Description

The present invention relates to furniture with a tabletop.

Furniture with a tabletop has been known in the past in which the tabletop is supported by a support having multiple legs extending in the vertical direction. Many of these types of furniture with a tabletop have the entire periphery of the tabletop set as usable edges on which the user can work (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

The support is required to be strong enough to withstand not only the vertical load transmitted from the tabletop, but also the horizontal load. Conventional supports of this type are often based on leg members that extend vertically, and it has been necessary to take relatively extensive reinforcement measures, such as providing multiple reinforcing beams or bracket members on the underside of the tabletop.

In other words, conventional furniture with a tabletop tends to have a complicated structure for stably supporting the tabletop with a support.

The present invention was made with the above in mind, and aims to provide furniture with a tabletop that has at least a suitable structure for stably supporting the tabletop.

That is, the present invention has the following configuration.

The invention described in claim 1 is a furniture with a top plate comprising a top plate and a support body arranged in the center of the top plate in the left-right and front-rear directions and capable of supporting the top plate, the support body comprising a plurality of leg frame bodies and a plurality of connecting panel bodies connecting adjacent leg frame bodies, the leg frame body comprising a leg support extending in the vertical direction and a top plate receiving frame extending from the upper end of the leg support toward the outside of the top plate and having an upper surface that can be connected to the underside of the top plate, the furniture with a top plate comprising an upper end of the connecting panel body attached to the underside of the top plate.

The invention described in claim 2 is the furniture with a tabletop described in claim 1, in which the plurality of leg frame bodies are a left front leg frame body located in the left front part, a right front leg frame body located in the right front part, a left rear leg frame body located in the left rear part, and a right rear leg frame body located in the right rear part, and the connecting panel body is disposed between any three of the following: between the left front leg frame body and the right front leg frame body, between the left front leg frame body and the left rear leg frame body, between the right front leg frame body and the right rear leg frame body, and between the left rear leg frame body and the right rear leg frame body, and an upper cross member whose upper end is attached to the underside of the tabletop and a lower cross member located below the upper cross member are disposed between the remaining one of the two.

The invention described in claim 3 is the furniture with a tabletop described in claim 2, which is provided with a decorative panel body that can close the remaining space, and this decorative panel body is detachably attached to the upper and lower cross members.

The invention described in claim 4 is a piece of furniture with a tabletop described in claims 1, 2 or 3, in which the leg support has a leg support body made of a rectangular pipe material, and a connecting plate portion protruding from the inner surface of the connecting panel body is attached to the inner surface of the leg support body.

The invention described in claim 5 is the furniture with a tabletop described in claim 4, in which a cover portion capable of covering the outer corner portion of the leg support body is formed on the side end portion of the connecting panel body.

The invention described in claim 6 is a piece of furniture with a tabletop according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, in which a wiring hole is provided through the center of the tabletop in the vertical direction.

The invention described in claim 7 is the furniture with a tabletop described in claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, in which a plant placement section is provided in the center of the tabletop on which a potted plant can be placed.

The invention described in claim 8 is a furniture with a tabletop according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7, in which a scaffolding structure is provided in the center of the tabletop, which is made up of multiple frame members extending vertically and horizontally and on which items can be hung.

The invention described in claim 9 is the furniture with a tabletop described in claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8, in which the tabletop support frame extends along the diagonal of the tabletop.

As explained above, the present invention can provide furniture with a tabletop that has at least a suitable configuration for stably supporting the tabletop.

One embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to Figures 1 to 15.

The furniture with a top plate includes a top plate A having a generally rectangular outer edge, a support body B arranged in the center of the top plate A in the left-right and front-to-back directions and capable of supporting the top plate A, a plant placement section C arranged in the center of the top plate A in the front-to-back and left-to-right directions and capable of placing a plant P holding a foliage plant p1, and a scaffold structure D consisting of a plurality of frame members erected in the center of the top plate A in the front-to-back and left-to-right directions and extending vertically and horizontally, on which various items E (for example, the item E shown in FIG. 3 is a lighting device) can be hung.

