Description

The present disclosure relates to a connection structure for an exterior corner member.

Patent Document 1 discloses a construction structure for a protruding corner using a protruding corner member. In this construction structure, an upper protruding corner member is connected to a lower protruding corner member. Each protruding corner member is composed of a decorative member and a pair of fixing members. The decorative members are positioned below the pair of fixing members. The upper and lower protruding corner members are connected by inserting a guide piece of the fixing member of the lower protruding corner member into an engagement space formed in the upper decorative member.

In the construction structure described above, the guide piece of the lower corner member needs to be inserted into the narrow engagement space of the upper decorative member, which makes it difficult to connect the upper and lower corner members.

The present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, and has an object to provide a connection structure for projected corner members that can easily connect projected corner members to each other.

The connection structure of the protruding corner members according to one aspect of the present invention comprises two protruding corner members adjacent in the vertical direction, each of which has a fixed portion fixed to the protruding corner portion of the wall base and a decorative portion connected to the fixed portion and covering the protruding corner side ends of the two adjacent wall materials at the protruding corner portion of the building. The decorative portion has a front surface portion and a back surface portion. One of the two protruding corner members further has an insertion portion that protrudes from the decorative portion toward the other protruding corner member and is disposed between the front surface portion and the back surface portion of the other protruding corner member. The width of the insertion portion is smaller toward the tip side.

The protruding corner member according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a fixing part that is fixed to the protruding corner portion of the wall base, and a decorative part that is connected to the fixing part and covers the ends of the protruding corner side of two adjacent wall materials at the protruding corner portion of the building. The decorative part has a front part, a back part, an insertion part, and a receiving part. The insertion part is formed at one end in the vertical direction of the decorative part, protrudes in the vertical direction from one of the front part and the back part, and has a smaller width toward the tip side. The receiving part is formed by the front part and the back part at the other end in the vertical direction of the decorative part, and another insertion part of the same shape as the insertion part can be inserted.

The connection structure and the corner member of the above embodiment of the corner member can easily connect the corner members together.

FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a portion of a connection structure of an exterior corner member according to an embodiment of the present invention, which corresponds to X1-X1 in FIG. FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a connection portion between the above-mentioned corner members. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a state in which the above-mentioned projected corner member is connected to another projected corner member. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the portion of the connecting structure of the above-mentioned corner member, which corresponds to the portion taken along the line X4-X4 of FIG.

The connection structure of the corner member and the corner member of the embodiment are described below.

(1) Embodiment Figures 1 and 2 show a connection structure 1 for a corner member 2 of this embodiment. The connection structure 1 of this embodiment also serves as a corner structure that constitutes a corner portion of an exterior wall. A building to which the connection structure 1 is applied is, for example, a house constructed using a wooden framework construction method, a wooden frame construction method, or a steel frame construction method. In the following, the embodiment will be described with the outdoor side being the outside and the indoor side being the inside.

The connection structure 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a wall base 5, a plurality of protruding corner members 2, and a plurality of wall materials 6. The wall base 5 is a base for the plurality of wall materials 6. The plurality of protruding corner members 2 and the plurality of wall materials 6 are attached to the wall base 5. The plurality of wall materials 6 include two wall materials 61, 62 that are adjacent to each other at the protruding corner portion. Hereinafter, one of the two wall materials 61, 62 will be referred to as the first wall material 61, and the other will be referred to as the second wall material 62.

In the following, the elements on the one wall material 61 side and the elements on the other wall material 62 side will be described with the outdoor side as the outside and the indoor side as the inside, and the horizontal direction perpendicular to the indoor-outdoor direction as the width direction. Furthermore, the elements on the one wall material 61 side will be described with the other wall material 62 side, which is the other side in the width direction, as the corner side, and the elements on the other wall material 62 side will be described with the one wall material 61 side, which is one side in the width direction, as the corner side.

The wall base 5 has a number of columns 50, a number of base boards 53, and a number of furring strips 54. The number of columns 50 includes a column 500 which is a corner column. The column 500 has two outer surfaces (surfaces facing the outside) 501, 502 adjacent to each other at a right angle.

Each of the multiple base plates 53 is, for example, a single piece or pieces of plywood. The multiple base plates 53 are attached to the multiple columns 50 by fasteners such as nails or screws. The multiple base plates 53 include two base plates 531, 532 attached to the column 500. The two base plates 531, 532 are arranged along the two outer surfaces 501, 502 of the column 500, respectively.

