Description

The present invention relates to an eaves structure and construction method that can hold eaves gutters stably and with high support strength, and prevent damage to the eaves gutters or cover materials even if sudden stress is applied from above or below.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, roof gutters are generally and widely known as eaves gutters.
As a structure (mechanism) for fixing this eaves gutter, for example, those shown in Patent Documents 1 to 3 are widely known.
Patent document 1 describes a structure in which a cover material is attached to block the gap below the eaves gutter and the front of the eaves edge, and the upper end (ear) of one side of the eaves gutter is engaged with a support piece (engagement portion) provided on the cover material.
Patent document 2 describes a structure in which an upper member 3 including a porous body 5 is attached to the upper surface of an eaves gutter support device 6 fixed to the exterior wall of a building, and a lower member 4, which is the eaves body main body 1, is suspended and supported by the upper member 3.
Patent document 3 describes a structure in which the upper end of the eaves side of the eaves gutter N is suspended and held on the base end of the eaves gutter cover fixing device 1 which is fixed to an exterior wall or the like, and the upper end of the other side of the eaves gutter N is fixed by gripping it from above.

実開平5-38153号公報Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 5-38153 特開2000-291213号公報JP 2000-291213 A 特許第5234278号公報Patent No. 5234278

However, in the structure of Patent Document 1, the weight of the eaves gutter itself and the load caused by rainwater, etc. are concentrated on the ears, which are the attachment points, making it poor in design as an eaves edge and only serving the function of catching rainwater, making it unsightly and poor in design.
In addition, in the structure of Patent Document 2, the lower components 4 such as the eaves gutter main body 1 are suspended and supported by the eaves gutter support device 6, so that the weight of the eaves gutter main body 1 and all other loads are concentrated on the fixed part of the eaves gutter support device 6, resulting in a cantilevered structure that is susceptible to damage during snowfall, etc.
Furthermore, even in the structure of Patent Document 3, the weight of the eaves gutter N and all of the load are concentrated on the fixing part 4 of the eaves gutter cover fixing device 1, resulting in a cantilever structure that is susceptible to damage during snowfall, etc.

The present invention aims to propose an eaves structure and construction method that can hold the eaves gutter stably and with high support strength, and prevent damage to the eaves gutter or covering material even if sudden stress is applied from above or below.

The present invention has been proposed in light of the above, and proposes an eaves end structure consisting of an eaves gutter whose side facing the building is attached to a gutter bracket fixed to the building's framework, a support material that has a horizontal long surface and a vertical long surface, and each of these has an intervening surface that is perpendicular to the gutter, and is disposed inside the eaves gutter, with a base end that runs along the side of the eaves gutter facing the building and the other end extending to the eaves end, and a cover material that covers the open top surface of the eaves gutter, the upper end of which is fixed to the exterior base of the building, and its lower end is connected to an engagement portion provided at the eaves tip of the eaves gutter.

The present invention also proposes an eaves structure in which the engagement portion of the eaves gutter is engaged with the eaves tip of the support material and is further connected to the lower end of the cover material.

The present invention also proposes an eaves structure in which the support material has a support surface portion at the upper end of the intermediate surface portion that abuts against the back surface of the cover material.

The present invention also proposes a method for constructing the eaves structure, which comprises the first step of fixing a gutter bracket to the building's framework, the second step of attaching the side of the eaves gutter facing the building to the gutter bracket, the third step of placing a support material inside the eaves gutter and fixing its base end along the side of the eaves gutter facing the building and extending the other end toward the eaves, and the fourth step of placing a cover material to cover the open top surface of the eaves gutter, fixing its upper end to the exterior base of the building, and connecting its lower end to an engagement portion provided at the eaves tip of the eaves gutter.

