Description

The present invention relates to a fixing structure for fixing the mating surfaces of packaging cushioning materials.

In this type of packaging cushioning, products and the like are surrounded and protected by a cardboard box formed into a cylindrical or box shape. The mating surfaces of the cushioning material in the cylindrical or box-shaped parts of such packaging cushioning need to be fixed with tape or adhesives to suppress the rebound of the cardboard itself and maintain the shape. In this case, there is a problem of hazardous gases and dioxins being generated during disposal after use. Therefore, a locking structure has been proposed that fixes the mating surfaces of the cylindrical or box-shaped parts without using tape or adhesives (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

In the locking structure shown in Patent Document 1, the mating surface of the tubular part of the packaging box is made up of an inner wall and an outer wall, and an insertion piece formed on the outer wall is inserted in a folded state into a connecting hole that opens from the inner wall to the top wall, and a restricting piece provided on the top wall is abutted against the insertion piece in the folded state, thereby maintaining the inner wall and the outer wall in a superimposed state.

However, the locking structure shown in Patent Document 1 has an open connecting hole, so in order to manufacture the packaging box, a process is required to remove unnecessary parts after making the cuts, which increases the process and generates cardboard waste. In addition, the locking structure only holds the insertion piece with the restricting piece, and since the restricting piece does not function as a wedge, there is a problem that the lock is easily released by vibration, etc.

The present invention aims to solve the above problems by providing a structure for fixing the mating surfaces of packaging cushioning material, which can be easily achieved by simply making a cut near the mating surface of the cylindrical cushioning material during manufacturing, eliminating the need for a process for removing unnecessary parts, and by simply pushing the pushing part into the cut part to firmly fix the mating surface.

The present invention provides a mating surface fixing structure for a packaging cushioning material formed into a cylindrical or box shape by at least one inner wall, a plurality of side walls connected thereto, and an outer wall overlapped on the outside of the inner wall,
A push-in portion formed by making a trapezoidal cut in a member extending from one end of the outer wall;
A cut portion is provided in one side wall that is continuous with the inner wall, the cut portion being cut in a shape that can be separated vertically in a height direction,
When the push-in portion is pushed into the cut-out portion, an upper portion of the portion divided into upper and lower portions of the cut-out portion acts as a wedge against the push-in portion,
The lower part of the portion divided into upper and lower halves of the cut-out portion is pushed along the push-in portion, and as it tries to return to its original shape, it presses the push-in portion against the upper part of the cut-out portion, so that the portion divided into upper and lower halves of the cut-out portion becomes a regulating piece that prevents the push-in portion from coming out.

In the mating surface fixing structure of the packaging cushioning material, it is preferable that the push-in portion is formed in a trapezoid shape with one end side of the outer wall as the lower base and an upper base that is longer than the lower base, and that the cut-out portion is formed by an H-shaped cut that widens upward in the height direction.

In the above-mentioned mating surface fixing structure of the packaging cushioning material, it is preferable that the packaging cushioning material formed in the cylindrical or box shape is provided in a pair connected together with a member extending from one end of the outer wall as a common bottom wall.

According to the present invention, the cut-out and push-in sections are cut near the mating surfaces of the cushioning material, so there is no need to hollow out the cardboard to provide a fixing structure, and no punching process is required. In addition, the worker can firmly lock the mating surfaces with the simple task of simply pushing the push-in section into the cut-out section with his or her fingers, and once locked, it is difficult to come loose and is difficult to release, making it easy to handle even at manufacturing sites and advantageous in terms of work efficiency.

(Configuration of one embodiment)
A packaging box according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 shows the appearance of a packaging box 1 according to the embodiment. Fig. 2 shows a state in which a cardboard 2 constituting the packaging box 1 is unfolded. In Fig. 1, the packaging box 1 is formed by folding one sheet of cardboard 2 (Fig. 2) which is a packaging cushioning material, and includes tubular parts 1A and 1B formed into a rectangular tube shape elongated in the length direction (D). Each of the tubular parts 1A and 1B includes a mating surface fixing structure 10 for the packaging cushioning material. Note that the arrow D in Fig. 1 indicates the length direction of the packaging box 1, the arrow H indicates the height direction, and the arrow W indicates the width direction.

The cylindrical portions 1A, 1B are provided in pairs, symmetrically arranged on both sides of the width direction (W) of the packaging box 1. When the packaging box 1 is used to store an electronic device, for example, the internal space of each of the cylindrical portions 1A, 1B stores accessories, etc., and the space between the cylindrical portions 1A, 1B stores the electronic device itself. Note that the packaging box 1 does not necessarily need to have a pair of cylindrical portions 1A, 1B arranged in series as in this embodiment, and may have only one of them. The following mainly describes one of the cylindrical portions 1A.

