The following describes an embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings. Figures 1 and 2 show a first embodiment of the remodeled sash of the present invention. This remodeled sash is applied to a sliding window, and includes a remodeled frame 3 that is fitted from the outside into an opening 26 to which an existing frame 4 is attached and fixed to a frame 5, a resin frame 27 attached to the inside of the remodeled frame 3, and an outer screen 28, an inner screen 29, and a screen door 30 that are fitted slidably along the upper and lower horizontal frames of the remodeled frame 3.
The existing frame 4 is a sash frame without angles for a sliding window, and as shown in Figures 1 and 2, is composed of an upper frame 31, a lower frame 32, and left and right vertical frames 33, 33 made of aluminum shaped materials, and is attached to the main body 5 in a so-called semi-external state. An existing wooden frame 34 is provided on the interior side of the existing frame 4.
As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the reform frame 3 is composed of a new frame 1 and an outer peripheral frame 2 that surrounds the new frame 1.
The new frame 1 is made up of an upper frame 35, a lower frame 36, and left and right vertical frames 37, 37, all four sides of which are made of aluminum shaped material. The upper frame 35 and the lower frame 36 are insulated by a heat insulating bridge 38 in the middle in the prospective direction. The new frame 1 also has a resin angle 39 on the indoor side to prevent condensation on the indoor side.
As shown in FIG. 7, this new frame 1 is formed by breaking off the fins 40 for fixing the frame to the frame body of a typical semi-external sash frame.
As shown in FIG. 8, the new frame 1 has a metal reinforcing plate 25 in contact with the outer periphery of the left and right vertical frames 37, 37. The reinforcing plate 25 is arranged at two locations, the upper and lower, on the outer periphery of the vertical frame 37, at the sides of the upper frame 35 and the lower frame 36, and the reinforcing plate 25 and the vertical frame 37 are fastened together to the upper frame 35 and the lower frame 36 by screwing screws 41 that penetrate the reinforcing plate 25 and the vertical frame 37 from the outer periphery into tapping holes 42 in the upper frame 35 and the lower frame 36. A sheet-like sealer 43 is interposed between the longitudinal end faces of the upper frame 35 and the lower frame 36 and the inner periphery of the vertical frame 37. The reinforcing plate 25 has its outer end abutted against a piece 44 that protrudes toward the outer periphery of the vertical frame 37.
In this way, the reinforcing plate 25 is provided on the outer periphery of the vertical frame 37, and the reinforcing plate 25 and the vertical frame 37 are fastened together with the horizontal frames (upper frame, lower frame) 35, 36 with screws 41, which prevents the vertical frame 37 from deforming so as to spread outward when the shoji screens 28, 29 are forcefully closed, thereby maintaining watertightness. The effect of preventing deformation of the vertical frame 37 is enhanced by abutting the outside end of the reinforcing plate 25 against the piece 44 that protrudes toward the outer periphery of the vertical frame 37. The fact that the reinforcing plate 25 is provided on the outer periphery of the vertical frame 37 of the newly constructed frame 1 in this way is also the case for the second, fourth, and fifth embodiments described below.
As shown in Figures 1 to 4, the outer peripheral frame 2 is formed by a framework of an upper frame 45, a lower frame 46, and left and right vertical frames 47, 47 made of aluminum material. More specifically, the longitudinal end faces of the upper frame 45 and the lower frame 46 are butted against the inner peripheral side faces of the vertical frames 47, 47 via a sealing material 56 (see Figures 2 and 3), and the framework is formed by screwing screws 103 (see Figures 3 and 4) inserted through the vertical frames from the side into tapping holes 48 in the upper and lower frames 45, 46.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the upper frame 45, the lower frame 46, and the left and right vertical frames 47 are each composed of two members: a main member 49 extending in the prospective direction, and a cover piece 50 that is detachably attached to the exterior end of the main member 49 and extends toward the outer periphery. Each cover piece 50 overlaps with the exterior side of the exterior wall of the existing frame. The main member 49 has an extension portion 51 that extends further inside the room than the interior wall of the new frame 1 and the existing frame 4, and the extension portion 51 has a hole 53 through which a screw 52 for fixing the reform frame 3 to the framework 5 is inserted. The main member 49 has positioning parts 54 at two locations, one on the exterior side and one on the interior side, and by engaging each positioning part 54 with the upper frame 35, lower frame 36, and vertical frame 37 of the new frame 1 from the outer periphery, the upper frame 45, lower frame 46, and vertical frame 47 of the outer periphery frame 2 can be positioned in the prospective direction and the new frame 1 and the outer periphery frame 2 can be integrated. The cover piece 50 has multiple breakable parts 55 provided at intervals in the inner and outer periphery directions on the interior side, and the visible dimension can be changed by appropriately breaking off the breakable parts 55 depending on the shape of the existing frame 4, etc.
