Description

The present invention relates to a technology for repairing existing roofs using repair roofing materials that are installed by covering existing thin roofing materials that are layered in a stepped pattern toward the eaves and ridge, without removing them. In particular, when the existing roof includes valleys, the invention relates to a valley cover that is easy to install and can more reliably prevent rainwater from entering the valleys, as well as a repair structure and installation method for existing roofs that use the valley cover.

Roofs on homes and other buildings are often constructed with rectangular thin roofing materials stacked in a stepped pattern toward the eaves. In this case, "stacked" means that the lower end of the roofing material placed on the upper side of the roof slope (the ridge side) is placed on top of the upper end of the roofing material placed on the lower side of the roof slope (the eaves side). To replace a roof covered in this way, the existing roofing material (synonymous with slate tiles or decorative slate) is removed in its entirety and replaced with new roofing material. However, this is time-consuming and makes it difficult to replace the existing roofing material while the building is still in use. For this reason, roofs are replaced by attaching renovation roofing material (which means the same as repair or renovation and will not be distinguished below) to the surface of the existing roofing material to cover it (this type of replacement method is also known as a covering method).

Roofs that can be renovated using these types of renovation roofing materials may have a structure in which two gabled roofs are connected with their ridges perpendicular to each other. Such roofs are sloped so that their height from the ground gradually decreases from the ridge side to the eaves side, with the connected roofs having different slope directions and linear valleys formed at the boundaries between the roofs. JP 2020-200615 A (Patent Document 1) discloses a repair structure that uses a covering method to renovate existing flat slate roofs that include such valleys.

The repair structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 is a flat slate roof repair structure in which a roof that slopes so that its height gradually decreases from the ridge side to the eaves side is joined to another roof with a different slope direction to form a single roof, and a linear valley is formed at the boundary between the joined roofs. In this roof, multiple flat slate tiles are laid sequentially from the eaves side to the ridge side with portions of the ends of each slate tile overlapping with each other, and the eaves side end of the ridge-side slate tile is overlapped on the ridge side end of the eaves-side slate tile. The repair structure for this flat slate roof is a repair structure in which a repair plate that is overlapped and fixed on top of the slate tiles and covers the slate tiles intersects with the direction in which the valley extends. and a rectangular valley plate that straddles each of the repair plates and covers the valley ends of the repair plates facing each other on both sides in the opposite direction, and is placed over and along the valley portions. The valley plate has a rectangular fold at its eaves side end that is folded back toward the ridge on the underside to enclose the slate tiles and the eaves side end of the repair plate, and a rectangular extension at the ridge side end that is extended so that it can be inserted into and fixed in the gap between the eaves side end of the stacked ridge-side slate tiles and the ridge side end of the eaves-side slate tiles. The corners facing the tip of the fold or extension of the valley plate are equipped with engagement pieces that engage with the slate tiles or the end of the repair plate.

Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2020-200615

However, in the repair structure disclosed in Patent Document 1, because a repair plate (roofing material for repair) is installed underneath the valley plate (valley cover for repair), it is difficult to completely eliminate the possibility of rainwater infiltrating through this gap (it is difficult to achieve good workability). Furthermore, the valley plate (valley cover for repair) used in the repair structure disclosed in Patent Document 1 is formed by cutting and bending a thin metal plate, and the complexity of the structure cannot be denied as a result of the possibility that manufacturing costs will increase.

The present invention was developed in consideration of the above-mentioned problems with the prior art, and its purpose is to provide a valley cover, a structure and construction method for repairing an existing roof using a valley cover, which allows for repairing a roof, including the valley portion, without removing (dismounting) the existing valley boards or existing roofing materials, while achieving good workability and avoiding increased costs.

