Description
The present invention relates to a retrofit roof structure used at the joint between a roof and a wall.
When repairing the joint between a roof and a wall, wall retaining covers are typically constructed by covering the top edge of the roof material and the bottom edge of the wall material with a metal plate shaped in an approximately L-shape (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
Patent Document 1 relates to a structure for repairing the water-surface portion of an existing roof. Patent Document 2 relates to a waterproofing structure for the eaves. However, this cannot be used in cases where a large step is formed between the bottom edge of the existing dry exterior material and the water-surface edge of the new roof material.
In order to solve these drawbacks, the present invention provides a repair roof structure between a roof and a wall , characterized in that in the structure between the existing dry exterior material and the new roof material, a long covering material is formed from a vertical, flat cover decorative piece, a bottom piece with the upper end of the cover decorative piece bent toward the outdoors, a sealing receiving piece with the tip of the bottom piece bent upward, and a lower cover piece with the lower end of the cover decorative piece bent toward the indoors, so as to cover the lower end of the existing dry exterior material, and a repair wall clamp is formed so as to cover the side end of the new roof material of the existing dry exterior material, thereby covering the boundary between the existing dry exterior material and the new roof material .
The roof-to-wall repair structure of the present invention has the following features and effects: (1) Construction is possible even when a large step is formed between the bottom edge of the existing dry exterior material and the waterline edge of the new roof material.
