 100 is lost, there is a risk that the personal information of the recipient and sender printed on the slip will be leaked.
What is needed is a means for smoothly peeling off the release sheet 104 having the narrow width portion 104b1 in one peeling operation while maintaining the peel strength of currently used delivery slips.

In view of the problems with the prior art, the present invention addresses the above-mentioned issues with information-displaying labels in which the surface of a release sheet protecting the adhesive layer on the underside of a label substrate is divided into a non-peelable area surrounded by a sheet dividing line and a peelable area surrounding the non-peelable area. The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for peeling the release sheet from the label substrate that allows the release sheet to be peeled off smoothly and reliably, including the narrow peelable area surrounding the non-peelable area.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the information display label of the present invention is an information display label having an adhesive layer provided on the lower surface of a label base material, and this adhesive layer covered with a release sheet, and a non-peel area surrounded by a sheet dividing line dividing the release sheet and a peel area around the non-peel area are provided within the surface of the release sheet, and when the release sheet is peeled from the label base material, the adhesive layer is exposed around the non-peel area.
The release sheet is characterized in that it has a configuration in which a sheet dividing line is provided within the release area of the release sheet, the line extending in a direction that divides the width of the release area without intersecting the peripheral edge of the release sheet.

The information display label having the above-described configuration is used as a means for clearly indicating information about an article by printing predetermined information on the upper surface of the label base material, peeling off the release sheet on the lower surface of the label base material to expose the adhesive layer, and attaching the label base material to the surface of the article.
In the information display label of the present invention, as in the prior art, the surface of the release sheet is divided into a non-peelable area surrounded by a sheet dividing line and a peelable area around the non-peelable area, and the width of the peelable area is narrower around the non-peelable area. In the prior art, when the release sheet is peeled off, if a force is applied in a direction that twists the narrow portion of the peelable area, the narrow portion may be torn off.
In contrast, the information display label of the present invention has a sheet dividing line in the narrow portion of the release area of the release sheet, which does not intersect with the peripheral edge of the release sheet and extends in the direction dividing the width of the release area. When the release sheet is pulled by its edge to peel it off the adhesive layer and lifted up from the label base, the portions on both sides of the sheet dividing line in the narrow portion of the release area separate along the sheet dividing line and peel separately in the pulling direction. In other words, the portions on both sides of the sheet dividing line in the narrow portion of the release area do not peel off simultaneously as a unit, but rather separate along the sheet dividing line and peel independently from each other.
Therefore, even if a force is applied in a direction that twists the narrow portion of the release area when peeling the release sheet, the magnitude and direction of this force are distributed to the portions that are peeled off by independent actions on both sides of the sheet dividing line, and the two portions peel off with staggered peel timing, thereby mitigating the concentration of force applied in the twisting direction and allowing the narrow portion of the release area to be peeled off without tearing. Because the sheet dividing line provided in the narrow portion of the release area does not intersect with the peripheral edge of the release sheet, it is possible to smoothly peel off the entire release area of the release sheet in a single peeling operation. The releasability of the release sheet can be improved without weakening the peel strength of the release sheet.

The information display label can be configured such that a non-peeling area that is approximately square in plan view and surrounded by sheet dividing lines is provided within the surface of the peel-off sheet, and the sheet dividing lines provided in the surrounding peel-off areas are arranged in an approximately U-shape in plan view along the three peripheral sides of the non-peeling area.
Alternatively, a non-peeling area having an approximately square shape in plan view and surrounded by sheet dividing lines may be provided within the surface of the peel-off sheet, and the sheet dividing lines provided in the surrounding peel-off areas may be positioned so as to extend from at least one of the four corners of the non-peeling area to the vicinity of the peripheral edge of the peel-off sheet.
The term "approximately rectangular in plan view" includes a rectangular shape in which at least one of the four corners is curved in plan view, a rectangular shape in which all corners are curved, and a rectangular shape in which all corners are right angles. Shapes close to ellipses are also included in the term "approximately U-shaped in plan view." Furthermore, the term "approximately C-shaped in plan view" includes a U-shaped shape in which one or both of two adjacent corners are curved in plan view and a U-shaped shape in which both corners are right angles.
The sheet dividing lines provided in the peeling region surrounding the non-peeling region may be two or more.

The label substrate of the information display label having the above configuration may be formed from an intermediate sheet having an adhesive layer on the underside thereof and a front sheet that is releasably adhered to the upper surface of the intermediate sheet.

When the label base material has a two-layer structure in which a top sheet is overlapped on an intermediate sheet, a sheet dividing line dividing the intermediate sheet may be provided in the plane of the intermediate sheet at a position corresponding to the position of the sheet dividing line that surrounds the non-release area of the release sheet that overlaps the intermediate sheet with the adhesive layer sandwiched between them.

