Description

The present invention relates to a hinge cap that is attached to the mouth of a container, and in particular to a hinge cap that is suitable for leak testing.

2. Description of the Related Art Hinge caps are known which are made up of a cap body that is attached to the mouth of a container and a lid body that is attached to the cap body via a hinge.
With this type of hinge cap, after molding, the lid is closed and a sealing test (leak test) is performed to check whether the seal between the sealing tube and the pouring tube is tight. In this case, it is necessary to provide a gap to serve as an air passage in the outer airtight part between the lid body and the cap body, but there is a problem that shower water used for cleaning the cap, etc., can enter the cap through this gap.

For this reason, the cap body is attached to the mouth of the container and includes an attachment part having a lid engagement part that engages with the lid body, a partition wall that extends inward from the attachment part and has an opening for a pouring outlet, and a pouring tube that stands upright from the partition wall, the lid body includes a top wall, a side peripheral wall that hangs down from the peripheral edge of the top wall, and a sealing tube that hangs down from the inner surface of the top wall and seals the pouring tube of the cap body, and the cap body has a notch formed by cutting out a part of the lid engagement part on the hinge side and an inner wall that stands upright from the upper surface of the partition wall inside the notch, and a hinge cap that forms an air passage between the notch and the inner wall when the lid is closed is known (see Patent Document 1).

However, in the hinge cap described in Patent Document 1, a portion of the lid engagement portion on the hinge side of the cap body is cut out, so when the hinge cap is attached to a container with the lid closed after molding, the lid loses the receiving portion on the hinge side and becomes easily deformed, causing the seal to shift and resulting in liquid leakage.

The present invention aims to solve the above problems by providing a hinge cap that ensures an air passage for leak testing and suppresses deformation of the lid.

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a hinge cap comprising a cap body to be attached to a container and a lid body attached to the cap body via a hinge, the cap body being fitted to the mouth of the container and including an attachment part having a lid engagement part that engages with the lid body, a partition wall extending inward from the inner edge of the attachment part and sealing the opening of the mouth part, and a pouring tube erected from the periphery of a pouring outlet that penetrates the partition wall, the lid engagement part erected in an arc shape leaving cutout parts cut in a predetermined range on both sides from the hinge side. The cap body has a top wall, a side wall extending vertically from the peripheral edge of the top wall, an engagement recess extending around the inner periphery of the lower end of the side wall and engaging with the lid engagement protrusion of the lid engagement part, and a sealing tube extending vertically from the inner surface of the top wall and sealing the pouring tube of the cap body, and the cap body has a cutout portion formed by cutting out a part of the lid engagement part on the hinge side, and a rear side protrusion extending vertically from the cutout portion and capable of abutting the engagement recess of the lid body, and a gap is provided between the lid engagement protrusion and the rear side protrusion of the lid engagement part.

As an embodiment of the hinge cap, a configuration is adopted in which the rear side protrusion is erected at the same height as the lid engagement protrusion of the lid engagement portion, and the rear side protrusion has a flat abutment upper surface, an outer outer side surface, and an inner inner slope , and the engagement recess of the lid body has a downward surface that abuts against the upper surface of the lid engagement protrusion and the abutment upper surface of the rear side protrusion .

Furthermore, as a specific embodiment of the hinge cap, a configuration is adopted in which the rear side protrusion has a radial thickness greater than that of the lid engagement protrusion of the lid engagement portion, and a configuration is adopted in which the rear side protrusions are provided in plurality, and gaps are formed between the plurality of rear side protrusions.

By adopting the above-mentioned configuration, the hinge cap of the present invention ensures an air passage for leak testing and can suppress deformation of the lid when the hinge cap is attached to the container with the lid closed after molding.

Next, the hinge cap of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings showing an embodiment.
In the following description, the left side in FIG. 1 is the "pouring side", the right side is the "rear side", the upper side is the "upper", and the lower side is the "lower".