1 and 2, airtight materials 57a, 57b, 57c, and 57d are provided continuously around the four periphery in the gap between the outer peripheral side surface of the new frame 1 and the inner peripheral side surface of the outer peripheral frame 2. The airtight materials 57a, 57b, 57c, and 57d are provided at the positions where the fins 40 of the new frame 1 were broken off.
The vertical frame 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 has a sealant 56 provided at the joint with the end faces of the horizontal frames (upper frame, lower frame) 45, 46, and the longitudinal ends of the horizontal airtight materials 57a, 57b extending along the horizontal frames 45, 46 of the outer perimeter frame 2 and the vertical airtight materials 57c, 57d extending along the vertical frames 47, 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 abut against the sealant 56, and the horizontal airtight materials 57a, 57b and the vertical airtight materials 57c, 57d are continuous via the sealant 56. This prevents rainwater from entering the room through the gap between the new frame 1 and the outer perimeter frame 2.
In addition, airtight materials 58a, 58b are continuously provided in the gap between the cover piece 50 of the upper frame 45 of the outer perimeter frame 2 and the outdoor side wall of the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4, and in the gap between the cover pieces 50, 50 of the vertical frames 47, 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 and the outdoor side walls of the vertical frames 33, 33 of the existing frame 4. This prevents rainwater from entering the gap between the reform frame 3 and the existing frame 4.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the inner periphery of the existing frame 34 on the indoor side of the existing frame 4 is provided with mounting auxiliary materials 6 that serve as a base for fixing the reform frame 3 to the framework 5. The mounting auxiliary materials 6 are made of aluminum shaped material and are formed with a U-shaped cross section consisting of exterior and interior facing walls 59a, 59b and a projection wall 60. The exterior and interior facing walls 59a, 59b are provided with a plurality of breakable parts 61 spaced apart in the inner and outer periphery directions. The mounting auxiliary materials 6 are adjusted by appropriately breaking the facing walls 59a, 59b with the breakable parts 61, so that the position of the inner peripheral side of the projection wall 60 is approximately the same position in the inner and outer periphery directions as the part 62 that protrudes most to the inner periphery side of the existing frame 4. 1 and 2, the visible walls 59a, 59b appear to be interfering with the existing frame 34, but in reality, they can be broken off by the breakable portions 61 so that there is no longer any interference with the existing frame 34.
Each mounting auxiliary member 6 is arranged with its exterior facing wall 59a abutting the interior facing wall of the existing frame 4, thereby positioning the mounting auxiliary member 6 in the projection direction so that the position of the interior end of the mounting auxiliary member 6 is a specified distance A (specifically, 110 mm) from the exterior end of the existing frame 4. The mounting auxiliary member 6 is fixed to the frame 5 with screws 63 inserted into the projection wall 60 from the inner periphery side.
1 and 2, the reform frame 3 is positioned in the prospective direction so that the interior end 64 of the outer perimeter frame 2 coincides with the interior end of the mounting auxiliary material 6, and is fixed to the framework 5 with screws 52 inserted from the inner perimeter side into the extensions 51 at the positions of the mounting auxiliary material 6. A brace 65 is interposed between the outer perimeter frame 2 and the mounting auxiliary material 6 as necessary.
In this renovated sash, the mounting auxiliary material 6 is installed in abutting position against the indoor side wall of the existing frame 4, and the reform frame 3 is then positioned in the prospective direction so that the indoor side end 64 of the reform frame 3 (of its outer frame 2) coincides with the indoor side end of the mounting auxiliary material 6. This means that the reform frame 3 is naturally positioned in the appropriate position in the prospective direction, and the airtight materials 58a, 58b that have been previously attached to one of the cover piece 50 of the reform frame 3 and the outdoor side wall of the existing frame 4 are tightly adhered to the other, thereby sealing off the space between the reform frame 3 and the existing frame 4 on the outside of the room.