A number of furring strips 54 are attached to the multiple base boards 53. Each furring strip 54 is a vertical furring strip that extends vertically along the outer surface of the base board 53. Each furring strip 54 is attached to the base board 53 by fasteners such as nails or screws. A moisture-permeable waterproof sheet may be attached to the outer surface of each base board 53. In this case, each furring strip 54 is attached to the base board 53 via the moisture-permeable waterproof sheet.

The multiple furring strips 54 include two furring strips 541, 542 provided at the protruding corners of the wall base 5. Of the two furring strips 541, 542, one furring strip 541 is attached to the end of the protruding corner side (the other base board 532 side) on the outer surface of one base board 531, and the other furring strip 542 is attached to the end of the protruding corner side (the one base board 531 side) on the outer surface of the other base board 532.

The wall base 5 has two adjacent outer surfaces 51, 52 at the protruding corner. The two outer surfaces 51, 52 are perpendicular to each other. The two outer surfaces 51, 52 are respectively composed of the outer surfaces of the two furring strips 541, 542. Note that each outer surface 51, 52 of the wall base 5 is not limited to being composed of the outer surfaces of the furring strips 541, 542. For example, each outer surface 51, 52 of the wall base 5 may be the outer surface of the base board 531, 532. In addition, the angle formed by the two outer surfaces 51, 52 of the wall base 5 is not limited to a right angle, but may be an obtuse angle or an acute angle. In other words, the angle formed by the two wall materials 61, 62 at the protruding corner is not limited to a right angle, but may be an obtuse angle or an acute angle. In addition, the wall base 5 may be an existing exterior wall. In this case, each wall material 6 is used as a wall material for remodeling, and each wall material 6 and the protruding corner member 2 are attached to the existing exterior wall.

A number of protruding corner members 2 are attached to the wall base 5 as external wall corner accessories. The multiple protruding corner members 2 are arranged adjacent to each other in the vertical direction as shown in FIG. 2. Each protruding corner member 2 is a long member that extends in the vertical direction along the two outer surfaces 51, 52 of the wall base 5 shown in FIG. 1. The vertical length of each protruding corner member 2 is, for example, 3030 mm. However, the vertical length of each protruding corner member 2 is not limited.

Each corner member 2 is a continuous single member and is composed of only one member. In this embodiment, each corner member 2 is made of sheet metal and is formed by bending a single metal plate. Note that each corner member 2 may be formed by combining multiple members.

Of the multiple protruding corner members 2, the other protruding corner members 2, except for the protruding corner member 2 located at the bottom, have a main body 3 and a protruding portion 4 protruding downward from the main body 3, as shown in FIG. 3. Vertically adjacent protruding corner members 2 are connected by inserting the protruding portion 4 of the upper protruding corner member 2 into the main body 3 of the lower protruding corner member 2. Note that, of the multiple protruding corner members 2, the protruding corner member 2 located at the bottom may be composed of only the main body 3 without the protruding portion 4, or may have a protruding portion 4 in addition to the main body 3 like the other protruding corner members 2.

The horizontal cross-sectional shape of the main body 3 (the shape of a cross section perpendicular to the vertical direction) is uniform over the entire vertical length of the main body 3. As shown in FIG. 4, the main body 3 has a fixed part 30 fixed to the wall base 5 and a decorative part 31 protruding outward from the fixed part 30.

The fixing portion 30 has two fixing pieces 301, 302 arranged along the two outer surfaces 501, 502 (the outer surfaces of the two furring strips 541, 542) of the wall base 5. Each fixing piece 301, 302 is formed in a flat plate shape and is aligned with the outer surface of the corresponding furring strip 541, 542. However, the two fixing pieces 301, 302 are not continuous and are separated from each other.

The two fixing pieces 301, 302 are attached to the furring strips 541, 542, respectively. Each fixing piece 301, 302 is attached to the corresponding furring strip 54 by fasteners such as nails or screws. Hereinafter, one of the two fixing pieces 301, 302 will be referred to as the one fixing piece 301, and the other will be referred to as the other fixing piece 302. The width direction of the one fixing piece 301 is parallel to the thickness direction of the other fixing piece 302.