The individual components of the furniture with tabletop are described in detail below.

<<Tabletop A>>
The tabletop A has a generally square shape as a whole. A wiring hole ah is provided in the center of the tabletop A, which is generally rectangular with rounded corners and penetrates in the vertical direction. The furniture with a tabletop is designed so that wiring for power supply or information can be led from the floor surface F side to the upper side of the tabletop A through the wiring hole ah formed in the tabletop A.

The entire peripheral edge of the tabletop A is set as a usable edge where the user can work. In other words, a lower leg space is formed under the entire peripheral edge of the tabletop A, into which the user's lower legs or the seat of the chair can enter.

In this embodiment, the tabletop A is made by connecting one, i.e., the front tabletop forming member af and the other, i.e., the rear tabletop forming member ar using multiple connecting plates ap.

<<Support B>>
The support body B has four leg frame bodies, namely, a left front leg frame body 1, a right front leg frame body 2, a left rear leg frame body 3 and a right rear leg frame body 4, which are located at the left front, right front, left rear and right rear parts on the underside of the tabletop A.

The support body B has three connecting panels, the first, second and third connecting panels J1, J2 and J3, which connect adjacent leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3 and 4, i.e., between the left front leg frame body 1 and the right front leg frame body 2, between the left front leg frame body 1 and the left hind leg frame body 3, and between the right front leg frame body 2 and the right hind leg frame body 4.

The support body B is equipped with an upper cross member I that is installed between the upper part of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the upper part of the right rear leg frame body 4 and has its upper end portion, the upper flange portion 8, attached to the underside of the top plate A, a lower cross member R that is installed between the lower part of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the lower part of the right rear leg frame body 4 and is located below the upper cross member I, and a decorative panel body K that can close the space between the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4 and is detachably attached to the upper and lower cross members I and R.

<Leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3, 4>
Each of the four leg frame bodies, i.e., the left front leg frame body 1, the right front leg frame body 2, the left rear leg frame body 3, and the right rear leg frame body 4, is equipped with a leg support M extending in the vertical direction and a tabletop support frame N which extends approximately horizontally from the upper end of the leg support M outwardly along the diagonal of the tabletop A and whose upper surface can be connected to the underside of the tabletop A.

Each leg frame 1, 2, 3, 4 has approximately the same shape. Each leg frame 1, 2, 3, 4 is formed into an approximately L-shape by the leg support M and the tabletop support frame N.

The leg support M is equipped with a leg support body m1 made of a rectangular pipe material that extends in the vertical direction, and an adjuster m2 provided at the lower end of the leg support body m1.

The leg support body m1 has nut portions n1 at three locations: the top, middle, and bottom. The nut portions n1 of the leg support M are adapted to receive screws v1 inserted through screw insertion holes h1 provided in the connecting plate portions 7 of the connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3.

The tabletop support frame N extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the leg support M, i.e., horizontally. The tabletop support frame N is made of rectangular pipe material with a substantially horizontal upper surface. The base end of the tabletop support frame N is rigidly connected to the upper end of the leg support M by welding.

The tabletop support frame N is attached to the underside of the tabletop A, which is approximately aligned with the diagonal line. In this embodiment, the tabletop support frame N is tilted at 45° with respect to the longitudinal direction of the adjacent connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3 when viewed from above or from the bottom.

The tabletop support frame N has a screw insertion hole h2 that penetrates in the vertical direction, and each leg frame 1, 2, 3, 4 is attached to the tabletop A by screwing a screw v2 inserted into the screw insertion hole h2 into a nut portion (not shown) provided on the underside of the tabletop A.

<First, second and third connected panel bodies J1, J2 and J3>
The three connecting panel bodies, i.e., the first, second and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2 and J3, are made of sheet metal and have a generally rectangular plate shape as a whole. Each connecting panel body J1, J2 and J3 has generally the same shape. Each connecting panel body J1, J2 and J3 has both horizontal sides attached to the opposing inner surfaces of a pair of adjacent leg support bodies m1, and has an upper flange portion 8, which is the upper end portion, attached to the underside of the tabletop A.