Furthermore, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, this remodeled sash has an existing frame side waterproof tape 7 attached across the existing frame 4 and the mounting auxiliary material 6, a screw-hiding waterproof tape 66 attached across the front wall 60 of the mounting auxiliary material 6 and the interior side front wall 59b, and a reform frame side waterproof tape 8 across the reform frame 3 and the mounting auxiliary material 6. The screw-hiding waterproof tape 66 hides the screws 63 that attach the mounting auxiliary material 6 to the main body 5, and the reform frame side waterproof tape 8 hides the screws 52 that attach the reform frame 3 to the main body 5. Each waterproof tape 7, 8, 66 uses commercially available waterproof tape of an appropriate width and is attached by continuously sticking it around the periphery of the existing frame 4 and the reform frame 3.
In this way, this remodeled sash has the existing frame side waterproof tape 7 attached across the existing frame 4 and the mounting auxiliary material 6, and the reform frame side waterproof tape 8 attached across the mounting auxiliary material 6 and the reform frame 3, so that even if rainwater seeps in between the reform frame 3 and the existing frame 4 from the outside, it can prevent the rainwater from seeping in to the inside of the room. By providing the mounting auxiliary material 6 on the periphery of the opening 26 and attaching the waterproof tapes 7, 8 to the mounting auxiliary material 6, a smooth attachment surface for the waterproof tapes 7, 8 can be ensured, and the waterproof tapes 7, 8 can be attached neatly, resulting in high water-stopping properties. In addition, it is easier to work with the existing frame side waterproof tape 7 and the reform frame side waterproof tape 8 separately than to attach a single waterproof tape across the existing frame 4 and the reform frame 3. Furthermore, the screws 63 that attach the mounting support material 6 to the main body 5 are hidden by waterproof tape 66 for hiding the screws, which prevents rainwater from entering the main body 5 through the holes in the screws 63.
As shown in Figures 1, 2, and 4, multiple reinforcing members 24 made of metal plates are provided on the outer peripheral sides of the vertical frame 67 and upper frame 68 of the reform frame 3 at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the frames 67, 68 (three in Figure 4). The reinforcing members 24 are provided over almost the entire width of the reform frame 3 in the projection direction, and are attached to the vertical frame 67 and upper frame 68 from the outer peripheral side by screws 69. The indoor end of the reinforcing member 24 has a hole 70 through which a screw 52 is inserted to fix the reform frame 3 to the main body 5, in accordance with the position of the hole 53 in the reform frame 3. The reform frame 3 and the reinforcing member 24 are fixed to the main body 5 on the indoor side by the screw 52.
In this remodeled sash, the reinforcing material 24 is provided on the outer periphery of the remodeled frame 3, and the remodeled frame 3 and reinforcing material 24 are both fixed to the structural body 5 on the indoor side. This makes it possible to prevent the remodeled frame 3 from tipping inward or outward with the fixed part to the structural body 5 as a fulcrum, even if the remodeled frame 3 is fixed to the structural body 5 in a cantilevered manner at one point on the indoor side end. The points regarding this reinforcing material 24 are the same for the second to fifth embodiments described below.
1, this remodeled sash has a gap adjustment part 72 disposed at the outside edge of the gap between the top surface of the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4 and the bottom surface of the bottom frame 71 of the remodeled frame 3. The height of the gap adjustment part 72 is freely adjustable according to the size of the gap. The cover piece 50 of the bottom frame 71 of the remodeled frame 3 is of a snap-in type so that it can be easily attached and detached from the outside, and the cover piece 50 hides the gap adjustment part 72.
In this way, by providing a gap adjustment part 72 in the gap between the upper surface of the lower frame 32 of the existing frame 4 and the lower surface of the lower frame 71 of the renovation frame 3, it is possible to prevent the lower frame 71 of the renovation frame 3 from deforming so that the outside side sags.