In FIG. 1, A is a container, B is a cap body attached to the container A, and D is a lid body attached to the cap body B via a hinge C so as to be able to open and close.
Container A has a mouth 1 at its top, and a fitting ridge 2 is provided on the upper outer periphery of mouth 1, the upper outer periphery of which forms an inclined surface 2a.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the cap body B comprises an attachment portion 3 that is fitted into the mouth portion 1 of the container A, a partition wall 4 that extends inward from the inner edge of the attachment portion 3 and seals the opening of the mouth portion 1, a pouring outlet 4a that penetrates the partition wall 4, and a pouring tube 5 that stands upright around the pouring outlet 4a.
In this embodiment, in order to make it easier to pour the contents, the pouring tube 5 is erected on the pouring side rather than the center of the partition 4, the pouring side is formed higher than the back side (hinge C side), and the lip portion 5a is widened into a trumpet shape.

The mounting portion 3 is composed of an annular lid engagement portion 6 that engages with the lid body D, an inner tube 7 that hangs down from the inner side of the lid engagement portion 6, and an outer peripheral wall portion 8 that hangs down from the outer side of the lid engagement portion 6, and a hinge C is connected to the upper end on the back side of the outer peripheral wall portion 8, and an engagement protrusion 9 is provided at the lower inner circumference for engaging with a mating protrusion 2 of the mouth portion 1 of the container A.
In this embodiment, the mounting portion 3 is composed of an inner tube 7 and an outer peripheral wall portion 8 which are vertically arranged across the mouth 1 of the container A, and a lid engagement portion 6 which is connected to the inner tube 7 and the outer peripheral wall portion 8. However, the connection between the inner tube 7 and the outer peripheral wall portion 8 is not limited to the lid engagement portion 6, and any ring-shaped base wall portion will do, and in this case the lid engagement portion 6 may be provided on the peripheral portion of the partition wall 4.

The lid engagement portion 6 has an arc-shaped lid engagement protrusion 11 extending from the center of the rear side to both sides, leaving a notch 10 cut into the partition wall 4 at a height flush with the upper surface of the partition wall 4 within a predetermined range, and within the notch 10, a rear side protrusion 12 is provided at the same height as the lid engagement protrusions 11, which are arranged in plurality with equally spaced gaps 10a spaced from both ends of the lid engagement protrusion 11.
In this embodiment, the cutout portion 10 is formed flush with the upper surface of the partition 4, but the cutout portion 10 may be formed at a position higher than the upper surface of the partition 4. Furthermore, the rear side protrusion 12 is erected at the same height as the lid engagement protrusion 11 (lid engagement portion 6), but the rear side protrusion 12 may be higher or lower than the lid engagement protrusion 11 as long as it is capable of abutting with the lid body D (abutting or in close proximity when the lid is closed).
A locking protrusion 13 is provided on the outer periphery of the cover engaging protrusion 11 .

The rear side protrusion 12 has an outer surface 12a extending upward from the inside beyond the outer diameter of the lid engagement protrusion 11, an abutting upper surface 12b which is flat from the upper end of the outer surface 12a toward the pouring side and whose inner end is formed inside the diameter of the inner end of the upper surface of the lid engagement protrusion 11, and an inner inclined surface 12c which extends downward toward the pouring side from the inner end of the abutting upper surface 12b.
In this embodiment, the rear surface side protrusion 12 has a radial thickness set to be greater than that of the lid engaging protrusion 11 of the lid engaging portion 6 .

In this embodiment, three rear projections 12 are provided in the cutout 10, one in the center and one on each side, with a gap 10a between them. Alternatively, one may be provided in the center with a wider gap 10a on both sides, or a wider rear projection 12 may be provided with gaps 10a on both sides. As long as the rear projections 12 are provided in the cutout 10 with a gap 10a between them, the number of rear projections 12 is not important.