Each of the connecting panels J1, J2, and J3 is made up of a panel body 5 having a generally rectangular plate shape with cutouts 51 formed at both upper corners to avoid interference with the top plate receiving frame N, cover sections 6 integrally provided at both ends of the panel body 5 to cover the outer corners m11 of the leg support body m1, a connecting plate section 7 protruding inward from the inner surface of the panel body 5 and fastened to the inner surface of the leg support body m1, and an upper flange section 8, which protrudes inward from the upper edge of the panel body 5 and serves as the upper end section attached to the underside of the top plate A.

The panel body 5 is a plate-like member that stands upright and constitutes the main part that can block the space between adjacent leg support bodies m1.

The cover portion 6 cooperates with the cover portions 6 of the adjacent connecting panel bodies J1, J2, J3, or the cover portion k2 of the decorative panel body K to cover the outer corner portion m11 of the leg support body m1 in an attractive manner.

The cover portion 6 has a first extension portion 61 that extends from both side ends of the panel body 5 at an angle of approximately 45° relative to the panel body 5, and a second extension portion 62 that extends inward from the extension end of the first extension portion 61 and is approximately perpendicular to the first extension portion 61.

The second extension portion 62 is arranged in parallel with and close to the second extension portion 62 of the adjacent connecting panel body J1, J2, J3 or the second extension portion 62 of the decorative panel body K, so that a gap sk, which is a joint, is formed between them.

The connecting plate portion 7 is a plate-like member that protrudes in a direction perpendicular to the panel body 5. The connecting plate portion 7 is provided by welding an L-shaped steel material to the panel body 5.

The connecting plate portion 7 has three screw insertion holes h1 at the top, middle, and bottom. The connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3 are attached to the leg support body m1 of each leg frame body 1, 2, 3, and 4 by screwing the screw v1 inserted into the screw insertion hole h1 of the connecting plate portion 7 into the nut portion n1 provided on the leg support body m1.

The upper flange 8 protrudes inward from the upper edge of the panel body 5. The upper flange 8 has a plurality of screw insertion holes h3 that penetrate in the vertical direction. Each connecting panel body J1, J2, J3 is attached to the top plate A by screwing a screw v3 inserted into the screw insertion hole h3 of the upper flange 8 into a nut portion (not shown) provided on the underside of the top plate A.

The first, second and third rectangular connecting panel bodies J1, J2 and J3 described above not only serve to seal the spaces between the adjacent leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3 and 4, but also work together with the leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3 and 4 to support the tabletop.

<Upper cross member I>
The upper cross member I connects the upper part of the leg support body m1 in the left rear leg frame body 3 and the upper part of the leg support body m1 in the right rear leg frame body 4, and its upper end portion, the upper flange portion i3, is fixed to the underside of the tabletop A.

The upper cross member I is composed of an upper cross member main body i1 that is a horizontally long rectangular plate in an upright position, left and right mounting plates i2 that protrude inward from the left and right side ends of the upper cross member main body i1, approximately perpendicular to the upper cross member main body i1, and are attached to the upper part of the leg support main body m1 of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the upper part of the leg support main body m1 of the right rear leg frame body 4, and an upper flange portion i3 that protrudes outward integrally from the upper end of the upper cross member main body i1 and serves as the upper end that is attached to the underside of the tabletop A.

The upper cross member body i1 is provided with catch configuration protrusions t1 that form a catch that acts as a detachment mechanism on both ends of the outer surface of its upper part. The catch configuration protrusions t1 are configured to be detachable from the catch configuration recesses t2 provided on the inner surface of the decorative panel body K.