The eaves structure of the present invention is a structure in which the side of the eaves gutter facing the building is attached to a gutter receiving bracket fixed to the building's framework, and the engagement part at the eaves tip is held in a pulling manner by a cover material fixed to the exterior base of the building, so that the left and right ends of the eaves gutter can be stably held. Furthermore, a support material having a horizontal oblong surface portion, a vertical longitudinal surface portion, and an intervening surface portion perpendicular to each of the horizontal and vertical surfaces is arranged inside the eaves gutter, so that even if sudden stress is applied from below, the reinforcing action of this support material can prevent damage to the eaves gutter.

In addition, when the engagement portion of the eaves gutter is engaged with the eaves tip of the support material and is also connected to the lower end of the cover material, the cover material holds not only the eaves gutter but also the support material in a pulling manner, further increasing the support strength. In addition, the unity between the eaves gutter and the support material is improved, so the unity of the three components including the cover material is also improved.

In addition, if the support material has a support surface that contacts the back surface of the cover material, it becomes strong against loads from above, preventing deformation of the cover material and providing stable support.

Furthermore, the construction method for the eaves structure can be easily carried out for any of the first to fourth steps without using special tools or devices, and can construct a useful eaves structure as described above.

FIG. 13A is a perspective view showing a state before a cover material is disposed in Example 2, and FIG. 13B is a perspective view showing a support material used therein. (a) shows a scene from the construction method for the eaves structure of Example 2, with a side view showing one aspect of the second step, (b) a side view showing the third step, and (c) a side view showing the fourth step. The eaves structure of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises an eaves gutter, the side facing the building of which is attached to a gutter bracket fixed to the building's framework, a support member that has a horizontal long surface and a vertical long surface, and an intervening surface that is perpendicular to each of these, is disposed inside the eaves gutter, and has a base end that runs along the side of the eaves gutter facing the building and the other end that extends to the eaves end, and a cover material that covers the open top surface of the eaves gutter, the upper end of which is fixed to the exterior base of the building, and the lower end of which is connected to an engagement portion provided at the eaves tip of the eaves gutter.

The eaves structure of the present invention uses support materials and gutter receiving hardware inside or on the back side of the eaves gutters and cover materials that form the front and back decorative surfaces of the eaves structure. As the eaves gutters and cover materials, through materials are used exclusively, but a combination of multiple materials is also acceptable, and various metal plate materials and hard resin molded plates are used. On the other hand, as the support materials and gutter receiving hardware, multiple short width materials are used exclusively at predetermined intervals, but since each is required to have support strength, metal fittings or thick resin molded products that have the required durability are used. In particular, the support materials may be molded products made by bending metal plate materials into an L-shape (angle) as shown in the illustrated example described below.

The eaves gutter has an internal space (drainage section) for draining rainwater, etc., and is formed in an approximately U-shaped cross section consisting of a bottom and two side surfaces, with the side facing the building being attached to a gutter receiving fitting fixed to the building's structure, and an engagement section being provided on the eaves side.
As mentioned above, the drainage section of the eaves gutter refers to the entire internal space, but in normal rainfall, it is desirable to have rainwater flow only near the bottom, with the support material disposed above that. By disposing the support material above the bottom, it is possible to prevent the support material from being constantly submerged in rainwater, and to minimize corrosion, particularly in the case of a molded product such as a metal plate.

In addition, the engaging portion of the eaves gutter is folded upward in the illustrated embodiment described below, but the specific shape is not limited as long as it is connected to the lower end of the cover material. Since this engaging portion is connected to the lower end of the cover material, the eaves tip of the eaves gutter is held in place by pulling it with the cover material.
When this engaging portion is engaged with the eaves tip of the support material as in the illustrated embodiment described later, the cover material holds not only the eaves gutter but also the support material in a pulling manner, thereby further increasing the support strength.