An information display label having such a configuration can be applied to, for example, a shipping slip for a package.
For example, a printing area for information necessary for package delivery processing, such as information about the recipient and sender, a slip number, a barcode or two-dimensional code, is provided on the top surface of the information display label, and a printing area for information about package details is provided in the non-peelable area of the release sheet on the bottom surface of the information display label, and information is printed in both printing areas using an inkjet printer or the like to create a delivery slip. Information may be printed using an inkjet printer or laser printer that supports double-sided printing.
The release sheet of this delivery slip is peeled off from the label substrate, leaving the non-peeling area and exposing the adhesive layer, and the package with the delivery slip attached is then prepared for delivery. The delivery slip attached to the package has the intermediate sheet of the label substrate attached to the surface of the package via the adhesive layer, and the front sheet with delivery information printed on it attached to the upper surface of this intermediate sheet via a pseudo-adhesive layer. Since detailed information about the package to be delivered is printed in the non-peeling area on the underside of the release sheet, there is no need to place a detailed sheet for the package in advance inside the box in which the package is packed.
When the package is delivered to the destination, the recipient peels the outer sheet from the intermediate sheet to expose the intermediate sheet. Then, by peeling back the portion of the exposed intermediate sheet surrounded by the sheet dividing line, the non-peelable area of the release sheet, which is adhered to the underside of the intermediate sheet at that portion via the adhesive layer, is peeled back, and this portion is cut off along the sheet dividing line provided on the intermediate sheet. By viewing the package details printed in the non-peelable area on the underside of the release sheet, the recipient can check the package details without opening the box in which the package is packed.

The label forming sheet of the present invention is characterized in that a plurality of information display labels having the above-described configuration are arranged side by side on a single release sheet, for example, A4 size, and a sheet dividing line is formed between adjacent information display labels, allowing each information display label to be separated from the others.

As mentioned above, when applying information display labels to delivery slips, a printing area for information necessary for package delivery processing, such as recipient and sender information, delivery slip number, barcode or two-dimensional code, is provided on the top surface of each information display label on the label formation sheet. By printing the information in the printing area of each information display label using an inkjet printer, laser printer or the like, multiple delivery slips can be formed on the label formation sheet.

In an information display label having the above configuration, the pseudo-adhesive layer provided between the intermediate sheet and the front sheet of the label substrate can be formed, for example, by forming a varnish layer on the underside of the front sheet and an adhesive layer on the top side of the intermediate sheet, or conversely, by forming an adhesive layer on the underside of the front sheet and a varnish layer on the top side of the intermediate sheet. Alternatively, the pseudo-adhesive layer can be formed by using a peelable adhesive such as a pressure-sensitive adhesive, heat-sensitive adhesive, or re-moisturized adhesive, applying it to an appropriate thickness using a known printing or coating method such as a flexographic method or gravure method, and then laminating the two sheets while the adhesive is still wet using a wet method, thermocompression bonding, or pressure-sensitive method.

In addition, in the above configuration, the sheet separation line can be formed by a slit or perforation, which is a cut made to separate the sheet. A slit is preferable because it allows for a clean separation and is easy to operate. The slit may be continuous across the entire sheet, or may have uncut portions arranged intermittently along the slit line as appropriate.

Below, an embodiment in which the information display label of the present invention is applied to a delivery slip for home delivery parcels will be described with reference to the drawings.

1 to 4 show delivery slips to which the present invention is applied.
In this form of delivery slip 1, an adhesive layer 6 is provided on the underside of the label base material 2, and this adhesive layer 6 is covered with a release sheet 7, and a non-peeling area 71 surrounded by a sheet dividing line 8 that divides the release sheet 7 and a peeling area 72 around it are provided on the surface of the release sheet 7, and when the release sheet 7 is peeled off from the label base material 2, the peeling area 72 is removed leaving the non-peeling area 71 behind, and the adhesive layer 6 is exposed around the non-peeling area 71.

Specifically, the label substrate 2 has a two-layer structure consisting of a top sheet 3 and an intermediate sheet 4. The top sheet 3 is bonded to the upper surface of the intermediate sheet 4 via a pseudo-adhesive layer 5, and an adhesive layer 6 is provided on the underside of this intermediate sheet 4.