At the upper part of the outer peripheral wall portion 8, on the pouring side, there is a stepped recess 15 recessed from the outer periphery in an arc shape over a range of approximately 180° and a depth of a distance α from above, and on the remaining back side, the upper surface 8a is flush with the upper surface of the partition 4 and the bottom surface of the cutout portion 10, and a hinge C is connected to the upper end of the outer periphery.
The step recess 15 is formed with a flat surface 15a that is a distance α below the top surface 8a, an inclined surface 15b that slopes upward and inward from the inner peripheral edge of the flat surface 15a, and inclined side surfaces 15c that slope from both sides of the end of the flat surface 15a toward both sides of the top surface 8a.

At a position corresponding to the outer peripheral notch 16 of the engaging protrusion 9 on the inner circumference of the outer peripheral wall portion 8, an inner peripheral notch (not shown) is engraved vertically, and the outer peripheral wall portion 8 in that portion is cut from inside and outside, forming a vertical weakened portion 17 that constitutes a vertical tear line that thins the wall.

As shown in FIG. 2, on the hinge C side of the outer peripheral cutout 16 on the back side of the outer peripheral wall 8, a slit groove 18 is recessed from the upper surface 8a, starting from a position separated by the thin-walled portion of the upper part of the inner peripheral side of the end face 16a, and extending in the circumferential direction (along the hinge C side) to the inclined side surface 15c of the stepped recess 15 on the right end side of the upper surface 8a. Also, the upper surface 8a on the opposite side of the hinge C of the outer peripheral cutout 16 of the outer peripheral wall 8 is a thick-walled portion 19 that integrally connects the upper part of the outer peripheral wall 8 and the lower part of the lid engagement portion 6.

As shown in FIG. 3(a), the bottom surface 20 of the slit groove 18 is recessed deepest from the top surface 8a by a distance β from the end surface 16a to the center of the hinge C (back side) (O-X1 line in FIG. 2), and as shown in FIG. 3(b), the bottom surface 20b is located at about 45° from the center of the hinge C toward the right (O-X2 line in FIG. 2), and as shown in FIG. 3(c), the bottom surface 20c is located at about 60° from the center of the hinge C toward the right (O-X3 line in FIG. 2), and is formed so that the height from the top surface 8a gradually becomes shallower from the distance β. Finally, as shown in FIG. 3(d), the inclined side surface 15c of the step recess 15 is cut out at about 90° from the center of the hinge C toward the right (O-X4 line in FIG. 2), and is formed to continue to the end of the flat surface 15a at a distance α.

In addition, the portion of the outer peripheral wall portion 8 outside the slit groove 18 on the rear side thereof constitutes a rear outer wall portion 23 which stands upright from the bottom surface 20 of the slit groove 18 to the upper surface 8a, and a hinge C is connected to a predetermined position on the outer peripheral upper end of the rear outer wall portion 23.

At the upper inner periphery of the outer peripheral wall portion 8, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3(a), from the left side to the center of the rear side, a contact surface portion 24 is formed which is inclined inward and upward from above the lower lateral weakened portion 21 and comes into contact with the inclined surface 2a of the fitting protrusion 2 when the container A is attached to the container A. From the center of the rear side to the right side, as shown in Figs. 2(a), 3(b) and 3(c), a contact surface portion 24 is formed which is inclined inward and upward from the height of the inclined bottom surface 20 upward and parallel to the outer surface of the outer connecting portion 22 and which contacts the container A when the container A is attached to the container A. A parallel surface 25 is provided which is formed so as to move away from the inclined surface 2a of the mating protrusion 2 when attached to A, and the area between the parallel surface 25 and the outer surface of the connecting portion 22 is thinned to form an inclined connection weakened portion 26, and on the pouring side, within the range of the step recess 15, as shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3 (d), an upward recess 27 is recessed from below into the outer peripheral edge of the lower surface of the lid engagement portion 6, and the area between the upward recess 27 and the inclined surface 15b of the step recess 15 is thinned to form an upper lateral weakened portion 28.
The lower lateral weakened portion 21, the inclined connecting weakened portion 26 and the upper lateral weakened portion 28 are formed in sequence and continuous to each other, forming a circumferential tear line.