The (renovation) valley cover 100 of the present invention is a valley cover used when renovating an existing roof, including a valley section 1C where existing thin-plate-shaped roofing materials 1001 (decorative slates) are stacked in a stepped pattern toward the eaves ridge and connected at inclinations in different directions, and the existing roofing materials 1001 on the connected roof surfaces are located a predetermined distance apart, and the existing valley boards 101 are installed at the connection points. The valley cover is used when renovating an existing roof with a renovation roofing material 1000 that has an integrally formed ridge-side insertion portion, a covering portion, and an eaves-side folded portion. Note that the renovation structure and construction method of the present invention include the renovation roofing material 1000, and examples of this renovation roofing material 1000 include the renovation roofing materials disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 2021-017709 and 2021-119278 filed by the present applicant. The renovation roofing material 1000 is the renovation roofing material 100 described in these publications (hereinafter sometimes referred to as the two publications mentioned above), in which the ridge side insertion portion is the ridge side insertion portion 130, the covering portion is the decorative surface portion 110, and the eaves side fold portion is the eaves side fold portion 120, all of which are formed as a single unit.

Figure 1 shows an example of a flat slate roof with existing thin roofing material 1001 laid on it, which will be renovated using this valley cover 100. This roof 1 has a structure in which two gabled roofs are connected with their ridges 1A perpendicular to each other. The roofs 1 are sloped so that their height from the ground gradually decreases from the ridge 1A side to the eaves 1B side, and the slope directions of the connected roofs are different from each other. A linear valley 1C is formed at the boundary between the roofs.

Multiple existing flat roofing materials 1001 are laid on the roof 1. Each existing roofing material 1001 is laid sequentially from the eaves 1B side toward the ridge 1A side, with portions of the ends of each existing roofing material 1001 flush and overlapping. As a result, the eaves-side end of the existing roofing material 1001 on the ridge 1A side is overlapped on top of the ridge-side end of the existing roofing material 1001 on the eaves 1B side. As is well known, the ridge 1A and valley 1C of the roof 1 are weather-sealed. Note that Figure 1 shows the exterior wall 2 of the house with a dashed line. The existing roofing material 1001 is, for example, a roofing material installed on the roof 1's base (the base materials, such as sheathing boards 1002 and underlayment 1003 shown in Figures 6 and 7).

Using the valley cover 100 of this embodiment, an existing roof including the valley portion 1C of the roof 1 shown in FIG. 1 can be renovated without removing either the existing valley board 101 or the existing roofing material 1001. The valley cover 100 is then installed to cover the existing valley board 101, as shown in FIG. 2. After the valley cover 100 is installed, the existing roofing material 1001 is then covered with the renovation roofing material 1000. The renovation is completed as shown in FIG. 3, achieving excellent workability and avoiding increased costs. After renovating the existing roof including the valley portion 1C using the valley cover 100 and the renovation roofing material 1000, the valley-side end of the covering portion (the decorative surface portion 110 in the above-mentioned two publications) of the renovation roofing material 1000 overlaps the top cover piece 110 of the valley cover 100 in the eaves-ridge direction, as shown in FIG. 6(A). Additionally, as shown in Figure 6(B), the valley side end of the repair roofing material 1000 can be folded downward to form a folded portion 1000C.

Note that application of the present invention is not limited to the roof 1 shown in Figure 1. Furthermore, Figures 1 to 16, which are referred to in explaining this embodiment, do not illustrate all components related to the roof construction structure. Furthermore, even if they are illustrated, those that are less relevant to the present invention are not given reference numbers or are not described. Furthermore, in Figures 1 to 16, which are referred to in explaining this embodiment, in order to facilitate understanding of the present invention, some components are depicted schematically, hidden lines are not drawn, parts that should be drawn with hidden lines are drawn with solid lines, and details are omitted, resulting in discrepancies between figures. Furthermore, the same components (structures) in different figures are given the same reference numbers, and their descriptions will not be repeated. Here, the ridge side and the eaves side are synonymous with each other, and no distinction is made in describing this invention.

As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the valley cover 100 of this embodiment includes a pair of upper cover pieces 110 that can be inserted between existing roofing materials 1001 whose ridge-side ends (the portion corresponding to length L (7A) shown in Figure 7) are stacked in a stepped pattern in the eaves-ridge direction; a pair of end cover pieces 120 that are connected downward from the opposing edges 112 of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 and cover the valley-side end faces of the existing roofing materials 1001; and a valley board cover piece 130 that extends between the lower edges 122 of the pair of end cover pieces 120 and follows the surface of the existing valley board 101, with the upper cover pieces 110, end cover pieces 120, and valley board cover piece 130 being integrally formed.