The end of each of the fixed pieces 301, 302 opposite the protruding corner is a free end. However, on the outer surface side of the end of each of the fixed pieces 301, 302 opposite the protruding corner, a folded portion 303, 304 is formed by folding back the plate-shaped portion constituting the fixed pieces 301, 302. The folded portions 303, 304 are formed, for example, by hemming, which bends the plate-shaped portion constituting the fixed pieces 301, 302 at an acute angle and then crushes and bends it, and the inner surface of the folded portions 303, 304 contacts the outer surface of the portion of the fixed pieces 301, 302 other than the folded portions 303, 304.

The decorative portion 31 is formed integrally with the fixed portion 30. The decorative portion 31 has a pair of decorative pieces 311, 312. One of the pair of decorative pieces 311, 312 protrudes outward from the end of the protruding corner of the first fixed piece 301, and the other protrudes outward from the end of the protruding corner of the second fixed piece 302. Hereinafter, one of the pair of decorative pieces 311, 312 will be referred to as the first decorative piece 311, and the other will be referred to as the second decorative piece 312.

Each decorative piece 311, 312 has an L-shaped horizontal cross section and is composed of a double plate-like portion formed by folding back a metal sheet. One decorative piece 311 is continuous with one fixed piece 301. The other decorative piece 312 is continuous with the other fixed piece 302 and is also continuous with one decorative piece 311.

Each decorative piece 311, 312 has an end face covering portion 313, 315 and a surface covering portion 314, 316. The end face covering portion 313 of the one decorative piece 311 protrudes from the end of the one fixed piece 301 on the corner side toward the outer surface side of the one fixed piece 301. The end face covering portion 313 of the one decorative piece 311 is formed in a flat plate shape parallel to the other fixed piece 302. The surface covering portion 314 of the one decorative piece 311 protrudes from the end opposite to the end connected to the one fixed piece 301 in the end face covering portion 313 toward the opposite side to the corner (the back side of the end face covering portion 313). The surface covering portion 314 of the one decorative piece 311 and the one fixed piece 301 protrude in the same direction from the end face covering portion 313. The surface covering portion 314 of the one decorative piece 311 is formed in a flat plate shape parallel to the one fixed piece 301. The end of the surface covering portion 314 of the one decorative piece 311 opposite the end connected to the end covering portion 313 is a free end. The width of the end covering portion 313 of the one decorative piece 311 is smaller than the width of the one fixed piece 301. The width of the surface covering portion 314 of the one decorative piece 311 is smaller than the width of the end covering portion 313 of the one decorative piece 311. The width of the surface covering portion 314 may be larger than the width of the end covering portion 313, or may be the same as the width of the end covering portion 313.

The end face covering portion 315 of the other decorative piece 312 protrudes from the end of the other fixed piece 302 on the outer surface side of the other fixed piece 302 on the protruding corner side. The end face covering portion 315 of the other decorative piece 312 is formed in a flat plate shape parallel to the one fixed piece 301. The surface covering portion 316 of the other decorative piece 312 protrudes from the end opposite to the end connected to the other fixed piece 302 in the end face covering portion 315 to the opposite side of the protruding corner (the back side of the end face covering portions 313, 315). The surface covering portion 316 of the other decorative piece 312 and the other fixed piece 302 protrude in the same direction from the end face covering portion 315. The surface covering portion 316 of the other decorative piece 312 is formed in a flat plate shape parallel to the other fixed piece 302. The end opposite to the end connected to the end face covering portion 315 in the surface covering portion 316 of the other decorative piece 312 is a free end. The width of the end surface covering portion 315 of the other decorative piece 312 is smaller than the width of the other fixed piece 302. The width of the surface covering portion 316 of the other decorative piece 312 is smaller than the width of the end surface covering portion 315 of the other decorative piece 312. The width of the surface covering portion 316 may be larger than the width of the end surface covering portion 315 or may be the same as the width of the end surface covering portion 315.

The end surface covering portion 313, 315 of each decorative piece 311, 312 has a surface portion 313A, 315A constituted by the front plate-like portion of the double plate-like portion, and a back surface portion 313B, 315B constituted by the back plate-like portion. The surface covering portion 314, 316 of each decorative piece 311, 312 has a surface portion 314A, 316A constituted by the front plate-like portion of the double plate-like portion, and a back surface portion 314B, 316B constituted by the back plate-like portion.