As shown in Figure 2, the partition 4 has a flat surface portion 30 on which the pouring outlet 4a and the pouring tube 5 are provided, and a liquid return concave portion 31 that slopes downward from the back side of the pouring tube 5 of the flat surface portion 30 toward the hinge C side.
The flat surface portion 30 is provided with the pouring outlet 4a and the pouring tube 5, and has a semicircular surface 30a formed in a semicircular shape on the pouring side, and an annular surface 30b formed in a ring shape on the hinge C side.
Furthermore, the liquid return concave portion 31 is formed at a distance γ of at least 1 mm (4.4 mm in this embodiment) from the lower end of the back side of the pouring tube 5 of the flat surface portion 30, and it is particularly preferable to provide it in the range of 1 mm to 7 mm.

The liquid return concave portion 31 comprises a pouring side inclined portion 32 that extends from the pouring side end at a downward angle, a rear side inclined portion 33 that extends from the rear side end at a downward angle, a bent portion 34 that connects the pouring side inclined portion 32 and the rear side inclined portion 33, and a pair of side wall portions 35 that connect both sides of each and close them up to the upper end. It is preferable that the lower end of the lowest bent portion 34 is formed to the depth of the lower end of the inner tube 7 and is long enough not to exceed the lower end of the inner tube 7.

The angle θ of the pouring side inclined portion 32 with respect to the horizontal plane is formed in the range of 10° to 60° (30° in this embodiment), and as the angle θ of the pouring side inclined portion 32 increases, the angle of the back side inclined portion 33 decreases, and conversely, as the angle θ decreases, the angle of the back side inclined portion 33 increases.
In addition, when the angle θ of the pouring-side inclined portion 32 becomes larger, the position of the bent portion 34 moves closer to the pouring side, and conversely, when the angle θ becomes smaller, the position moves closer to the hinge C. The angles of the pouring-side inclined portion 32 and the back-side inclined portion 33 may be equal.
The upper surface of the bent portion 34 is a flat lower flat surface 36, where a gate for injecting resin during molding is located.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the lid body D is rotatably attached to the upper outer end of the outer wall portion 8 of the cap body B via a hinge C, and is provided with a top wall 40, a side wall 41 extending vertically from the periphery of the top wall 40, and a sealing tube 42 extending vertically from the inner surface of the top wall 40 to seal the pouring tube 5.
The top wall 40 is provided with a deformable thin-walled portion 43 on the outer periphery side of the sealing cylinder 42 .

An engagement recess 45 is provided around the inner periphery of the lower end of the side peripheral wall 41 to engage with the lid engagement protrusion 11 of the lid engagement portion 6 to maintain the lid in the closed state.
The engagement recess 45 has an engagement portion 46 on its inward surface that engages with the engagement protrusion 13 of the lid engagement protrusion 11, and the downward surface 45a is configured to abut against the upper surface of the lid engagement protrusion 11 and the abutment upper surface 12b of the rear side protrusion 12.
In this embodiment, the downward surface 45a of the engagement recess 45 is adapted to abut against the abutment upper surface 12a of the rear projection 12, but this is not necessarily required and may be in close proximity.
In addition, inside the engagement recess 45 of the side wall 41, except for the vicinity opposite the rear side protrusion 12, there are multiple engagement protrusions 47 arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction which abut against the upper inner periphery of the lid engagement protrusion 11 when the lid is closed to prevent the side wall 41 from spreading outward.

A knob 48 having an arc shape is formed in the circumferential direction at the lower part on the spout side on the outer periphery of the side wall 41, and a hinge C is connected to the lower end part on the back side.
An arc-shaped covering wall 49 is vertically attached to the pouring side outer edge of the underside of the side wall 41, and is formed so that its lower end is close to or abuts the flat surface 15a of the step recess 15 so as to cover the step recess 15 of the outer wall portion 8 of the cap body B when the lid is closed.