In this valley cover 100, the valley board cover piece 130 gradually increases the height L of the end cover piece 120 from the ridge side (above water side) to the eaves side (below water side) so that it fits along the surface of the existing valley board 101. Specifically, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, the height L (D) of the end cover piece 120 on the below water side is greater than the height L (U) of the end cover piece 120 on the above water side (L (U) < L (D)), and the height L of the end cover piece 120 gradually increases (increases) from the above water side (height L (U)) to the below water side (height L (D)).

By gradually increasing the height L of the end cover pieces 120 in this way, the ridge-side end of the valley cover 100, which corresponds to the length L (7A) shown in Figure 7 (more specifically, the ridge-side end of the top cover piece 110, which corresponds to length L (7A)), can be inserted between the existing roofing materials 1001. Furthermore, the valley covers 100 can be stacked in a stepped pattern in the eaves-ridge direction (with the ridge side facing upward) as shown in Figure 5 (B), and the valley cover pieces 130 can be installed to cover the existing valley boards 101 so that they fit along the surface of the existing valley boards 101. More specifically, as shown in Figure 7 (A), the length L (U) of the abovewater end cover piece 120 of one valley cover 100 corresponds to two existing roof boards 1001, and the length L (D) of the belowwater end cover piece 120 corresponds to three existing roof boards 1001. The height L of the end cover piece 120 gradually increases from the abovewater side (height L(U)) to the belowwater side (height L(D)). Because the height L of the end cover piece 120 is set in this way, the valley board 101 is installed to abut against the base material (sheathing board 1002, underlayment material 1003, etc.) of the valley portion 1C as shown in Figures 7(B) and 7(C). The ridge-side end of the top cover piece 110, corresponding to length L(7A), can be inserted between the existing roofing materials 1001 as shown in Figure 7(A). The valley board cover piece 130 can then be installed to cover the existing valley board 101 with the valley cover 100 so that it fits along the surface of the existing valley board 101 (abutting against it without leaving any gaps).

<Renovated structure>
Next, a description will be given of a repair structure for an existing roof (using the valley cover 100 and the repair roof material 1000) according to the present invention.
The existing roof renovation structure of the present invention is an existing roof renovation structure in which two or more roof surfaces, each made of thin, existing roofing materials 1001 (decorative slates) stacked in a stepped pattern toward the eaves ridge, are connected at an angle in different directions, and the existing roof materials 1001 on the connected roof surfaces are located a predetermined distance apart, and the connected points include a valley portion 1C where existing valley boards 101 have been installed.
As shown in Figures 2 to 7, this renovation structure includes a renovation roofing material 1000 in which a ridge side insertion portion (ridge side insertion portion 130 in the above-mentioned two publications), a covering portion (decorative surface portion 110 in the above-mentioned two publications), and an eaves side fold portion (eaves side fold portion 120 in the above-mentioned two publications) are integrally formed, and a valley cover 100 in which a pair of upper surface cover pieces 110, a pair of end surface cover pieces 120, and a valley board cover piece 130 are integrally formed.

Regarding the valley cover 100, the ridge-side ends (portions corresponding to the length L (7A) shown in FIG. 7) of the pair of upper surface cover pieces 110 are inserted between the existing roof materials 1001 stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction of each roof surface, and the remaining portions of the pair of upper surface cover pieces 110 (portions on the eaves side from the ridge-side ends) are placed on the upper surface of the valley side of the existing roof material 1001 on the eaves side. A pair of end surface cover pieces 120 connected downward from the opposing end edges 112 of the pair of upper surface cover pieces 110 cover the valley-side end faces of the existing roof material 1001, and the valley cover 100 is attached to the existing valley board 1001 so that the valley board cover pieces 130 extending between the lower end edges 122 of the pair of end surface cover pieces 120 are aligned along the surface of the existing valley board 101.
1 and is provided (constructed) on the existing roof material 1001.