The resin frame 27 is made of a resin extruded material, and as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, has a projection surface 73 that extends from the interior side of the new frame 1 to the resin angle 39, and a facing surface 74 that extends from the interior end of the projection surface 73 toward the outer periphery. The resin angle 39 of the new frame 1 is screwed to the projection surface 73 from the inner periphery with a screw 75. The facing surface 74 has a plurality of breakable parts 76 spaced apart in the inner and outer periphery directions on the exterior side of the room, and the facing surface 74 can be appropriately broken off with the breakable parts 76 according to the distance from the existing frame 34 to the resin angle 39 of the new frame 1, so that the facing dimension can be adjusted. An angle-shaped decorative material 77 is attached to the existing frame 34, and the decorative material 77 hides the gap between the tip of the facing surface 74 and the existing frame 34.
This remodeled sash has a good design because the existing frame 4, mounting auxiliary material 6, and reform frame 3 are hidden by the resin frame 27 by attaching the resin frame 27 in this way. Moreover, the resin frame 27 is formed with an L-shaped cross section by the projection surface 73 that continues with the resin angle 39 of the new frame 1, and the projection surface 74 that extends from the interior end of the projection surface 73 to the outer periphery, further improving the interior design.
Next, the construction procedure for this remodeled sash will be explained. First, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, the mounting auxiliary material 6 is attached to the indoor side of the existing frame 4 with screws 63. At this time, the mounting auxiliary material 6 has the visible walls 59a, 59b appropriately broken off with the breakable parts 61, and the visible dimensions are adjusted so that the part 62 protruding most toward the inner periphery of the existing frame 4 and the visible wall 60 of the mounting auxiliary material 6 are approximately on the same plane in the visible direction, and then the visible wall 59a on the outdoor side of the mounting auxiliary material 6 is abutted against the indoor side wall of the existing frame 4 and positioned in the visible direction for installation.
Next, the existing frame side waterproof tape 7 is attached across the existing frame 4 and the mounting auxiliary material 6, and the screw concealing waterproof tape 66 is attached across from the visible wall 60 of the mounting auxiliary material 6 to the existing frame 34.
Next, the reform frame 3 is assembled. The reform frame 3 is assembled by covering the outer peripheral frame 2 from the outer peripheral side while positioning the upper frame 45, the lower frame 46, and the left and right vertical frames 47, 47 around the previously framed new frame 1 with the positioning parts 54, butting the end faces of the upper and lower frames 45, 46 against the inner peripheral side surfaces of the vertical frames 47, 47 via the sealing material 56, and screwing the screws 103 inserted into the vertical frames 47 from the side into the tapping holes 48 of the upper and lower frames 45, 46 to form a frame. After that, the reinforcing material 24 is attached to the outer peripheral side surfaces of the vertical frames 47, 47 and the upper frame 45. The reform frame 3 may be assembled at the construction site of the remodeled sash, but it can also be assembled in a factory and transported to the construction site.
Next, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, the reform frame 3 in which the new frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2 are integrated as described above is fitted from the outside of the room into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached, and the reform frame 3 is positioned in the prospective direction so that the indoor end (indoor end of the outer peripheral frame 2) 64 of the reform frame 3 coincides with the indoor end of the mounting auxiliary material 6. In addition, the cover piece 50 of the lower frame 71 of the reform frame 3 is temporarily removed, and the height of the gap adjustment part 72 is adjusted to match the size of the gap between the lower frame 32 of the existing frame 4 and the lower frame 71 of the reform frame 3, and then the cover piece 50 is attached. After that, the reform frame 3 is fixed to the frame from the inner periphery side on the indoor side with the screw 52. After that, the reform frame side waterproof tape 8 is attached across the mounting auxiliary material 6 and the reform frame 3.
Thereafter, the resin frame 27 is attached from the inside of the room.
25 and 26 show a modified example of the first embodiment of the retrofit sash, which is applied to a bathroom window. The differences from a normal living room window (see Figs. 1 and 2) will be described below.
First, the waterproof tape 66 for hiding screws is extended to the outer periphery, and its outer periphery end is adhered to the frame (frame 34). Next, the waterproof tape 104 for the reform frame is provided continuously for four peripheries, straddling the interior side of the new frame 1 and the interior side of the outer periphery frame 2. Furthermore, the gap between the tip of the facing piece 74 of the resin frame 27 and the existing frame 34 is sealed with a sealant 105 instead of being hidden with an angle-shaped decorative material 77.