The sealing tube 42 has a normal seal portion a that is inserted into the inner circumferential surface of the pouring tube 5 when the lid is closed to create a sealed state, and a lower seal tube 42a is provided with a reduced diameter on the lower outer circumferential side of the sealing tube 42. The lower seal tube 42a is formed so that it is close to or in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the pouring outlet 4a of the partition wall 4 when the lid is closed, and another temporary seal portion b is formed below the seal portion a between the lower seal tube 42a and the inner circumferential surface of the pouring outlet 4a.

In order to prevent unauthorized opening before use, the hinge cap of this embodiment may be provided with a shrink label or sealing member between the cap body B and the lid body D (not shown).

Next, the manner of use and the effects of this embodiment will be described.
The hinge cap of this embodiment is first integrally molded in the state shown in FIG. 2, and then the cover body D is rotated via the hinge C to cover the cap body B, and closed as shown in FIG.
At this time, the outer peripheral surface of the lower part of the sealing tube 42 of the lid body D comes into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the lower part of the pouring tube 5 of the cap body B to form a seal portion a.
Furthermore, the engaging recess 45 of the side peripheral wall 41 of the lid body D and the lid engaging projection 11 of the lid engaging portion 6 of the cap body B engage with each other, maintaining the lid closed.

When the hinge cap of this embodiment is closed and a leak test is performed on the seal between the pouring tube 5 of the cap body B and the sealing tube 42 of the lid body D, air is allowed to flow from below toward the pouring outlet 4a of the cap body B. If there is a defect in the seal between the pouring tube 5 of the cap body B and the sealing tube 42 of the lid body D, the air leaking outward from the pouring tube 5 flows through the gap 10a of the cutout portion 10 excluding the backside protrusion 12 of the lid engagement portion 6 of the cap body B that abuts against the downward surface 45a of the engagement recess 45 of the lid body D, and the air comes out between the inward surface of the engagement recess 45 and the gap 10a and the outer surface 12a of the backside protrusion 12, so that a seal defect can be determined.

In this embodiment, the outer surface 12a of the rear projection 12 of the cap body B is located inside the locking portion 46 of the engagement recess 45 of the lid body D, and the outer surface 12a of the rear projection 12 and the locking portion 46 of the engagement recess 45 of the lid body D do not come into contact with each other, forming a gap, which allows air to flow easily, but the locking portion 46 of the engagement recess 45 of the lid body D may also come into contact with or engage with the outer surface 12a of the rear projection 12.

Next, as shown in FIG. 1, the closed hinge cap is attached to the mouth 1 of the container A filled with the content liquid.
In the stoppering process, the mouth 1 of the container A is placed into the annular groove formed between the inner tube 7 and outer peripheral wall 8 of the attachment portion 3 of the cap body B, and a pressing force is applied from above the lid body D, causing the engaging protrusion 9 of the outer peripheral wall 8 to overcome the mating protrusion 2 of the mouth 1 and engage with it, so that the mouth 1 of the container A is clamped between the outer periphery of the inner tube 7, the inner periphery of the outer peripheral wall 8, and the lid engagement portion 6, thereby attaching the container A.

When the hinge cap of this embodiment is capped, the downward surface 45a of the engagement recess 45 of the lid body D abuts against the upper surface of the lid engagement protrusion 11 of the cap body B and the abutting upper surface 12b of the back side protrusion 12, and further, the locking protrusion 47 provided inside the engagement recess 45 abuts against and gets caught on the upper inner circumference of the lid engagement protrusion 11, thereby preventing the side wall 41 from spreading outward in response to the pressing force from above the lid body D.
In particular, the hinge C side of the lid body D prevents the side wall 41 from expanding outward, and the downward surface 45a of the lid body D abuts against the abutting upper surface 12b of the rear side protrusion 12 of the cap body B, thereby suppressing deformation due to pressing force from above.

In addition, the flat surface portion 30 of the partition 4 has a distance γ of at least 1 mm between the lower end of the back side of the pouring tube 5 and the upper end of the pouring side inclined portion 32 of the liquid return concave portion 31, so that this portion has good shape retention. Even if the pouring tube 5 is pushed in by the sealing tube 42 of the lid body D during stoppering, or the back side of the lower end of the pouring tube 5 is pulled inward by the inclination of the liquid return concave portion 31, the back side of the flat surface portion 30 does not deform, and the pouring tube 5 is prevented from tilting to the back side.