The repair roofing material 1000 is provided (installed) by inserting the ridge-side insertion portion (ridge-side insertion portion 130 in the above-mentioned two publications) between the existing roofing materials 1001 so that the valley-side end of the covering portion (decorative surface portion 110 in the above-mentioned two publications) overlaps the upper cover piece 110. At this time, as described above with reference to Figure 6(B), the repair roofing material 1000 may be installed with a folded portion 1000C in which the valley-side end is folded downward.
Here, the valley cover 100 used in this repair structure is provided for each existing roof material 1001 that is stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction, and the valley cover 100 is stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction.

The valley cover 100 at the eaves edge can also be installed by folding the eaves-side end downward to cover the eaves-side end face of the existing valley board 101. Specifically, as shown in Figure 8, the valley cover 100 installed at the eaves edge is installed by processing the eaves-side end to fit the existing valley board 101. More specifically, a cut is made at the position shown by the dotted line in Figure 8(A), and then folded downward approximately 90 degrees at the position shown by the dashed-dotted line in Figure 8(A). Furthermore, it may be folded over onto the back side at the position shown by the dashed-dotted line in Figure 8(B). Bending the eaves-side end in this way makes alignment easier. It is also possible to cut it into a mountain shape without folding it.

<Construction method>
Next, we will explain the construction method (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as the construction method) for realizing the renovation structure of an existing roof (using the valley cover 100 and the renovation roof material 1000) of the present invention.
The construction method of the present invention is a construction method for renovating an existing roof, which includes two or more roof surfaces made of existing thin-plate-shaped roofing materials 1001 (decorative slates) stacked in a stepped pattern toward the eaves-ridge direction and connected at an incline in different directions, with the existing roofing materials 1001 of the connected roof surfaces positioned a predetermined distance apart and including a valley portion 1C where existing valley boards 101 have been installed at the connection points, using a renovation roofing material 1000 in which a ridge side insertion portion (ridge side insertion portion 130 in the above-mentioned two publications), a covering portion (decorative surface portion 110 in the above-mentioned two publications), and an eaves side fold portion (eaves side fold portion 120 in the above-mentioned two publications) are integrally formed, and a valley cover 100 in which a pair of top cover pieces 110, a pair of end cover pieces 120, and a valley board cover piece 130 are integrally formed.
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 12 (particularly FIGS. 8 to 12), this construction method mainly includes the following two steps.

- Valley section repair step: For each existing roof material 1001 that is stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction, the valley cover installation step, in which valley covers 100 are stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction, is repeated from the eaves side to the ridge side, and the valley covers 100 are placed over the existing valley boards 101 along the entire length in the eaves-ridge direction in the valley section 1C.
- Roof surface renovation step After the valley renovation step, for each existing roof material 1001 that is stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction, the renovation roof materials 1000 are stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction so that the renovation roof material 1000 adjacent to the valley is overlapped on top of the upper cover piece 110 of the valley cover 100.This renovation roof material installation step is repeated from the ridge side to the eaves side, and the renovation roof material 1000 is covered over the existing roof material 1001 over the entire length of the roof surface in the eaves-ridge direction.

Here, the valley cover installation step included in the valley repair step involves inserting the ridge-side ends of each pair of upper cover pieces 110 (the portions corresponding to length L (7A) shown in Figure 7) between the existing roofing materials 1001 stacked in a stepped pattern in the eaves-ridge direction of each roof surface, and placing the remaining portions of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 (the portions toward the eaves from the ridge-side ends) on the upper surface of the valley side of the existing roofing material 1001 on the eaves side. The valley covers 100 are then installed on the existing valley boards 101 and existing roofing materials 1001 so that a pair of end cover pieces 120 connected downward from the opposing edges 112 of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 cover the valley-side end surfaces of the existing roofing material 1001, and the valley board cover pieces 130 spanning between the lower edges 122 of the pair of end cover pieces 120 fit along the surface of the existing valley board 101.