In this way, the renovated sash of this embodiment can prevent water from entering the frame from the bathroom side when water is splashed on it from the bathroom side.
As described above, this remodeled sash is easy to install because the new frame 1, which is framed on all four sides, is surrounded by the outer frame 2, and the new frame 1 and the outer frame 2, when integrated, are fitted into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached from the outside of the room, and the outer frame 2 is fixed to the main body 5. This eliminates the need to process the existing frame 4 or attach components to the inner side of the existing frame 4, making it easy to install. Fixing the outer frame 2 to the main body 5 from the inside of the room further improves workability.
Figure 9 shows a second embodiment of the remodeled sash of the present invention. This remodeled sash is applied to a sliding window like the first embodiment, but differs in that the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4 has an angle 78. The mounting auxiliary material 79 on the bottom frame 32 side is a roughly strip-shaped part made of aluminum material. This mounting auxiliary material 79 has a breakable part 80 on the underside of the exterior side, and the projected dimension can be adjusted by breaking it off at the breakable part 80. This mounting auxiliary material 79 is positioned in the projected direction so that the interior end is a certain dimension A (specifically, 110 mm) from the exterior end of the existing frame 4, and the exterior part is overlapped on the angle 78 of the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4, and the interior part is fixed to the frame 5 with screws 63.
Figure 10 shows a jig 81 used to position the mounting auxiliary material 79 in the prospective direction. This jig 81 is a plate-shaped member cut to fit the outer shape of the bottom frame 71 of the reform frame 3, and has an abutment portion 82 that abuts against the exterior end of the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4, and a recess 83 that can store the mounting auxiliary material 79. As shown in Figures 10(a) and (b), the mounting auxiliary material 79 is stored in the recess 83, and the abutment portion 82 is abutted against the exterior end of the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4 while the jig 81 is applied from above to the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4, so that the mounting auxiliary material 79 is positioned so that its interior end is a certain distance A from the exterior end of the bottom frame 32 of the existing frame 4.
In this way, the mounting auxiliary material 79 is positioned so that its indoor end is a certain distance A from the outdoor end of the existing frame 4 and fixed to the main body 5, and the reform frame 3 is positioned so that the indoor end 64 of the reform frame 3 and the indoor end of the mounting auxiliary material 79 coincide with each other and fixed to the main body 5. As in the first embodiment, the gap between the cover piece 50 of the reform frame 3 and the outdoor wall of the existing frame 4 is waterproofed by the airtight materials 58a, 58b.
Fig. 11 shows a modified example of the remodeled sash of the second embodiment, in which the projected dimension B of the existing frame 4 is smaller than that of Fig. 9 (specifically, the projected dimension B of the existing frame 4 in Fig. 9 is 70 mm, and the projected dimension B of the existing frame 4 in Fig. 11 is 60 mm). Even in this case, the mounting auxiliary material 79 is mounted so that its indoor end is positioned at a certain distance A (specifically, 110 mm) from the outdoor end of the existing frame 4, and the mounting auxiliary material 79 moves indoors by the amount that the projected dimension B of the existing frame 4 has been reduced (10 mm).
Conversely, if the projected dimension B of the existing frame 4 is larger than that shown in Fig. 9, the mounting auxiliary material 79 moves to the outside of the room by that amount. If the outside end of the mounting auxiliary material 79 protrudes outside the room beyond the inside wall of the existing frame 4 when the mounting auxiliary material 79 is moved to the outside of the room, the mounting auxiliary material 79 is broken off by the breakable portion 80 to reduce the projected dimension of the mounting auxiliary material 79.
Figures 12 and 13 show a third embodiment of the remodeled sash of the present invention. In this embodiment, the remodeled sash is made of an L-shaped cross-section material in which the upper frame 45 and vertical frame 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 are integrally molded with a portion 84 extending in the projection direction and a cover piece 50 extending to the outer perimeter on the outside of the room. In this way, by making the upper frame 45 and vertical frame 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 into integrally molded shapes, the number of parts can be reduced, and the time and effort required to assemble the reformed frame 3 can be saved.