When the hinge cap of this embodiment is applied to container A filled with hot liquid, the pressure inside container A rises. However, since the top wall 40 has a deformable thin-walled portion 43 formed on the outside of the sealing tube 42, only the inner side of the thin-walled portion 43 of the top wall 40 rises, releasing the pressure outside the pouring tube 5. This does not interfere with the engagement between the engagement recess 45 of the side wall 41 of the lid body D and the lid engagement portion 6 of the cap body B, and the lid is maintained closed, thereby preventing the lid body D from opening due to an increase in internal pressure when the liquid is hot.
In addition, even if shower water passes through the cutout portion 10 (gap 10a) and enters the hinge cap when cleaning the hinge cap, the cutout portion 10 (gap 10a) is in communication with the outside, so the structure is such that it dries easily.

Furthermore, even if an impact force is applied to the top wall 40 of the lid body D when it is dropped upside down in a closed state, the thin-walled portion 43 absorbs the impact received by the lid body D and the sealing tube 42 is not pushed into or pulled away from the dispensing tube 5. This does not affect the tight fit between the sealing tube 42 and the dispensing tube 5 of the cap body B, and prevents the sealing tube 42 and the dispensing tube 5 from coming loose or damaging each other.

When the liquid contents in container A are to be used, the gripping portion 48 of lid body D is hooked with the fingers and lifted up, releasing the seal between the sealing tube 42 of lid body D and the dispensing tube 5 of cap body B, and the engagement between the side peripheral wall 41 of lid body D and the lid engagement portion 6 of cap body B is released, and lid body D is opened. When container A is tilted toward the dispensing side, the liquid contents in container A can be poured out of the dispensing tube 5 through the outlet 4a of cap body B.

The hinge cap of this embodiment has a covering wall 49 on the outer peripheral edge of the pouring side of the underside of the side wall 41 of the lid body D, which hides the stepped recess 15 of the outer peripheral wall 8 of the cap body B when the lid is closed, and prevents fingers hanging under the knob 48 from hitting and touching the inside of the lid body D when the lid is opened, so the inside of the cap is kept clean.

After pouring, the container A is returned to its original position and the lid D is again closed on the cap body B. This causes the outer periphery of the sealing tube 42 of the lid D to fit closely to the inner periphery of the pouring tube 5 of the cap body B, forming a seal and sealing the inside of the container A. The hinge cap can be used by repeatedly opening and closing the lid D.

In this embodiment, after pouring, the partition 4 of the cap body B causes the liquid contents adhering inside the pouring tube 5 to be collected downward due to its own weight, flow to the underside of the flat surface portion 30 through the pouring outlet 4a, and flow downward along the inner surface of the inner tube 7. Meanwhile, the liquid contents that have flowed to the back side of the underside of the flat surface portion 30 are collected on the underside of the bent portion 34 due to the inclination of the pouring side inclined portion 32 of the liquid return concave portion 31, and flow down and are returned to the container A.
In particular, the liquid contents that flow from the dispensing tube 5 to the back side of the lower surface of the flat surface portion 30 are pulled by the inclined flow of the dispensing side inclined portion 32 and flow smoothly, since the distance γ between the dispensing tube 5 and the dispensing side inclined portion 32 of the liquid return concave portion 31 is short, and therefore the liquid contents do not remain on the lower surface of the central portion of the partition 4.
Since the liquid content is less likely to remain inside the pouring tube 5 and on the underside of the flat surface portion 30, the liquid content does not remain and accumulate on the lower inner periphery of the pouring tube 5 and on the edge of the pouring outlet 4a on the underside of the flat surface portion 30, thereby preventing the pouring outlet 4a from being blocked.