The left and right mounting plates i2 are provided with screw insertion holes h4 that penetrate in the left-right direction. Then, by screwing the screws v4 inserted into the screw insertion holes h4 in the left and right mounting plates i2 into the nuts n4 provided on the leg support body m1, the upper cross member I is attached to the upper part of the leg support body m1 on the left rear leg frame body 3 and the upper part of the leg support body m1 on the right rear leg frame body 4.

The upper flange i3 has a number of screw insertion holes h5 that penetrate in the vertical direction. The upper cross member I is attached to the top plate A by screwing the screws v5 inserted into the screw insertion holes h5 of the upper flange i3 into nuts (not shown) provided on the underside of the top plate A.

The cross member I described above not only serves to seal the space between the adjacent left and right rear leg frame bodies 3, 4, but also works together with each of these leg frame bodies 3, 4 to support the tabletop.

<Lower cross member R>
The lower cross member R connects the lower part of the leg support body m1 of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the lower part of the leg support body m1 of the right rear leg frame body 4.

The lower cross member R is comprised of a horizontally oriented rectangular lower cross member body r1, left and right mounting plates r2 extending upward from the left and right side ends of the lower cross member body r1 and attached to the lower part of the leg support body m1 of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4, a reinforcing flange r3 erected from the inner end of the lower cross member body r1, and a pair of left and right engagement protrusions r4 protruding from both left and right ends of the outer end side of the lower cross member body r1 and inserted into engagement holes k41 formed in the lower end of the decorative panel body K.

The left and right mounting plates r2 are provided with screw insertion holes h6 that penetrate in the left-right direction. Then, by screwing the screws v6 inserted into the screw insertion holes h6 in the left and right mounting plates r2 into the nuts n6 provided on the leg support body m1, the lower cross member R is attached to the lower part of the leg support body m1 on the left rear leg frame body 3 and the lower part of the leg support body m1 on the right rear leg frame body 4.

<Decorative panel body K>
The decorative panel body K is capable of closing the gap between the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4, and is detachably attached to the upper and lower cross members I, R. The decorative panel body K is made of sheet metal and has a generally rectangular plate shape overall.

The decorative panel body K is a roughly rectangular plate-like decorative panel body k1 with cutouts k11 at both upper corners to avoid interference with the top plate receiving frame N, cover parts k2 that are integrally provided at both side ends of the decorative panel body k1 and can cover the outer corners m11 of the leg support body m1, upper flange parts k3 that protrude inward from the upper end of the decorative panel body k1 and have catch-constituting recesses t2 at both left and right ends that constitute a catch that serves as a detachment mechanism, and lower flange parts k4 that protrude inward from the lower end of the decorative panel body k1 and have engagement holes k41 that penetrate vertically at both left and right ends.

The decorative panel body k1 is a plate-like member that stands upright and constitutes the main part that can close the gap between the adjacent leg support body m1 of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the leg support body m1 of the right rear leg frame body 4. The cutout portion k11 not only prevents interference with the top board support frame N, but also functions as a finger grip when attaching and detaching the decorative panel body K.

The cover portion k2 cooperates with the cover portions 6 of the adjacent second and third connecting panel bodies J2 and J3 to attractively cover the outer corners m11 of the leg support bodies m1 of the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4.

The cover portion k2 has a first extension portion k21 that extends from the outer end of the decorative panel main body k1 at an angle of approximately 45° relative to the decorative panel main body k1, and a second extension portion k22 that extends inward from the extension end of the first extension portion k21, approximately perpendicular to the first extension portion k21.

The second extension portion k22 is arranged in parallel with and adjacent to the second extension portion 62 of the cover portion 6 in the adjacent second and third connecting panel bodies J2 and J3, and a gap sk, which is a joint, is formed between them.

<<Planting placement part C>>
The plant placement section C includes a rectangular frame body c1 that is erected on the top plate A so as to surround the peripheral portion of the wiring communication hole ah formed in the top plate A, and a The planting device has a plant placement plate c2 disposed on the inside. The planting plate c2 is adapted to place a plant P thereon.