The cylindrical portion 1A is formed into a cylindrical shape (in this embodiment, a rectangular cylindrical shape) by one inner wall 11, a side wall 12, a top wall 13, and another side wall 14 that are successively connected to it, and an outer wall 15 that is overlapped on the outside of the inner wall 11. The side wall 12, the top wall 13, and the other side wall 14 are all positioned as side walls, and to form a cylindrical shape, two or more side walls are required in addition to the overlapping inner wall 11 and outer wall 15. In this embodiment, since the cylindrical portion 1A and the cylindrical portion 1B are configured as a pair, the outer wall 15 is extended from one end thereof and provided as a common bottom wall. The overlapping range of the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15 is indicated by W1.

The mating surface fixing structure 10 is for fixing the overlapping of the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15, and includes a push-in portion 16 formed by cutting into a member (bottom wall) extending from one end of the outer wall 15, and a cut-out portion 17 formed in one side wall 12 continuing to the inner wall 11. The push-in portion 16 is formed by a trapezoidal cut-out 16a. However, the lower base 16b of the trapezoid (see FIG. 2) is a connecting portion and is not cut. The cut-out portion 17 is formed by a cut-out 17a in the side wall 12 that can be divided up and down in the height direction. The one end of the outer wall 15 is the portion along the length direction D parallel to the ruled line L1 at the position indicated by the arrow C where the side wall 12 rises from the inner wall 11.

The notch 17 is provided near the center in the length direction D near the portion where the side wall 12 rises from the inner wall 11, and the push-in portion 16 is provided at a position corresponding to the notch 17. When the push-in portion 16 is pushed into the notch 17, the notch 17 is divided into upper and lower parts in the height direction, and these upper and lower divided parts become restriction pieces that prevent the push-in portion 16 from coming out, and fix the mating surfaces. Note that FIG. 1 shows the state before the mating surface fixing structure 10 fixes the mating surfaces.

In FIG. 2, the cardboard 2 is formed by punching a cardboard sheet into a rectangular shape using a die cutter or the like. The cardboard 2 is formed by pasting a front liner and a back liner to a corrugated core 2a (partially broken away). The cardboard 2 has the inner wall 11, side wall 12, top wall 13, other side wall 14, and outer wall 15 regions (forming the cylindrical portion 1A) that are connected in sequence from one end side, and further has the other side wall 14, top wall 13, side wall 12, and inner wall 11 regions (forming the cylindrical portion 1B) from the outer wall 15 toward the other end side. At the boundaries of each region, the lines L1 to L8 for valley folds, shown by dashed lines, are formed by crushing the cardboard 2 in the thickness direction. With such cardboard 2, the packaging box 1 having the above-mentioned pair of cylindrical portions 1A and 1B can be assembled.

Each of the push-in sections 16 of the cylindrical sections 1A, 1B (see FIG. 1) is provided in line symmetry with a trapezoidal cut 16a in the outer wall 15, which is the common bottom wall. The trapezoidal lower base 16b of the cut 16a serves as a connecting section without being cut, and is provided at the position indicated by arrow C, which is the overlapping range W1 of the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15 away from the lines L4, L5, which are the boundaries between the other side wall 14 and the outer wall 15. The cut section 17 is provided so that the lower end of the cut 17a overlaps the lines L1, L8. The formation of the cuts 16a and 17a, and the crushing of the lines L1 to L8, are performed simultaneously when the cardboard sheet is punched out.

(Action and Effect)
According to the packaging box 1 described above, the cutout portion 17 and the push-in portion 16 constituting the mating surface fixing structure 10 between the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15 are formed by cuts, so there is no need to hollow out the cardboard to provide the mating surface fixing structure 10, and no punching process is required. In addition, the worker can firmly lock the mating surfaces with the simple task of simply pushing the push-in portion 16 into the cutout portion 17 with his or her fingers, and once locked, it is difficult to come off and is unlikely to become loose, making it easy to handle even at the manufacturing site and advantageous in terms of work efficiency.

In conventional structures where adhesive is used for fastening, it takes time for the adhesive to harden, but in this embodiment, it can be fastened instantly by simply pressing it in with your fingers. If tape is used for fastening, toxic gases will be generated when the packaging material is incinerated if the tape is not removed before disposal when it is discarded as garbage. However, this embodiment does not use tape or adhesive, so it is environmentally friendly, clean, and suitable for recycling. In addition, there is no need to pull it out by simply inserting a blade, which contributes to reducing cardboard waste when creating cushioning materials. In this embodiment, fastening at one point achieves the same level of fastening force as two points in the conventional structure, and also saves space. In addition, there is little play between the mating surfaces, making it possible to use it for multiple purposes.