The cover material is a member that covers the open upper surface of the eaves gutter and prevents snow from accumulating inside the eaves gutter and fallen leaves from entering and accumulating, and is not particularly limited in its material (material), and may be a through material as described above or a combination of multiple materials. The cover material may cover the entire open upper surface of the eaves gutter or only a part of it.
The surface of this covering material is formed with water guide openings, for example small slit holes, for guiding rainwater to the inside, and the presence of these water guide openings also serves to prevent the accumulation of snow and fallen leaves, etc. from entering the material.
The cover material may be a metal mesh material (wire net-like material) as long as it will not fall off or scatter over time. As for the opening size of the metal mesh material, as with the water guide port, if it is too wide, fallen leaves and the like will get in, so it is sufficient if it can prevent the intrusion of leaves and the like and guide rainwater.
In addition, a portion for preventing detachment or scattering may be formed on the cover material, or may be provided on the eaves gutter or support material.

The support material is a member whose base end runs along the side of the eaves gutter facing the building and whose other end extends toward the eaves side, and is disposed inside the eaves gutter, preferably above the constant drainage section.
This support material has a horizontal long surface portion, a vertical longitudinal surface portion, and intermediate surfaces perpendicular to each of these, so when an eaves gutter is placed below it and sudden stress is applied from below to the eaves gutter, this support material can prevent the eaves gutter from being damaged, etc. In other words, this support material also acts as a reinforcing material for the eaves gutter.

The eaves tip of this support material may engage with an engagement part formed on the eaves gutter as in the illustrated embodiment described later. In this case, the cover material holds not only the eaves gutter but also the support material in a pulling manner. This also improves the unity between the eaves gutter and the support material.
The support material may also be provided with a support surface that abuts against the back surface of the cover material. The abutment may be in advance or may occur when a load is applied to the cover material. The support surface may be provided only on the eaves side as shown in the illustrated embodiment (embodiment 2) described later, or may be provided in multiple locations as in embodiment 3, covering almost the entire area of the cover material except for the water guide port.

The gutter receiving fitting comprises a fixing portion which is fixed to the building frame and an attachment portion to which the side of the eaves gutter facing the building is attached.
There are no particular limitations on the shapes of these fixing portions and mounting portions, and a plurality of each may be provided.
In the illustrated embodiment described below, the portion where the fastener is driven into the vertical piece is the fixed portion, the L-shaped portion that receives the lower end of the side of the eaves gutter facing the building in a resting position is the lower mounting portion, and the folded-back portion that holds the upper end of the side by inserting it is the upper mounting portion, but this is not limited to these.

The method for constructing an eaves structure made up of these components is as follows.
First, in the first step, the gutter bracket is fixed to the building structure.
Next, in the second step, the side of the eaves gutter facing the building is attached to the gutter receiving bracket.
Then, in the third step, a support material having a horizontal long surface portion, a vertical long surface portion and an intervening surface portion perpendicular to each of the horizontal long surface portion and the vertical long surface portion is arranged inside the eaves gutter, and its base end is fixed along the side of the eaves gutter facing the building, and the other end is extended toward the eaves side.
Finally, in the fourth step, a covering material is placed over the open upper surface of the eaves gutter, its upper end is fixed to the exterior base of the building, and its lower end is connected to the engaging portion provided at the eaves tip of the eaves gutter.

The eaves structure of the present invention described above is a structure in which the side of the eaves gutter facing the building is attached to a gutter receiving bracket fixed to the building's frame, and the engagement part at the eaves tip is held in place by pulling it with a cover material fixed to the exterior base of the building, so that the left and right ends of the eaves gutter can be stably held. Furthermore, a support material having a horizontal oblong surface portion, a vertical longitudinal surface portion, and an intervening surface portion perpendicular to each of these is arranged inside the eaves gutter, so that even if sudden stress is applied from below through the eaves gutter, the reinforcing action of this support material can prevent damage to the eaves gutter, etc.

Furthermore, when the engagement portion of the eaves gutter is engaged with the eaves tip of the support material and is also connected to the lower end of the cover material, the cover material holds not only the eaves gutter but also the support material in a pulling manner, further increasing the support strength. Also, since the unity between the eaves gutter and the support material is improved, the unity of the three components including the cover material is also improved.