In this embodiment, in order to confirm the effect of setting the angle θ of the pouring side inclined portion 32 in the liquid return concave portion 31 of the partition 4 of the cap body B with respect to the horizontal plane, the angle θ was changed. When the angle θ was less than 10°, the inclination of the underside of the pouring side inclined portion 32 was too gentle, causing the flow down to be slow, and the highly viscous contents remained on the underside of the central part of the partition 4 or sometimes adhered to and remained on the underside of the pouring side inclined portion 32 itself.
If the angle θ is steeper than 60°, the angle of the rear side inclined portion 33 becomes too gentle, which makes it easier for the liquid contents to adhere to and accumulate on the underside of the rear side inclined portion 33, which is undesirable.
Furthermore, if the angle θ is too steep, the length of the pouring-side inclined portion 32 becomes too short, and the accumulated liquid may not flow down.
From the above, it is preferable that the angle θ of the pouring-side inclined portion 32 with respect to the horizontal plane is in the range of 10° to 60° as the cap body B that does not allow the content liquid to accumulate below the pouring tube 5.

In the hinge cap of this embodiment, the upper surface of the flat surface portion 30 of the partition wall 4 of the cap body B is flat, and further, the liquid contents dripping onto the upper surface of the liquid return concave portion 31 are collected on the lower flat surface 36 of the bottom due to the inclination of the upper surface of each of the liquid return concave portions 31, and because the lower flat surface 36 is flat, dirt can be easily wiped off with tissue, etc.

Next, a mode in which the hinge cap is separately disposed of after the liquid content in the container A has been completely used will be described.
In this case, the hinge cap is opened, and the cover body D is grasped with the fingers and pulled outward, whereby the rear outer wall portion 23, which is the connecting portion with the hinge C of the outer peripheral wall portion 8, is pulled via the hinge C, pulling and deforming the rear side of the connected outer peripheral wall portion 8.
As the rear side of the outer peripheral wall portion 8 is pulled, the vertical weakened portion 17 formed by the outer peripheral cut portion 16 is broken.
When the cover body D is further pulled, the lower horizontal weakened portion 21 is cut in the circumferential direction from the end face 16a side connected to the vertical weakened portion 17, and then the continuous inclined connecting weakened portion 26 begins to break.
When the lower lateral weakened portion 21 is cut and the fracture of the inclined connecting weakened portion 26 progresses, as shown in Figure 4, the lower side of the fractured outer peripheral wall portion 8 is separated from the cap body B by the lower lateral weakened portion 21 and the inclined connecting weakened portion 26 of the lid body D and the cap body B connected thereto.

Next, when the inclined connection weakened portion 26 is completely broken, the continuous upper lateral weakened portion 28 is broken from the right end, and is finally stopped by the thick portion 19.
Furthermore, when the broken outer wall portion 8 is pulled, the thick portion 19 of the connected outer wall portion 8 is pulled outward, disengaging the engaging protrusion 9 of the outer wall portion 8 of the cap body B from the mating protrusion 2 of the mouth 1 of the container A, and when it is raised in this state, the upper side and its inner side of the outer wall portion 8 connected by the thick portion 19 are lifted and the cap body B is removed from the mouth 1 of the container A, so that the hinge cap and container A can be disposed of separately.

In the hinge cap of this embodiment, when the inclined connection weakened portion 26 is cut, it is inclined from bottom to top to match the inclination of the bottom surface 20, so that the force pulling on the lower part of the outer wall portion 8 is directed upward and the force is easily applied. Also, since the inner parallel surface 25 forming the inclined connection weakened portion 26 moves away from the inclined surface 2a of the mating protrusion 2 of the container A, there is less resistance to cutting, making it easier to break.
In addition, when cutting the upper horizontal weakened portion 28 on the pouring side, the upward recess 27 on the inner surface of said portion is completely separated from the inclined surface 2a of the mating protrusion 2 of the container A, thereby further reducing the resistance to cutting and making it easier to break.

The hinge cap of the present invention ensures an air passage for leak testing, and after molding, when the hinge cap is attached to the container with the lid closed, deformation of the lid can be suppressed, making it suitable as a hinge cap for containers that store food, etc.