(Details of cardboard structure)
Fig. 3 shows an enlarged view of a part of the cardboard 2. In Fig. 3, the cut 16a of the push-in portion 16 provided in the outer wall 15 is formed in a trapezoid shape with a lower base 16b that serves as a connecting portion and an upper base 16c that is longer than the lower base 16b. The cuts are made in the upper base 16c and its oblique sides at both ends. The cut 17a of the cut portion 17 is formed in an H-shape that widens upward in the height direction, and can be divided into an upper part 17c and a lower part 17d of the horizontal side 17b of the H. The lower end of the H is provided to overlap the crease L1.

The trapezoid height of the trapezoidal cut 16a of the push-in portion 16 and the height of the H-shaped cut 17a of the cut-in portion 17 are approximately equal. The bottom base 16b of the trapezoid and the bottom end of the H are approximately equal in width. The top base 16c of the trapezoid is larger than the horizontal side 17b of the H and is equal in width to the widened top end of the H. With this configuration, when the push-in portion 16 is pushed into the cut-in portion 17, the cut-in portion 17 is easily divided into upper and lower parts in the height direction, and the push-in portion 16 fits into the divided cut-in portion 17 to prevent it from coming out (locking it in).

(Matching surface fixed structure)
4(a) to (c) show how the mating surface is fixed by the mating surface fixing structure 10. FIG. 4(a) shows the state before fixing, FIG. 4(b) shows the state during fixing, and FIG. 4(c) shows the state after fixing. As shown in FIG. 4(a), the trapezoidal cut 16a of the pushing portion 16 and the H-shaped cut 17a of the cut portion 17 are in a state where their respective lower ends face each other. From this state, as shown in FIG. 4(b), the cut 16a is split and the upper end of the pushing portion 16 is curved and lifted from the lower base 16b, and further, as shown in FIG. 4(c), the pushing portion 16 is pushed into the cut portion 17. As a result, the H-shaped cut 17a is split, and the trapezoidal upper base 16c portion of the pushing portion 16 is fitted into the cut portion 17. The push-in portion 16 tries to return to its original position, but the H-shaped upper portion 17c acts like a wedge to maintain the mating state, and therefore the mating surface fixing structure 10 maintains the overlapping (locked) state of the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15.

Figure 5 (a) shows a cross section of the packaging box 1 before the mating surfaces are fixed, and (b) shows a cross section of the packaging box 1 after the mating surfaces are fixed. The push-in portion 16 is lifted and pushed into the cut-out portion 17, so that the mating surface fixing structure 10 keeps the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15 overlapped and locked.

Figures 6 (a) and (b) show the procedure for fixing the mating surfaces of the packaging box 1. The push-in portion 16 is pushed up from the bottom side of the outer wall 15 with the worker's finger F, and then pushed into the cut-out portion 17. In this way, the push-in portion 16 and the cut-out portion 17 are formed to a size that allows them to be pushed up and pushed in with the finger F, which improves workability.

For example, if the overlapping range W1 of the inner wall 11 and the outer wall 15 is narrow, or the space between the cylindrical portions 1A and 1B is narrow, and the structure is such that the mating surfaces are fixed in this narrow space, it is not easy to insert a finger, and workability is poor. In contrast, with the mating surface fixing structure of this embodiment, even if the overlapping range W1 is narrow or the space between the cylindrical portions 1A and 1B is narrow, the mating surfaces can be fixed by accessing the wide space on the bottom side of the outer wall 15, and workability is good.

Other Embodiments
Fig. 7 shows a packaging box 1 according to another embodiment. Fig. 8 shows a cardboard 2 constituting the packaging box 1. The packaging box 1 is formed by folding the cardboard 2, and is composed of one cylindrical portion formed into a rectangular tube shape that is elongated in the longitudinal direction (D). The cylindrical portion is formed of an inner wall 11, a side wall 12, a top wall 13, and another side wall 14 that are successively connected to the inner wall 11, and an outer wall 15 that is overlapped on the outside of the inner wall 11.

The mating surface fixing structure 10 has a push-in portion 16 formed by extending from one end of the outer wall 15, and a cut-out portion 17 formed in the side wall 12. The push-in portion 16 is not a cut, but is formed when the cardboard sheet is punched out. The other configurations are the same as those of the above-mentioned embodiment, and the same effects are obtained. The "formed by a cut" in the claims regarding the push-in portion 16 includes the case where it is formed by punching the cardboard sheet in this way.

The present invention is not limited to the configuration of the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible. For example, when the cylindrical portions 1A and 1B are long in the longitudinal direction D, multiple mating surface fixing structures 10 may be provided in the longitudinal direction D. In addition, the trapezoidal cut 16a of the push-in portion 16 and the H-shaped cut 17a of the cut portion 17, which is wider in the upper height direction, can be modified as desired as long as they have the same effect as the respective shapes. In addition, although the above describes a packaging box 1 having a cylindrical portion, the packaging box may be a box-shaped body formed by integrally providing covers that cover the openings at both ends of the cylindrical portion with the cardboard.