As shown in FIG. 3, the protruding portion 4 protrudes downward from the fixed portion 30 and the decorative portion 31 toward where the adjacent corner member 2 is located. The protruding portion 4 is formed integrally with the main body portion 3. The protruding portion 4 has a pair of insertion portions 41, 42 protruding downward from the fixed portion 30, and a pair of insertion portions 43, 44 protruding downward from the decorative portion 31. Hereinafter, the insertion portions 41, 42 protruding from the fixed portion 30 are referred to as the fixed portion side insertion portions 41, 42, and the insertion portions 43, 44 protruding from the decorative portion 31 are referred to as the decorative portion side insertion portions 43, 44.

The pair of fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42 correspond one-to-one to the pair of fixed pieces 301, 302. Each fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 protrudes downward from the corresponding fixed piece 301, 302. Each fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 is continuous with the corresponding fixed piece 301, 302, and the boundary between the fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 and the corresponding fixed piece 301, 302 does not appear on the outside. Each fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 is formed in a flat plate shape parallel to the corresponding fixed piece 301, 302. Each fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 extends from the end on the protruding corner side of the corresponding fixed piece 301, 302 to a point slightly further toward the protruding corner than the end opposite the protruding corner. Each fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 is formed in a single plate shape without overlapping parts.

The pair of decorative part side insertion parts 43, 44 correspond one-to-one to the pair of decorative pieces 311, 312. Each decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 protrudes downward from the back surface 313B, 315B of the end surface covering part 313, 315 of the corresponding decorative piece 311, 312. Each decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 is continuous with the back surface 313B, 315B of the corresponding end surface covering part 313, 315, and the boundary between the back surface 313B, 315B and the decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 does not appear on the outside. Each decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 is formed in a flat plate shape parallel to the end surface covering part 313, 315 of the corresponding decorative piece 311, 312. Each decorative part side insertion portion 43, 44 spans the entire width of the end surface covering portion 313, 315 of the corresponding decorative piece 311, 312. More specifically, the base end of each decorative part side insertion portion 43, 44 (the portion connected to each end surface covering portion 313, 315, the upper end in FIG. 3) is formed to be the same width as or slightly shorter than each end surface covering portion 313, 315.

Each decorative part side insertion portion 43, 44 is connected to the adjacent fixed part side insertion portion 41, 42 and is continuous with the corresponding fixed part side insertion portion 41, 42. The thickness of each decorative part side insertion portion 43, 44 is the same as the thickness of the back surface portion 313B, 315B of the end surface covering portion 313, 315 of the corresponding decorative piece 311, 312, and is smaller than the thickness of the end surface covering portion 313, 315 of the corresponding decorative piece 311, 312 (thickness of the double plate-shaped portion).

The end face of each of the fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42 opposite the corner is inclined in the vertical direction so that the part closer to the bottom end is located closer to the corner. As a result, the width of each of the fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42 becomes smaller toward the lower side (tip side) of the fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42. In addition, the lower end of the end face opposite the corner of each of the fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42 is curved in an arc shape so that the lower side is located closer to the corner, and is continuous with the lower end face of the fixed part side insertion part 41, 42. Note that the lower end of the end face opposite the corner of the fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 does not have to be curved. In addition, each of the fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42 does not have to be connected to the corresponding decorative part side insertion part 43, 44. In this case, if the width of the fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42 becomes smaller toward the bottom, the end face on the corner side (the corresponding decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 side) may be inclined so that the part closer to the bottom end is located on the opposite side to the corner, or the end faces on both sides in the width direction may be inclined relative to the up-down direction.

As shown in FIG. 1, each of the fixing part side inserts 41, 42 is located on the back side (inner side) of the upper end of the fixing pieces 301, 302 of the adjacent corner member 2 below, and is disposed between this upper end and the outer surface of the opposing furring strips 541, 542. As a result, each of the fixing part side inserts 41, 42 is restricted from moving toward the indoor side or the outdoor side by the corresponding fixing part 30 and furring strips 541, 542 of the adjacent corner member 2 below.