The eaves structure of Example 1 of the present invention shown in Figure 1 (a) consists of an eaves gutter 1, the side 13 of which faces the building, attached to a gutter receiving bracket 4 fixed to the building's frame 5A, a support material 2 arranged inside the eaves gutter 1, with a base end running along the side 13 of the eaves gutter 1 facing the building and the other end extending to the eaves side, and a cover material 3 that covers the open top surface of the eaves gutter 1.

The eaves gutter 1 is a through material having an internal space (drainage section) for draining rainwater, etc., and is formed in an approximately U-shaped cross section consisting of a bottom surface 11 and two side surfaces 12, 13, with the side surface 13 facing the building being attached to a gutter receiving fitting 4 fixed to the building's structure, and an engagement portion 14 that folds back toward the surface side being provided on the eaves side.
As shown in Fig. 1(b), the drainage section (internal space) of the eaves gutter 1 in Example 1 has a stepped side 12 consisting of an inclined surface 121 and a horizontal surface 122 on the eaves side (left side in the drawing) of a substantially horizontal bottom surface 11, and a substantially vertical side 13 on the building side (right side in the drawing) of the bottom surface 11, forming a drainage channel for rainwater, etc., with a substantially U-shaped cross section, formed by the bottom surface 11 and the sides 12, 13. By forming the side surface 12 in a stepped shape, a constant drainage section 10 is formed at the bottom, and rainwater, etc. flows through the constant drainage section 10 during normal rainfall.

The engaging portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1 has a shape in which an inclined surface and a horizontal surface are loosely (arcuately) connected, extends from the eaves tip of the horizontal surface 122 of the side surface 12, and communicates (connects) with the lower end of the covering material 3, i.e., the eaves tip 32. In the present embodiment 1, the engaging portion 14 is connected in a state (mode) in which the eaves tip 32 engages with the outside of the engaging portion 14.
In addition, a water-stopping material (not shown) may be interposed (continuously) between the engagement portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1 and the eaves tip 32 of the cover material 3.
As this water-stopping material, an adhesive tape or the like is preferable, and by connecting the eaves gutter 1 and the cover material 3 with water-stopping properties, the depth of the eaves gutter 1 can be increased, making the eaves gutter less likely to overflow even during heavy rainfall.

The gutter receiving bracket 4 for attaching the eaves gutter 1 comprises a fixing portion 41 which is fixed to the building's framework 5A, and mounting portions 42, 44 to which the building-facing side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1 is attached.
The gutter receiving fitting 4 in Example 1 is a bent molded body having an inwardly folded inclined piece 43 formed at the upper end of the vertical piece as shown in Figure 1 (c), and the lower end of the vertical piece extending approximately horizontally toward the eaves side, into an approximately L-shape, with the portion where the fastener 4b is driven into the vertical piece being the fixing portion 41, the L-shaped portion which receives the lower end of the side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1 facing the building in a resting position being the lower mounting portion 42, and the folded portion which holds the upper end of the side surface 13 by inserting it being the upper mounting portion 44.

The covering material 3 is a member that covers the open upper surface of the eaves gutter 1 and prevents snow from accumulating inside the eaves gutter 1, fallen leaves from entering and accumulating, and birds from building nests, and may be a through material or a combination of multiple materials.
As shown in FIG. 1(b), the cover material 3 in Example 1 has a surface (decorative surface 31) formed with a number of small slit holes as water guide ports 311 for guiding rainwater to the inside, a eaves tip 32 at its lower end, and an upper end 33 fixed to the eaves arabesque 5 near its upper end.
The eaves tip 32 is formed in a hairpin shape by gently folding the lower end of the decorative surface 31 downward and engaging with the upper side of the engaging portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1, and a downwardly inclined piece 321 is extended from the lower end to prevent rainwater from leaking in.
The upper end portion 33 is a portion located near the upper end of the decorative surface 31, and in this embodiment 1, is connected to and attached to the eaves arabesque 5D that is fixed to the building.