In addition, the step of installing the renovating roofing material included in the roof surface renovation step involves installing the renovating roofing material 1000 by inserting the ridge side insertion portion (ridge side insertion portion 130 in the two publications mentioned above) between the existing roofing materials 1001 so that the valley side end of the covering portion (decorative surface portion 110 in the two publications mentioned above) overlaps the upper cover piece 110.
Here, the valley cover installation step is preferably performed by cutting a portion of the eaves-side edge of the valley cover 100 and then installing the valley cover 100. As shown in Figure 9(A), depending on the installation condition of the existing roofing material 1001, the positions of the eaves-side edges of the existing roofing material 1001 facing each other across the valley portion 1C may be misaligned vertically. In such cases, the cut is made along the dashed line shown in Figure 8(B) or the hatched portion shown in Figure 8(C).

Furthermore, it is also preferable for the renovation roofing material installation step to cut the renovation roofing material 1000 closest to the valley portion 1C diagonally so that the valley side end of the covering portion of the valley cover 100 (the decorative surface portion 110 in the two publications mentioned above) overlaps the top cover piece 110, and then install the renovation roofing material 1000, for the following reasons: As shown in Figure 11, the renovation roofing material 1000 has a rectangular shape when viewed from above when manufactured, but this rectangular shape does not allow the valley side end of the covering portion of the renovation roofing material 1000 (the decorative surface portion 110 in the two publications mentioned above) to be installed so that it overlaps the top cover piece 110 of the valley cover 100 (in fact, a rectangular shape does not allow the valley portion 1C to be installed with the renovation roofing material 1000 closest to the valley cover 100). For this reason, as shown in Figure 11, the repair roofing material 1000 is cut diagonally and installed except for the hatched portion, and the repair roofing material 1000 is installed so that the valley side end of the covering portion of the valley cover 100 (the decorative surface portion 110 in the two publications mentioned above) overlaps the upper cover piece 110.

Below, the construction method will be explained in detail, broadly divided into the valley repair step and the roof surface repair step, with reference to Figures 2 to 12 (particularly Figures 8 to 12). Note that although the construction method explained below may be described in detail, the present invention is not limited to the construction method explained below.

- Valley repair step As described above, the valley covers 100 are installed by repeating the valley cover installation step of stacking the valley covers 100 in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction for each existing roof material 1001 that is stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction, from the eaves side to the ridge side.
(1) As shown in Figures 8(A) and 8(B), the eaves side edge of the first tier valley cover 100 is cut to match the eaves tip shape of the eaves tip of the existing valley board 101, and bent downward approximately 90 degrees to form a bent portion.
(2) As shown in Figure 8 (C), adhesive S is applied to the existing valley board 101 in three rows parallel to the eaves-ridge direction so as to correspond to the exposed length of approximately one valley cover 100.
(3) The ridge side ends (the parts corresponding to the length L (7A) shown in Figure 7) of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 of the first tier valley cover 100 are inserted between the existing roof materials 1001 stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction of each roof surface (between the first and second tiers), and the remaining parts of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 (the parts toward the eaves from the ridge side ends) are placed on the upper surface of the valley side of the existing roof material 1001 (first tier) on the eaves side, covering the eaves tip edge of the existing valley board 101 with the eaves side end (folded part) of the first tier valley cover 100.

(4) Press down on the first valley cover 100 from above to firmly adhere it.
(5) Install the second and subsequent valley covers 100 sequentially from the eaves side to the ridge side. While it is not necessary to cut the valley covers 100, if the heights of the eave-side edges of the existing roofing materials 1001 on either side of the valley 1C are different in the flow direction (toward the eaves-ridge), the eave-side end of the valley covers 100 may be cut as described with reference to Figure 9.
(6) As shown in Figure 10, apply adhesive S to the existing valley board 101 in three parallel rows in the eaves-ridge direction so as to correspond to the exposed length of approximately one second-tier valley cover 100. Furthermore, apply adhesive S to the top surface of the first-tier valley cover 100 on the eaves side in the approximately horizontal direction in one row.