As shown in Figure 3, the outer end face of each cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44 (the opposite end connected to the other cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44) is an inclined surface that is inclined in the vertical direction so that the portion closer to the bottom end is positioned more inward. As a result, the width of each cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44 becomes smaller toward the lower side (tip side) of the cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44. The lower end of the outer end face of the cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44 is an arc-shaped curved surface that is curved more inward toward the lower side, and is continuous with the lower end face of the cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44. Note that the lower end of the outer end face of the cosmetic part side insertion part 43, 44 does not have to be a curved surface. In addition, if the cosmetic part side insertion parts 43, 44 are not connected to the corresponding fixed part side insertion parts 41, 42, and the width of the cosmetic part side insertion parts 43, 44 decreases toward the bottom, the inner end face (the corresponding fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 side) may be inclined so that the part closer to the bottom is positioned outward, or both end faces in the width direction may be inclined relative to the up-down direction.

As shown in FIG. 1, each decorative part insertion part 43, 44 is located between the surface part 313A, 315A and the back part 313B, 315B at the upper end of the corresponding end face covering part 313, 315 of the adjacent corner member 2 below. As a result, each decorative part insertion part 43, 44 is restricted from moving to the front side and the back side by the corresponding decorative piece 311, 312 of the adjacent corner member 2 below. In other words, the lower protruding corner member 2 of the vertically adjacent protruding corner members 2 is formed by the surface part 313A, 315A and the back part 313B, 315B at the upper end of the decorative part 31, and has a receiving part 317, 318 into which another decorative part insertion part (the decorative part insertion part 43, 44 of the upper protruding corner member 2) of the same shape as the decorative part insertion part 43, 44 can be inserted.

As shown in FIG. 2, the lower end surface of the end opposite the corner of each of the fixed pieces 301, 302 of the upper corner member 2 is abutted against the upper end surface of the end opposite the corner of the corresponding fixed pieces 301, 302 of the lower corner member 2. In addition, the lower end surfaces of the surface covering parts 314, 316 of each decorative piece 311, 312 and the lower end surfaces of the surface parts 313A, 315A of the end surface covering parts 313, 315 of the upper corner member 2 are abutted against the upper end surfaces of the surface covering parts 314, 316 of the corresponding decorative pieces 311, 312 of the lower corner member 2 and the upper end surfaces of the surface parts 313A, 315A of the end surface covering parts 313, 315 of the lower corner member 2.

Each of the multiple wall materials 6 shown in FIG. 1 is, for example, a ceramic panel, a wooden panel, an ALC (Autoclaved Lightweight Aerated Concrete) panel, or a metal siding. Each wall material 6 is formed in a rectangular plate shape.

One wall material 61, which is one of the multiple wall materials 6, is attached to the wall base 5 with its end on the protruding corner side fitted into a recess that opens on the side opposite the protruding corner, which is formed by one fixed piece 301 and one decorative piece 311 of the protruding corner member 2.

The wall material 61 is attached to the wall base 5 by being fixed to a number of furring strips 54 with fasteners such as nails or screws. The back surface (inner surface) of the wall material 61 is aligned along the outer surface of one fixed piece 301 of the corner member 2. The end surface on the corner side of the wall material 61 is aligned along the back surface of the end surface covering portion 313 of one decorative piece 311 of the corner member 2. The end portion on the corner side of the front surface (outer surface) of the wall material 61 is aligned along the back surface (inner surface) of the front surface covering portion 314 of the decorative piece 311 of the corner member 2.

The other wall material 62, which is one of the multiple wall materials 6, is attached to the wall base 5 with its end on the protruding corner side fitted into a recess that opens on the side opposite the protruding corner formed by the other fixing piece 302 and the other decorative piece 312 of the protruding corner member 2.

The other wall material 62 is attached to the wall base 5 by being fixed to a plurality of furring strips 54 with fasteners such as nails or screws. The back surface (inner surface) of the other wall material 62 is aligned along the outer surface of the other fixed piece 302 of the corner member 2. The end surface on the corner side of the other wall material 62 is aligned along the back surface of the end surface covering portion 315 of the other decorative piece 312 of the corner member 2. The end portion on the corner side of the surface (outer surface) of the other wall material 62 is aligned along the back surface (inner surface) of the surface covering portion 316 of the other decorative piece 312 of the corner member 2.

The first wall material 61 and the second wall material 62 are attached to the wall base 5 after, for example, a plurality of corner members 2 are attached to the wall base 5 in a vertically aligned state.