The support material 2 has a base end that runs along the side 13 of the eaves gutter 1 facing the building, and the other end that extends toward the eaves side, and is a component that is arranged in the internal space of the eaves gutter 1 and above the constant drainage section 10.
As shown in FIG. 1(c), the support material 2 in Example 1 is in the shape of an angle, consisting of a substantially horizontal long surface portion 21, a substantially vertical long surface portion 22, and an intervening surface portion 23 formed between the long surface portion 21 and the vertical surface portion 22, and each surface is formed substantially perpendicular to the other two surfaces.
The horizontally long surface portion 21 is a portion that is located on a horizontal plane 122 when disposed in the internal space of the eaves gutter 1 .
The vertical surface portion 22 is a fixed portion that is formed at the base end of the support portion 2, aligned along the side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1 facing the building, and fixed to the building's main body 5A by fasteners 2b.
The upper end of the intervening surface portion 23 on the eaves side is formed in an inclined shape, and together with the eaves end side of the horizontally long surface portion 21 forms an engaged portion 24 with which the engaging portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1 engages.

As already explained, the eaves tip 32 of the cover material 3 engages with the upper surface of the engagement portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1, so the engaged portion 24 of the support material 2 is located on the innermost side, and then the engagement portion 14 of the eaves gutter and finally the eaves tip 32 of the cover material 3 engage in this order toward the outside, so that the three components are stably integrated.

In addition, the horizontal surface portion 21 of the support material 2 is disposed on the horizontal surface 122 of the eaves gutter 1, and by positioning the support material 2 above the constant drainage section 10, it is possible to prevent the support material 2 from being constantly submerged in rainwater, and to minimize corrosion, etc., particularly in the case of a molded product such as a metal plate.

The configuration other than the above-mentioned eaves gutter 1, gutter receiving fittings 4, cover material 3, and support material 2 will be briefly described below.
In the figure, 5A is the fascia wall, 5B is the exterior base (= insulation material and lightweight steel) laid in the eaves direction, 5C is a wood wool cement board laid on the back side of that, 5E is the ceiling material, 6A is the exterior material, 6c is a retaining clip that holds the exterior material, and 6f is insulation arranged on the back side of the exterior material.
The exterior material 6A, which is a horizontally laid exterior material, has an eaves side molding portion 62 and a ridge side molding portion 63 which are provided on the eaves side and ridge side of a substantially flat panel portion 61 and engage with each other, and is attached (laid down) using retaining clips 6c or the like fixed to the exterior base 5B.
In addition, the eaves arabesque 5D is attached in a fitting manner to the eaves portion of the exterior base (5B) and includes an engaged portion that extends toward the eaves side and engages the eaves tip of the exterior material 6A, and a fixed portion that protrudes further toward the eaves side than the engaged portion and fixes the cover material 3.

The eaves structure of the present invention having such a configuration has the building-facing side 13 of the eaves gutter 1 attached to a gutter receiving bracket 4 fixed to the building's main body 5A, and the engagement portion 14 provided at the eaves tip is held in an embraced (pulled) manner by a covering material 3 fixed to the exterior base 5B of the building, thereby enabling the left and right ends of the eaves gutter 1 to be stably held.
Furthermore, since a support material 2 is arranged inside the eaves gutter 1, even if sudden stress is applied from the underside through the eaves gutter 1, the reinforcing action of this support material 2 can prevent damage to the eaves gutter 1.

Moreover, in this embodiment 1, the engaging portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1 engages with the eaves tip (engaged portion 24) of the support material 2, and further engages with the eaves tip 32 of the cover material 3, so that the cover material 3 holds not only the eaves gutter 1 but also the support material 2 in a pulling manner, and this support material 2 is also held in an embraced manner (pulled) by the cover material 3 fixed to the exterior base 5B, further increasing the support strength. In addition, since the integrity of the eaves gutter 1 and the support material 2 is improved, the integrity of the three components including the cover material 3 is also improved.