As shown in Fig. 1, a print area 31 for information necessary for package delivery processing, such as the recipient's address, sender's information, and shipping slip number, is provided on the upper surface of the front sheet 3. Also, as shown in Fig. 2, a sheet dividing line 8 for dividing the intermediate sheet 4 is provided in the plane of the intermediate sheet 4 at a position corresponding to the position of the sheet dividing line 8 that surrounds the non-release area 71 of the release sheet 7 that overlaps the intermediate sheet 4 with the adhesive layer 6 sandwiched therebetween.
As will be described later, the sheet separation lines 8 in the intermediate sheet 4 are formed simultaneously with the sheet separation lines 8 in the release sheet 7 .

In addition, one corner of the overlapping top sheet 3 and intermediate sheet 4 is cut out as a notch 32, 41, allowing the edge of the release sheet 7 to be easily grasped at the cutouts 32, 41 when peeling the release sheet 7 from the label base material 2. The other corner 33 of the top sheet 3, outlined in a black triangle, is a peel-off opening where the adhesive of the pseudo-adhesive layer 5 is not provided. In other words, while the back surface of the top sheet 3 is varnished, the surface of the overlapping intermediate sheet 4 is not adhesive. By grasping this corner 33 and pulling the top sheet 3, the top sheet 3 can be easily peeled off from the top surface of the intermediate sheet 4.

As shown in Figure 3, the release sheet 7 has a sheet dividing line 8 in the center of its surface that divides the release sheet 7 and is roughly horizontally rectangular in shape when viewed from above, dividing the release sheet 7 into a non-peeling area 71 within the sheet dividing line 8 and a peeling area 72 around it, and sheet dividing lines 9 are provided within this peeling area 72 along the three sides around the non-peeling area 71 that divide the release sheet 7.
3, the sheet dividing line 9 does not intersect with the peripheral edge of the release sheet 7, but extends within the plane of the release region 72 in a direction that divides the width between the left edge of the release sheet 7 and the left edge of the non-release region 71 and the width between the upper and lower sides of the release sheet 7 and the width between the upper and lower sides of the non-release region 71, respectively, and is formed in an arrangement that presents a generally U-shaped shape in plan view along the left and upper and lower sides outside the non-release region 71. The corners of the sheet dividing lines 8 and 9 are gently curved.
As will be described later, the non-peeling area 71 on the lower surface of the peel-off sheet 7 is an area where detailed information about the package to be delivered is printed.

A delivery slip 1 having this configuration can be formed, for example, by overlapping a label substrate 2 with a front sheet 3 pseudo-adhered to the upper surface of an intermediate sheet 4 and a release sheet 7 together with an adhesive layer 6 sandwiched between them, and then providing the sheet dividing line 8 from the underside of the release sheet 7 to a depth that reaches the boundary between the upper surface of the intermediate sheet 4 and the pseudo-adhesive layer 5, and the sheet dividing line 9 to a depth that reaches the boundary between the release sheet 7 and the adhesive layer 6.

This delivery slip 1 is suitable for use in a form that is attached to the exterior of a package after packaging and used for delivery, as described below.

First, information necessary for the delivery process of the package, such as recipient and sender information, the delivery slip number, a barcode, or a two-dimensional code, is printed in the information printing area 31 on the top surface of the front sheet 3 of the delivery slip 1. Information regarding package details is also printed in the non-peeling area 71 of the peel-off sheet 7 on the bottom surface using an inkjet printer that supports double-sided printing.

The delivery slip 1, on which the information necessary for package delivery is printed, is attached to the exterior of the package to be delivered by pinching the edge of the release sheet 7 and peeling it up from the label substrate 2, as shown in Figure 5.
In this case, as described above, the surface of the release sheet 7 is divided into a non-peel area 71 surrounded by a sheet dividing line 8 and a peel area 72 surrounding it, and the peel area 72 surrounding the non-peel area 71 is narrow, but this narrow part has a sheet dividing line 9 that extends in the direction that divides the width of the peel area 72.Therefore, when the end of the release sheet 7 is pulled and peeled up from the label base material 2, the parts on both sides of the sheet dividing line 8 in the narrow part of the peel area 72 separate along the sheet dividing line 8, and each peels off independently of each other along the pulling direction. Therefore, even if a force is applied in a direction that twists the narrow portion of the peeling area 72 when peeling off the release sheet 7, the magnitude and direction of this force are dispersed to the portion that is peeled off by independent actions on both sides of the sheet dividing line 8, thereby mitigating the concentration of the force applied in the twisting direction, and it is possible to smoothly peel off the entire peeling area 72 of the release sheet 7 in a single peeling operation without tearing the narrow portion of the peeling area 72 along the way.