For example, the multiple protruding corner members 2 are attached to the wall base 5 in order starting from the protruding corner member 2 located at the bottom. In this case, the protruding corner member 2 located at the lowest level among the multiple protruding corner members 2 is attached to the wall base 5 first. Next, the other protruding corner members 2 are attached to the wall base 5 above this protruding corner member 2. At this time, the protruding part 4 protruding downward from the main body part 3 is inserted into the upper end part of the lower protruding corner member 2 that was previously attached to the wall base 5, thereby connecting the upper protruding corner member 2 to the lower protruding corner member 2. In this case, the fixing part side insertion parts 41, 42 of the upper protruding corner member 2 are inserted from above between the corresponding fixing pieces 301, 302 of the lower protruding corner member 2 and the corresponding furring strip 54. Additionally, each decorative insert portion 43, 44 of the upper corner member 2 is inserted from above into the corresponding receiving portion 317, 318 of the lower corner member 2 (between the front surface portion 313A, 315A and the back surface portion 313B, 315B of the end surface covering portion 313, 315).

As described above, the width of each of the fixing part side insertion parts 41, 42 is smaller toward the bottom (see FIG. 3). Therefore, each of the fixing part side insertion parts 41, 42 can be easily inserted between the corresponding fixing pieces 301, 302 of the lower corner member 2 and the corresponding furring strip 54. Also, the width of each of the decorative part side insertion parts 43, 44 is smaller toward the bottom (see FIG. 3). Therefore, each of the decorative part side insertion parts 43, 44 can be easily inserted between the front surface parts 313A, 315A and the back surface parts 313B, 315B of the corresponding end surface covering parts 313, 315 of the lower corner member 2. Therefore, the worker can easily connect the corner member 2 to another corner member 2, and the corner member 2 can be easily installed.

The lower end of the end face of the fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 opposite the projected corner is an arc-shaped curved surface that continues to the lower end face of the fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 (see Figure 3). This makes it easier for the fixed part side insertion part 41, 42 to be inserted between the fixed pieces 301, 302 of the lower projected corner member 2 and the furring strips 541, 542.

For example, suppose that the decorative portion side insertion portions 43, 44 protrude from the front surface portions 313A, 315A, rather than the back surface portions 313B, 315B, of the end surface covering portions 313, 315. In this case, rainwater flowing along the surface of the front surface portions 313A, 315A may flow along the surface of the decorative portion side insertion portions 43, 44 and into the gap between the front surface portions 313A, 315A and the back surface portions 313B, 315B of the corresponding end surface covering portions 313, 315 of the lower corner member 2. However, in this embodiment, since the decorative portion side insertion portions 43, 44 protrude from the back surface portions 313B, 315B of the end surface covering portions 313, 315, rainwater is less likely to enter between the front surface portions 313A, 315A and the back surface portions 313B, 315B.

In addition, the fact that the decorative part side insertion portions 43, 44 protrude from the back surfaces 313B, 315B of the end surface covering portions 313, 315 has the following advantages. That is, when manufacturing the corner member 2 from a single metal plate as in this embodiment, the decorative part side insertion portions 43, 44 and the fixed part side insertion portions 41, 42 can be formed simply by bending the plate-like portions that make up the decorative part side insertion portions 43, 44 and the fixed part side insertion portions 41, 42. Therefore, the corner member 2 can be easily manufactured.

In this embodiment, each of the fixing part side inserts 41, 42 is disposed between the corresponding fixing pieces 301, 302 of the lower corner member 2 and the corresponding furring strip 54, but if the fixing part side inserts 41, 42 are not connected to the corresponding decorative part side inserts 43, 44, they may be disposed on the surface side of the corresponding fixing pieces 301, 302 of the lower corner member 2. In this case, each of the fixing part side inserts 41, 42 is inserted from above, for example, between the folded parts 303, 304 of the corresponding fixing pieces 301, 302 of the lower corner member 2 and the end surface covering parts 313, 315 continuous with the fixing pieces 301, 302.

The lower end of the outer end face of the decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 is curved in an arc shape that is curved inward as it goes downward (see Figure 3). This makes it easier for the decorative part side insertion part 43, 44 to be inserted between the front surface part 313A, 315A and the back surface part 313B, 315B of the end face covering part 313, 315 of the lower corner member 2.