The eaves structure of Example 2 of the present invention shown in Figure 2 (a) has a connection mode between the cover material 3' and the eaves gutter 1' that differs from that of Example 1. The eaves tip 32' of the cover material 3' is folded back toward the back side, and the engagement portion 14' of the eaves gutter 1' is folded back toward the front side, and the tip extending further upward is folded back toward the front side, thereby engaging and connecting the respective folded pieces.
In addition, FIG. 2 shows an embodiment in which a reinforcing material 7 is interposed between the connection portions to reinforce them, but in FIG. 4 showing the construction procedure described later, the reinforcing material 7 is omitted.

The eaves gutter 1' in this embodiment 2 is exactly the same as that in the above-mentioned embodiment 1, except for the difference in the engaging portion 14' as shown in FIG. 2(b) as described above, so the same reference numerals are used in the drawings and the description will be omitted.
Moreover, the covering material 3' is also completely the same as that in the first embodiment except for the eaves tip 32' as shown in FIG. 2(b) as described above, so the same reference numerals are used in the drawings and the description will be omitted.
The support material 2' in this Example 2 is similar to that in the example 2 in that it is an angle-shaped member consisting of a horizontal surface portion 21, a vertical surface portion 22, and an intervening surface portion 23' as shown in Figure 3 (b), but is configured such that a support surface portion 25 is formed extending laterally from the upper end of the intervening surface portion 23'.

A method for constructing the eaves structure of this embodiment 2 will be described with reference to FIG.
In the first step, the gutter receiving bracket 4 is fixed to the building frame 5A. Specifically, the vertical piece of the gutter receiving bracket 4 is aligned with the building frame 5A and the fixing portion 41 is fixed by driving a screw 4b into the fixing portion 41.
Next, in the second step, as shown by the arrow in Fig. 4(a), the side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1 facing the building is attached to the gutter receiving metal fitting 4. That is, the upper end of the side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1', which faces in an inclined manner as shown in the figure, is inserted and held in the upper mounting portion 44 of the gutter receiving metal fitting 4, and the lower end of the side surface 13 is attached so as to rest on the lower mounting portion 42 of the gutter receiving metal fitting 4.

Next, in the third step, as shown in Fig. 4(b), a support material 2' is disposed inside the eaves gutter 1', and its base end is fixed along the side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1' facing the building, and the other end is extended toward the eaves side. Specifically, the vertical surface portion 22 of the support material 2' is fixed to the side surface 13 (body 5A) by driving a screw 2b into it. That is, as shown by the arrow in the figure, the support material 2' is faced approximately horizontally, and its horizontally long surface portion 21 is faced so as to abut against the horizontal surface 122 of the eaves gutter 1', and it is slid toward the building side, so that the vertical surface portion 22 can be aligned along the side surface 13 of the eaves gutter 1' as described above.
In this embodiment 2, the support surface portion 25 and the horizontal surface portion 21 form an engaged portion 24' with which the engaging portion 14' of the eaves gutter 1' engages, and although the configuration of these engaged portions 24, 24' is different, the same effect as in the embodiment 1 is achieved.
The state in which the support material 2' is arranged in this manner is also shown in Figure 3 (a), which shows the state in which short-width support materials 2' are attached at predetermined intervals to the eaves gutter 1', which is a through material attached with multiple gutter receiving fittings 4.

Then, in the fourth step, as shown in Fig. 4(c), the cover material 3' is placed so as to cover the open upper surface of the eaves gutter 1', and its upper end 33 is aligned with the eaves arabesque 5D fixed to the exterior base 5B of the building, and its eaves tip 32' is engaged and connected to the engagement part 14' provided at the eaves tip of the eaves gutter 1'. Although not shown in the figure, the upper end 33 of the cover material 3' is fixed to the eaves arabesque 5D with screws 3b as shown in Fig. 2(a).
In addition, since the support surface portion 25 of the support material 2' is located on the back side of the eaves tip 32' of the cover material 3' and the engagement portion 14' of the eaves gutter 1', it is possible to firmly fix them by driving screws or the like (not shown) from the front side.