In addition, as shown in Fig. 14, the remodeled sash of this embodiment has a reinforcing plate 25 provided on the outer periphery of the vertical frame 47 of the outer periphery frame 2. That is, the reinforcing plate 25 is disposed at two positions, the upper and lower, of the outer peripheral side surface of the vertical frame 47 of the outer periphery frame 2, at the side of the upper frame 45 and the lower frame 46 of the outer periphery frame 2, and the reinforcing plate 25 and the vertical frame 47 are fastened together to the upper frame 45 and the lower frame 46 by screwing the screws 103 penetrating the reinforcing plate 25 and the vertical frame 47 from the outer peripheral side into the tapping holes 48 of the upper frame 45 and the lower frame 46. A sealant 56 is interposed between the longitudinal end faces of the upper frame 45 and the lower frame 46 and the inner peripheral side surface of the vertical frame 47. The reinforcing plate 25 has its outer end abutted against a cover piece 50 protruding toward the outer peripheral side of the vertical frame 47.
In this way, even when a reinforcing plate 25 is provided on the outer periphery of the vertical frame 47 of the outer periphery frame 2, just as in the case where a reinforcing plate 25 is provided on the outer periphery of the vertical frame 37 of the newly constructed frame 1, the vertical frame 47 can be prevented from deforming so as to spread outward toward the outer periphery when the shoji screens 28, 29 are closed with force, and watertightness can be maintained.
Figures 15 and 16 show a fourth embodiment of the remodeled sash of the present invention. In this embodiment of the remodeled sash, the existing frame 4 is a sash frame with a storm shutter 85. As shown in Figure 15, the upper frame 31 of the existing frame has a guide groove 86 that guides the upper part of the storm shutter 85 and projects to the outside of the room, and the lower frame 32 of the existing frame 4 has a rail 87 that guides the lower part of the storm shutter 85 and projects to the outside of the room.
As in the first embodiment, the outer frame 2 of the renovation frame 3 is a split type consisting of a main member 49 consisting of an upper frame 45 and a vertical frame 47 extending in the expected direction, and a cover piece 50 attached in a removable manner to the exterior end of the main member 49, and an auxiliary material 22 is attached to the upper frame 45 instead of the cover piece 50.
The auxiliary material 22 has an engagement portion 88 that engages with the main member 49 of the upper frame 45, and a facing piece 89 that overlaps with the hanging piece 20 of the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4 in the prospective direction, and a dry sealant 23 is provided on the indoor side of the facing piece 89, which is pressure-bonded to the outdoor side face of the hanging piece 20. With the engagement portion 88 engaged with the main member 49 of the upper frame 31, the auxiliary material 22 has its lower portion fixed to the outdoor side face of the main member 49 with screws 90 from the outdoor side.
16, the cover piece 50 of the vertical frame 47 is the same as that in the first embodiment, and the portion interfering with the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4 is removed by a breakable portion 55. A dry sealant 91 is provided on the indoor side of the cover piece 50 of the vertical frame 47, and this sealant 91 is continuous with the sealant 23 of the auxiliary material 22 of the upper frame 45. A dry sealant 92 is also provided on the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4, and this sealant 92 and the sealant 91 of the cover piece 50 of the vertical frame 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 are pressure-bonded.
In the remodeled sash of this embodiment, as in the first embodiment, the reformed frame 3, which is an integrated new frame 1 and outer peripheral frame 2, is fitted from the outside of the room into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached, and the outer peripheral frame 2 is fixed to the main body 5 on the inside of the room. When fitting the reformed frame 3 into the opening 26 from the outside of the room, the auxiliary material 22 of the upper frame 45 of the outer peripheral frame 2 is removed, and after the reformed frame 3 is fixed to the main body 5, the auxiliary material 22 with the sealing material 23 is attached to the outside surface of the main member 49 of the upper frame 45 with screws 90, and the space between the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4 and the upper frame 45 of the reformed frame 3 is waterproofed.