(7) The ridge-side end portions (portions corresponding to the length L (7A) shown in FIG. 7) of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 of the second-stage valley cover 100 are inserted between the existing roof materials 1001 (between the second and third stages) stacked in a stepped manner in the eaves-ridge direction of each roof surface, and the remaining portions (portions closer to the eaves than the ridge-side end portions) of the pair of upper cover pieces 110 are inserted between the existing roof materials 1001 (
The second tier of existing roofing material 1001 is placed on the top surface of the valley side of the second tier of existing roofing material 1001, and the eaves side edge of the second tier of valley cover 100 is approximately aligned with the eaves side edge of the second tier of valley cover 100. The eaves side of the second tier of valley cover 100 is then overlapped on the ridge side top surface of the first tier of valley cover 100 (the area where a line of adhesive S is applied). Here, as an example, it is preferable that the overlap be 50 mm or more.
(8) Press the second valley cover 100 from above to firmly adhere it.
(9) As shown in Figure 10, apply adhesive S to the existing valley board 101 in three parallel rows in the eaves-ridge direction, corresponding to the exposed length of approximately one third-tier valley cover 100. Furthermore, apply adhesive S in one row in a roughly horizontal direction to the top surface of the ridge side of the second-tier valley cover 100 on the first-tier eaves side.

(10) The ridge-side ends (portions corresponding to length L (7A) shown in Figure 7) of the pair of top cover pieces 110 of the third-tier valley cover 100 are inserted between the existing roofing materials 1001 stacked in a stepped pattern in the eaves-ridge direction of each roof surface (between the third and fourth tiers), and the remaining portions of the pair of top cover pieces 110 (portions extending from the ridge-side ends toward the eaves) are placed on the valley-side upper surface of the existing roofing material 1001 (third tier) on the eaves side, so that the eaves-side edge of the third-tier existing roofing material 1001 and the eaves-side edge of the third-tier valley cover 100 are approximately aligned. Furthermore, the eaves side of the third-tier valley cover 100 is overlapped on the ridge-side upper surface of the second-tier valley cover 100 (the portion where a single line of adhesive S is applied). Again, this is just an example, but it is preferable for the overlap to be 50 mm or more.

(11) Press the third valley cover 100 from above to firmly adhere it.
(12) Install the valley covers 100 in the same manner from the fourth tier to the top Nth tier.
(13) By repeatedly installing the valley cover 100 from the eaves side to the ridge side, as shown in Figure 11, the valley cover 100 is placed over the existing valley board 101 along the entire length of the valley section 1C in the eaves-ridge direction, completing the installation of the valley repair step.

Roof Surface Renovation Step After the valley renovation step (after completing the valley renovation step by covering the existing valley boards 101 along the entire length of the valley 1C in the eaves-ridge direction with the valley cover 100), the renovation roofing material 1000 is installed by inserting the ridge-side insertion portion (ridge-side insertion portion 130 in the above-mentioned publication) between the existing roofing materials 1001 so that the valley-side end of the covering portion (decorative surface portion 110 in the above-mentioned publication) of the renovation roofing material 1000 overlaps the top cover piece 110. This installation method shown in Figure 11 is the same as the installation method disclosed in the above-mentioned publication. As an installation method not disclosed in the above-mentioned publication, the renovation roofing material 1000 closest to the valley 1C is cut diagonally as shown in Figure 11, and the renovation roofing material 1000 is installed so that the valley-side end of the covering portion (decorative surface portion 110 in the above-mentioned publication) of the valley cover 100 overlaps the top cover piece 110. Furthermore, the adhesive S (S1) on the most valley side is applied parallel to and near the valley cover 100. By repeatedly applying the repair roofing material 1000 sequentially from the ridge side to the eaves side, the repair roofing material 1000 will be applied to one roof surface across the valley 1C, as shown in Figure 12. Similarly, by repeatedly applying the repair roofing material 1000 sequentially from the ridge side to the eaves side on the other roof surface, the repair roofing material 1000 will be applied to both roof surfaces across the valley 1C, as shown in Figure 3. This completes the installation method for realizing a repair structure for an existing roof (using the valley cover 100 and the repair roofing material 1000) according to the present invention.