The construction method in Figure 4 is for the eaves structure of Example 2, but it can be applied in exactly the same way to the eaves structure of Example 1.

The auxiliary member 7 shown only in FIGS. 2(a) and 2(b) will be described below.
This auxiliary material 7 has a shape in which an inclined upper surface portion 71 and a horizontal lower surface portion 72 are loosely connected (arc-shaped), and the upper end of the upper surface portion 71 is formed with a retaining portion 711 interposed in the connecting portion between the engagement portion 14' of the eaves gutter 1' and the eaves tip 32' of the cover material 3', and the lower end of the lower surface portion 72 is formed with a drainage portion 721 hanging down approximately vertically, making it a member that also serves as a drainage device.
Therefore, the engaging portion 14' of the eaves gutter 1' and the eaves tip 32' of the cover material 3' are firmly connected, and the auxiliary material 7 acts as a reinforcing material for the connecting portion.
In addition, since a water drainage portion 721 is formed, even if rainwater running down the cover material 2' flows around to the back side and tries to flow further toward the building (to the right in the figure), it will reliably fall off at the water drainage portion 721 and be prevented from flowing further.

In contrast, FIG. 2(c) shows another embodiment of the drainage, in which no other member (the auxiliary material 7) is used to connect the eaves gutter 1~ and the cover material 3~.
The engaging portion 14 of the eaves gutter 1 in this embodiment has a shape in which a deep downward inclined surface and a shallow downward inclined surface 141 are gently (arcuately) connected, and extends from the eaves tip of the horizontal surface 122 forming the side surface 12. Therefore, this eaves gutter 1 has a downward inclined eaves tip, and even if rainwater running down the covering material 2 turns around to the back side and tries to run further toward the building side (to the right in the figure), the rainwater is reliably dropped by the inclined surface 141, preventing it from running further.

The eaves structure of Example 2 constructed in this manner also has the side 13 of the eaves gutter 1' facing the building attached to a gutter receiving bracket 4 fixed to the building's framework 5A, and the engagement portion 14' at the eaves tip is held in an embraced (pulled) manner by a cover material 3' fixed to the exterior base 5B of the building, allowing the left and right ends of the eaves gutter 1' to be stably held.

Moreover, in this second embodiment, the engaging portion 14' of the eaves gutter 1' engages with the eaves tip (engaged portion 24') of the support material 2' and further engages with the eaves tip 32' of the cover material 3', so that the cover material 3' holds not only the eaves gutter 1' but also the support material 2' in a pulling manner, and this support material 2' is also held in an embraced manner (pulled) by the cover material 3' fixed to the exterior base 5B, further increasing the support strength. In addition, since the integrity of the eaves gutter 1' and the support material 2' is improved, the integrity of the three components including the cover material 3' is also improved.

In the eaves structure of Example 3 of the present invention shown in Figure 5 (a), the connection mode between the cover material 3" and the eaves gutter 1" is the same as in Example 1 (no auxiliary material is used in the connection part), and the support material 2" has support surface portions 25a, 25b that abut the back surface of the cover material 3" as in Example 2. However, in Example 3, these are provided at two locations, on the eaves side and above the water side, and are formed over almost the entire area except for the water guide outlet 311, thereby preventing deformation of the cover material 3" and providing more stable support.
In addition, the support material 2" of this Example 3 has a right-angled triangular shape when viewed from the side as shown in Figure 5 (b), with a support surface portion 25a extending laterally in a flange-like manner from the upper end of the hypotenuse on the eaves side, and a support surface portion 25b extending laterally in a flange-like manner from the upper end of the hypotenuse on the water side.