By peeling off the release sheet 7, the release area 72 around the non-peel area 71 is peeled off from the label substrate 2, exposing the adhesive layer 6 around the non-peel area 71. The delivery slip 1 is then affixed to the exterior of the package 10 as shown in Figure 6, and the package 10 is then delivered based on the delivery information printed in the information printing area 31 on the front sheet 3. During the shipping procedure for the package 10, detailed information for the package 10 is printed in the non-peel area 71 on the underside of the release sheet 7, so there is no need to place a package detail slip inside the box in which the package is packed.

Once the package 10 has been delivered to the destination, the recipient of the package 10 peels the front sheet 3 from the intermediate sheet 4, as shown in Fig. 7. This exposes the intermediate sheet 4, as shown in Fig. 8.
Then, by peeling up the exposed portion of the intermediate sheet 4 surrounded by the sheet dividing line 8, as shown in Figure 9, the non-peeling area 71 of the release sheet 7, which is adhered to the underside of the intermediate sheet 4 at that portion via the adhesive layer 6, is peeled up, and this portion is cut along the sheet dividing line 8, making it possible to see the package details printed in the non-peeling area 71. There is no need to open the packaged box to check the details of the package 10.

Figure 10 shows another embodiment of a delivery slip to which the present invention is applied. Similar to the above embodiment, this delivery slip 1 has a non-peeling area 71 surrounded by a sheet dividing line 8 on the surface of the release sheet 7, and is surrounded by a peeling area 72. Within the peeling area 72, a sheet dividing line 9 is provided that does not intersect with the peripheral edge of the release sheet 7 but extends in a direction that divides the width of the peeling area 72, and this sheet dividing line 9 is positioned so that it extends from one of the four corners of the non-peeling area 71 to near the peripheral edge of the release sheet 7.
Even if the sheet dividing lines 9 are laid out in this manner within the peeling area 72, as in the above-described embodiment, the entire peeling area 72 surrounding the non-peeling area 71 can be smoothly peeled off in one operation to peel off the release sheet 7 without tearing the narrow portion of the peeling area 72 midway when peeling off the release sheet 7.

11 and 12 show an embodiment of the label forming sheet S constituting the information display label of the present invention.
This is a product in which two delivery slips 1 of the type shown in Figures 1 to 4 are placed side by side, one above the other, on an A4-sized peel-off sheet 7, and a sheet dividing line 11 is provided along the space between the two slips so that the upper and lower delivery slips 1, 1 can be separated from each other.

The information display label of the present invention can be used for various labels other than delivery slips and forms for other purposes.
The illustrated information display label and label forming sheet are examples of embodiments of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to these, and can be configured in an appropriate form depending on the form of the form or label to be used.

Claims (6)

An information display label having an adhesive layer provided on the lower surface of a label substrate and this adhesive layer covered with a release sheet, wherein a non-peelable area surrounded by a sheet dividing line dividing the release sheet and a peelable area surrounding the non-peelable area are provided within the surface of the release sheet, and when the release sheet is peeled from the label substrate, the adhesive layer is exposed around the non-peelable area.
An information display label characterized in that it has a configuration in which a sheet dividing line is provided within the peelable area of the peelable sheet, which line does not intersect with the peripheral edge of the peelable sheet but extends in a direction dividing the width of the peelable area, and which is arranged in an approximately U-shape in a planar view along the three peripheral sides of the non -peeling area. An information display label having an adhesive layer provided on the lower surface of a label substrate and this adhesive layer covered with a release sheet, wherein a non-peelable area surrounded by a sheet dividing line dividing the release sheet and a peelable area surrounding the non-peelable area are provided within the surface of the release sheet, and when the release sheet is peeled from the label substrate, the adhesive layer is exposed around the non-peelable area.
An information display label characterized in that it has a configuration in which a sheet dividing line is provided within the peelable area of the peelable sheet, extending in a direction that divides the width of the peelable area without intersecting the peripheral edge of the peelable sheet, and is positioned so that the sheet dividing line extends from at least one of the four corners of the non-peeling area to near the peripheral edge of the peelable sheet. The information display label according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the label substrate comprises an intermediate sheet having an adhesive layer on its underside and a front sheet that is peelably and pseudo-adhered to the front side of the intermediate sheet. The information display label according to claim 3, characterized in that a sheet dividing line that divides the intermediate sheet is provided within the plane of the intermediate sheet at a position corresponding to the position of the sheet dividing line that surrounds the non-peeling area of the peel -off sheet that overlaps it. A label forming sheet in which a plurality of information display labels according to any one of claims 1 to 4 are laid out side by side within a single release sheet, and a sheet dividing line is formed along the space between adjacent information display labels so that the information display labels can be separated from one another. A delivery slip having a printing area for information required for package delivery processing provided on the upper surface of each information display label of the label forming sheet according to claim 5 .