In this way, the remodeled sash of this embodiment has a removably attached auxiliary material 22 on the outdoor side surface of the upper frame 45 of the reformed frame 3, and the auxiliary material 22 has a sealing material 23 that seals the gap between the hanging piece 20 on the inner periphery of the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4, so that with the auxiliary material 22 removed, the reformed frame 3 is fitted from the outdoor side into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached, and then the auxiliary material 22 is simply attached to the outdoor side surface of the upper frame 45 to seal the gap between the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4 and the upper frame 45 of the reformed frame 3, making it easy to install. The auxiliary material 22 has a visible piece 89 that overlaps with the hanging piece 20 of the existing frame 4 in the prospective direction, making it easy to provide the sealing material 23 between the auxiliary material 22 and the hanging piece 20 of the existing frame 4.
By forming the outer peripheral frame 2 of the reform frame 3 by dividing it into a main member 49 and a cover piece 50, it is possible to flexibly respond to differences in the shape of the existing frame 4 and differences in fit into the wall by changing the shape of the cover piece 50.
17 and 18 show a fifth embodiment of the remodeled sash of the present invention. In the remodeled sash of this embodiment, the existing frame 4 is a sash frame with a storm shutter 85, as in the fourth embodiment.
In the reform frame 3, the upper frame 45 and the vertical frame 47 of the outer peripheral frame 2 are integrally molded with the portion 84 extending in the projection direction and the outdoor cover piece 50, as in the third embodiment. As shown in FIG. 17, the upper frame 45 of the outer peripheral frame 2 has the cover piece 50 broken off at the breakable portion 55 near the base so as not to get in the way when fitting the reform frame 3 into the opening 26 from the outdoor side.
A reinforcing material 19 is attached to the hanging piece 20 on the inner periphery of the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4 by adhering it with double-sided tape 93. The reinforcing material 19 has a projection piece 94 at its lower end that faces the outer periphery side of the reform frame 3. The gap between the projection piece 94 of the reinforcing material 19 and the outdoor side end of the upper frame 45 of the outer periphery frame 2 is sealed by filling it with a wet sealant 21. Reference numeral 95 in Fig. 17 denotes a backup material that receives the sealant 21.
18, the vertical frame 47 of the outer peripheral frame 2 of the reform frame 3 has the portion of the cover piece 50 that interferes with the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4 broken off and removed with the breakable portion 55, and the gap between the vertical frame 47 of the outer peripheral frame 2 and the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4 is sealed by filling it with a wet sealant 96. The sealant 21 between the upper frame 31 of the existing frame 4 and the upper frame 45 of the outer peripheral frame 2 and the sealant 96 between the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4 and the vertical frame 47 of the outer peripheral frame 2 are continuous.
In this way, the renovated sash of this embodiment can be easily constructed even when the existing frame 4 is a sash with a storm shutter 85 by fitting the reformed frame 3 from the outside into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached with the cover piece 50 of the outer peripheral frame 2 appropriately broken off, attaching the auxiliary material 19 to the hanging piece 20 on the inner peripheral side of the existing frame 4, and sealing the gap between the outer peripheral side of the reformed frame 3 and the auxiliary material 19 with a sealing material 21. Since the auxiliary material 19 has a projection piece 94 that faces the outer peripheral side of the reformed frame 3, it is easy to provide the sealing material 21 between the auxiliary material 19 and the reformed frame 3.
Figures 19 and 20 show a sixth embodiment of the remodeled sash of the present invention. This remodeled sash is applied to a back door and includes a remodeled frame 3 that is fitted from the outside into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached and fixed to the frame 5, and a door 98 that is attached to the vertical frame 67a on the hanging side of the remodeled frame 3 by a hinge 97 so that it can be opened by rotating to the outside.
As shown in Figures 19 and 20, the reform frame 3 is composed of a new frame 1 and an outer peripheral frame 2 that surrounds the new frame 1 on three sides, namely above, to the left and right.
The new frame 1 is made of an upper frame 35, a lower frame 36, and left and right vertical frames 37, 37, which are all made of aluminum material. The new frame 1 is made of a typical back door frame with the fins for fixing the frame to the body removed, just like the first embodiment.