As described above, the valley cover according to this embodiment, and the existing roof renovation structure and construction method using the valley cover, allow roofs, including valley sections, to be renovated without removing (dismounting) the installed existing valley boards or existing roofing materials, while achieving good workability and avoiding increased costs.

<Rainproof cover>
As described above, when renovating an existing roof, in addition to valleys, repairs may also be required at the joints between the wall and the roof. Below, with reference to Figures 13 to 16, a detailed description will be given of a flashing cover 200 and its installation method related to an existing roof renovation structure according to an embodiment of the present invention. The flashing covers 200 are broadly divided into a flow-direction flashing cover 200 shown in Figure 13 and a girder-direction flashing cover 200 shown in Figure 14. The installation methods are broadly divided into the installation of the flashing covers 200 and the installation of the renovation roofing materials 1000. The installation methods include a method in which, as shown in Figure 15, all flashing covers 200 are installed before installing the renovation roofing materials 1000, and then the renovation roofing materials 1000 are installed. Alternatively, as shown in Figure 16, the renovation roofing materials 1000 are partially installed before installing the flashing covers 200, and then all flashing covers 200 are installed in the middle state, and then the remaining renovation roofing materials 1000 are installed.
In addition, the tip of this flashing cover 200 is more than 10 mm longer than the pressing piece of the existing flashing cover so that it can abut against the surface of the roof material 1000 to be repaired.

<How to install the rain flashing cover>
First, a method for installing the flashing cover 200 will be described in detail below.
(1) Apply a line of adhesive to the back surface of the flashing cover 200 on the wall side along substantially the entire length in the longitudinal direction.
(2) Insert the wall side end of the flashing cover 200 into the gap between the existing exterior wall material and the existing flashing 201, and press down on the flashing cover 200 from above to firmly adhere it.
(3) In the case of the flow direction shown in Fig. 13, the eaves side end of the ridge-side flashing cover 200 is installed so that it overlaps with the ridge side end of the eaves side flashing cover 200. Here, as an example, it is preferable that the overlap be 50 mm or more.
(4) In the case of the girder direction shown in Figure 14, the ends of the flashing covers 200 located on the left and right sides are installed so that they overlap each other. Again, this is just an example, but it is preferable that the overlap be 50 mm or more.
(5) Fix the rain flashing cover 200 to the existing eaves edge with nails (or screws).
(6) Carry out the work in the same manner.
Next, a detailed description will be given of the method for applying the roofing material for repair 1000. The method for applying the roofing material for repair 1000 is the same as the method disclosed in the above-mentioned two publications.

(A) Flow direction: First pattern (Fig. 15)
After all the flashing covers 200 have been installed, the roofing material for renovation 1000 is installed from the ridge side toward the eaves side.
The wall side end of the roof material 1000 to be repaired is inserted between the existing flashing 201 and the existing roof material 1001.
Second pattern (Fig. 16)
The roofing materials for repair 1000 are installed in multiple stages from the ridge side. Here, "multiple stages" refers to a number of stages that will not step on the roofing materials for repair 1000 when installing the flashing covers 200. After installing the roofing materials for repair 1000 in multiple stages from the ridge side (while the roofing materials for repair 1000 are being installed), all of the flashing covers 200 are installed.

- The remaining roofing material for repair 1000 is installed from the ridge side toward the eaves side.
When joining the rain flashing cover 200, insert the ridge side edge of the eave side rain flashing cover 200 under the eaves side edge of the ridge side rain flashing cover 200 to perform the installation.
The wall side end of the roof material 1000 to be repaired is inserted between the existing flashing 201 and the existing roof material 1001.

(B) In the case of the girder direction: After all of the roofing materials 1000 for renovation along the wall have been installed, the rain gutter cover 200 is installed.
The wall side (ridge side) end of the roof material 1000 to be repaired is inserted between the existing flashing 201 and the existing roof material 1001.
After all the rain gutter covers 200 in the girder direction have been installed, the remaining roofing materials 1000 for renovation are installed from the ridge side toward the eaves side.