The frame body c1 is composed of a pair of L-shaped frame components c1a and c1b. The frame body c1 has front, rear and left and right peripheral wall portions c11 erected on the top plate A, and mounting flanges c12 extending inward from the lower edge of each peripheral wall portion c11.

A power supply device G having a plug insertion hole g1 is attached to the center of the width of each peripheral wall portion c11. The wiring of the power supply device G is designed to reach the floor surface F side through the wiring communication hole ah of the top plate A.

The mounting flange c12 of the frame body c1 has a screw insertion hole h7 that penetrates in the vertical direction, and is attached to the top plate A by tightening it together with the mounting plate dp having the screw insertion hole h7a of the tower structure D with a screw v7.

The planting placement plate c2 is made up of a horizontal plate-like planting placement plate body c21 with a through hole ca formed in the center that penetrates vertically, and a hanging wall c22 that extends downward from the periphery of the planting placement plate body c21. The four corners of the planting placement plate body c21 are cut out so that the lower end of the tower structure D can be connected in the vertical direction. The lower edge of the hanging wall c22 is adapted to engage with the top of the mounting flange c12 of the frame body c1.

The plant P supported on the plant placement plate c2 is a potted plant p1 held by a block-shaped holding member p2. The potted plant p1 may be a living plant or an imitation (artificial plant). The holding member p2 in this embodiment is made of, for example, sponge or polystyrene foam, and is block-shaped so that the lower end of the artificial potted plant p1 can be inserted.

<<Tower structure D>>
The tower structure D comprises four upright frames extending in the vertical direction and having an attachment plate dp integrally formed at their lower ends for attachment to the top plate A, namely, a left front upright frame d1, a right front upright frame d2, a left rear upright frame d3, and a right rear upright frame d4, a left horizontal connecting frame d5 connecting the upper end of the left front upright frame d1 to the upper end of the left rear upright frame d3, a right horizontal connecting frame d6 connecting the upper end of the right front upright frame d2 to the upper end of the right rear upright frame d4, a front horizontal connecting frame d7 connecting the upper end of the left front upright frame d1 to the upper end of the right front upright frame d2, a rear horizontal connecting frame d8 connecting the upper end of the left rear upright frame d3 to the upper end of the right rear upright frame d4, and a diagonal horizontal connecting frame d9 connecting the upper end of the right front upright frame d2 to the upper end of the left rear upright frame d3.

The mounting plate dp provided at the lower end of each standing frame d1, d2, d3, and d4 has a screw insertion hole h7a that penetrates in the vertical direction.

The screw v7 inserted into the screw insertion hole h7a of the mounting plate dp passes through the screw insertion hole h7 provided in the frame body c1 of the plant placement section C, and is then screwed into the nut portion n7 arranged on the top plate A. In other words, the mounting plate dp of the tower structure D is fastened together with the frame body c1 of the plant placement section C to the top plate A.

Each of the standing frames d1, d2, d3, d4 and the horizontal connecting frames d5, d6, d7, d8, d9 can be used to hang items E such as wiring, decorations, and small items used in the office.

As described above, the furniture with a tabletop according to this embodiment comprises a tabletop A having a generally rectangular outer edge, and a support B arranged in the center of the tabletop A in the left-right and front-back directions and capable of supporting the tabletop A.

The support body B includes a plurality of leg frame bodies, namely a left front leg frame body 1, a right front leg frame body 2, a left rear leg frame body 3, and a right rear leg frame body 4, and a plurality of connecting panel bodies, namely a first, a second, and a third connecting panel body J1, J2, and J3, which connect adjacent leg frame bodies.

Each leg frame body 1, 2, 3, 4 is equipped with a leg support M that extends in the vertical direction, and a tabletop support frame N that extends from the upper end of the leg support M toward the outside of the tabletop A, i.e., along the diagonal of the tabletop A, and whose upper surface can be connected to the underside of the tabletop A. The upper flanges 8, which are the upper ends of the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3, are attached to the underside of the tabletop A.