The decorative part side insertion parts 43, 44 may protrude downward from the surface parts 313A, 315A of the corresponding end surface covering parts 313, 315. The protruding part 4 in this embodiment is formed at the lower end of the protruding corner member 2, but may be formed at the upper end of the protruding corner member 2. In this case, the protruding part 4 protruding upward from the main body part 3 of the lower protruding corner member 2 is inserted into the lower end of the upper protruding corner member 2, so that the protruding part 4 is connected to the lower end of the upper protruding corner member 2. The protruding corner member 2 may not have the fixing part side insertion parts 41, 42. In addition, the shape, size, position, number, material, etc. of each element in the connection structure 1 of the protruding corner member 2 in the above embodiment can be changed as appropriate.

(2) Aspects As is clear from the embodiment described above, the connection structure 1 for the projecting corner members 2 in the first aspect has the following configuration. The connection structure 1 for the projecting corner members 2 includes two projecting corner members 2 adjacent in the vertical direction. Each projecting corner member 2 has a fixing portion 30 and a decorative portion 31. The fixing portion 30 is fixed to the projecting corner portion of the wall base 5. The decorative portion 31 is connected to the fixing portion 30, and covers the projecting corner side ends of two adjacent wall materials 61, 62 at the projecting corner portion of the building. The decorative portion 31 has front surface portions 313A, 315A and back surface portions 313B, 315B. One of the two projecting corner members 2 further has insertion portions (decorative portion side insertion portions) 43, 44. The insertion portions 43, 44 protrude from the decorative portion 31 toward the other of the projected corner members 2, and are disposed between the front surface portions 313A, 315A and the back surface portions 313B, 315B of the other of the projected corner members 2. The width of the insertion portions 43, 44 decreases toward the tip end.

According to this embodiment, the insert portions 43, 44 of one of the corner members 2 can be inserted between the front surface 313A, 315A and the back surface 313B, 315B of the other corner member 2 to connect adjacent corner members 2 vertically. In this case, the insert portions 43, 44 are narrower toward the tip, so they can be easily inserted between the front surface 313A, 315A and the back surface 313B, 315B of the other corner member 2. Therefore, adjacent corner members 2 vertically can be easily connected.

The connection structure 1 of the second aspect of the corner member 2 can be realized by combining it with the first aspect. The second aspect has the configuration shown below. The fixing portion 30 of one of the corner members 2 has folded portions 303, 304 at the end of the fixing portion 30 opposite the corner. The corner member 2 of one of the corner members further has another insertion portion (fixing portion side insertion portion) 41, 42 that protrudes from the fixing portion 30 toward the other corner member 2 and is located on the back side of the fixing portion 30 of the other corner member 2. The other insertion portions 41, 42 are narrower in width toward the tip side.

According to this embodiment, by inserting the separate insertion portion 41, 42 of one of the corner members 2 into the back side of the fixed portion 30 of the other corner member 2, the adjacent corner members 2 can be more firmly connected vertically. In addition, the separate insertion portions 41, 42 are narrower toward the tip side, so they can be easily inserted into the back side of the fixed portion 30 of the other corner member 2.

The protruding corner member 2 of the third aspect has the following configuration. It comprises a fixing portion 30 and a decorative portion 31. The fixing portion 30 is fixed to the protruding corner portion of the wall base 5. The decorative portion 31 is connected to the fixing portion 30 and covers the ends of the protruding corner side of two adjacent wall materials 61, 62 at the protruding corner portion of the building. The decorative portion 31 has surface portions 313A, 315A, back portions 313B, 315B, insertion portions 43, 44, and receiving portions 317, 318. The insertion portions 43, 44 are formed at one end of the decorative portion 31 in the vertical direction and protrude in the vertical direction from one of the surface portions 313A, 315A and the back portions 313B, 315B, with the width becoming smaller toward the tip side. The receiving portions 317, 318 are formed by the front surface portion 313A, 315A and the back surface portion 313B, 315B at the other end of the decorative portion 31 in the vertical direction (the end opposite the insertion portions 43, 44), and can receive other insertion portions 43, 44 of the same shape as the insertion portions 43, 44.

According to this embodiment, the protruding corner member 2 can be connected to the other protruding corner member 2 by inserting the insertion portions 43, 44 of the protruding corner member 2 into the receiving portions 317, 318 of the other protruding corner member 2. In this case, the insertion portions 43, 44 are narrower toward the tip side, so they can be easily inserted into the receiving portions 317, 318 of the other protruding corner member 2. Therefore, the protruding corner member 2 can be easily connected to the other protruding corner member 2.