For this reason, the furniture with a tabletop shown in this embodiment is likely to exhibit the rigidity required to withstand not only vertical loads on the tabletop A but also horizontal loads, and can provide a suitable configuration for stably supporting the tabletop A.

That is, adjacent leg frame bodies, i.e., the left front leg frame body 1 and the right front leg frame body 2, are connected by a first connecting panel body J1, the left front leg frame body 1 and the right rear leg frame body 4 are connected by a second connecting panel body J2, and the right front leg frame body 2 and the right rear leg frame body 4 are connected by a third connecting panel body J3, and the upper flange portion 8, which is the upper end portion of the first, second and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2 and J3, is attached to the underside of the tabletop A.

As a result, the leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3, 4 and the connecting panel bodies J1, J2, J3 work together to realize a configuration that can withstand not only the vertical load received from the tabletop A, but also the horizontal load received from the tabletop A. In other words, the rectangular connecting panels J1, J2, J3 are connected to the leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3, 4 and can hold the leg frame bodies 1, 2, 3, 4 in an upright position.

Furthermore, the tabletop support frame N of each leg frame body 1, 2, 3, 4 is extended along the diagonal of the tabletop A, and the upper surface can be connected to the underside of the tabletop A, so that not only can the underside of the tabletop A be supported in a balanced manner, but also the space for the user's lower legs is not easily obstructed.

Between the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4, where the first, second and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2 and J3 are not interposed, there is an upper cross member I, the upper end of which is the upper flange portion i3, attached to the underside of the top plate A, and a lower cross member R, which is located below the upper cross member I.

As a result, the support body B can effectively support the underside of the tabletop A by utilizing not only the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3, but also the upper cross member I, and can effectively connect the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4 by the upper and lower cross members I and R.

It is equipped with a decorative panel body K that can close the gap between the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4, where the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3 are not interposed.

The decorative panel body K is detachably attached to the upper and lower cross members I and R interposed between the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4.

As a result, the upper and lower cross members I and R maintain the connection strength between the left rear leg frame body 3 and the right rear leg frame body 4, while the cooperation of the first, second and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, J3 and the decorative panel body K makes it possible to give the support body B a desirable overall appearance that looks like a rectangular column.

Moreover, because the decorative panel body K can be attached and detached freely to the upper and lower cross members I and R, the enclosed space sp that is surrounded on all four sides by the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3, and the decorative panel body K, can be freely opened and closed by attaching and detaching the decorative panel body K. This makes the furniture with a tabletop extremely easy to assemble and maintain after assembly.

The leg support M has a leg support body m1 made of a rectangular pipe material, and a connecting plate portion 7 protruding from the inner surface of the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3 is attached to the inner surface of the leg support body m1.

As a result, the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3 can be appropriately attached to the specified leg support body m1 without compromising the appearance of the connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3.

A cover portion 6 capable of covering the outer corner portion m11 of the leg support body m1 is formed on each of the horizontal side ends of the first, second, and third connecting panel bodies J1, J2, and J3.

This allows the outer corner m11 of the leg support body m1 to be less likely to be exposed, giving it a desirable appearance.

A wiring hole ah is provided in the center of the top plate A, penetrating vertically.

This allows the wiring on the floor surface F side to be conveniently guided to the upper surface side of the tabletop A through the wiring communication holes ah formed in the tabletop A.

A plant placement section C is provided in the center of the top plate A, where a plant P holding a foliage plant p1 can be placed.

As a result, the plant P can be placed in a position on the tabletop A, whose entire periphery is set as the usable edge, that is unlikely to interfere with work. Placing the plant P on the plant placement area C contributes to the creation of a comfortable work space based on the presence of the ornamental plant p1.

At the center of the top plate A, a tower structure D is provided, which is made up of multiple frame members d1, d2, d3, d4, d5, d6, d7, d8, and d9 extending vertically and horizontally, and on which an item E can be hung.

As a result, various items E such as lighting devices, plants, wiring, etc. can be hung freely, improving the convenience of the office and contributing to the creation of a comfortable working space.