19 and 20, the outer peripheral frame 2 is formed by a three-sided framework consisting of an upper frame 45 made of aluminum material and left and right vertical frames 47, 47. More specifically, the longitudinal end face of the upper frame 45 is butted against the inner peripheral side faces of the vertical frames 47, 47 via a sealer, and the framework is formed by threading screws inserted into the vertical frames 47 from the side into tapping holes 48 in the upper frame 45.
The upper frame 45 and the left and right vertical frames 47 are each composed of two members, a main member 49 extending in the projection direction, and a cover piece 50 that is detachably attached to the exterior end of the main member 49 and extends toward the outer periphery, as in the first embodiment. The main member 49 has an extension portion 51 that extends toward the interior side from the interior wall of the new frame 1, and the extension portion 51 has a hole 53 through which a screw 52 for fixing the reform frame 3 to the framework 5 is inserted. The main member 49 also has a positioning portion 54 that engages with the new frame 1, and the outer periphery frame 2 can be positioned in the projection direction by engaging the positioning portion 54 with the new frame 1 from the outer periphery side. The cover piece 50 has a plurality of breakable portions 55 on the interior side at intervals in the inner and outer periphery directions, and the projection dimension can be changed by appropriately breaking off the breakable portions 55 according to the shape of the existing frame 4.
19 and 20, airtight materials 57a, 57c, and 57d are provided continuously on three sides in the gap between the outer peripheral side surface of the new frame 1 and the inner peripheral side surface of the outer peripheral frame 2. These airtight materials 57a, 57c, and 57d are provided at the positions where the fins for fixing the frame body of the new frame 1 are broken off. This prevents rainwater from entering the room through the gap between the new frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2.
In addition, as shown in Figure 19, airtight material 99 is also provided in the gap between the inner side surface of the lower frame 31 of the existing frame 4 and the outer side surface of the lower frame 71 of the reform frame 3, and this airtight material 99 is continuous with the airtight materials 57a, 57c, 57d provided in the gap between the outer side surface of the newly constructed frame 1 and the inner side surface of the outer frame 2 described above.
In addition, airtight materials 58a, 58b are continuously provided in the gap between the cover piece 50 of the upper frame 45 of the outer perimeter frame 2 and the outdoor side wall of the upper frame of the existing frame 4, and in the gap between the cover piece 50 of the vertical frame 47 of the outer perimeter frame 2 and the outdoor side wall of the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4. This prevents rainwater from entering the gap between the reform frame 3 and the existing frame 4.
19 and 20, airtight materials 10a, 10b that seal the gap between the inner peripheral side surface of the existing frame 4 and the vertical frame 47 and the upper frame 45 of the outer peripheral frame 2 are provided along the longitudinal direction on the outer peripheral side surfaces of the vertical frame 47 and the upper frame 45. The airtight materials 10a, 10b are provided at approximately the same positions in the prospective direction as the airtight materials 57a, 57c, 57d that are provided in the gap between the new frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2. The airtight materials 10a, 10b are also provided at approximately the same positions as the airtight materials for the door 98 of the existing frame 4 were attached (reference numeral 100 in FIG. 19 is an airtight material holder to which the airtight material for the door 98 of the existing frame 4 was attached).
21, a corner airtight material 9 is provided on the outer periphery of the corner portion between the upper frame 45 and the vertical frame 47 of the outer periphery frame 2 to connect the tight-fitting material 10a of the vertical frame 47 and the tight-fitting material 10b of the upper frame 45. The corner airtight material 9 has portions 11a, 11b that overlap longitudinally with the tight-fitting material 10a of the vertical frame 47, a portion 12 with which the end face of the tight-fitting material 10a of the vertical frame 47 abuts, portions 13a, 13b that overlap longitudinally with the tight-fitting material 10b of the upper frame 45, and a portion 14 with which the end face of the tight-fitting material 10b of the upper frame 45 abuts, and the corner airtight material 9 connects the tight-fitting material 10a of the vertical frame 47 and the tight-fitting material 10b of the upper frame 45. The corner airtight material 9 has portions 11a, 11b, 13a, 13b that overlap longitudinally with the weatherstripping materials 10a, 10b on both the indoor and outdoor sides of the vertical and horizontal weatherstripping materials 10a, 10b, and these portions clamp the longitudinal ends of the weatherstripping materials 10a, 10b from the indoor and outdoor directions. The corner airtight material 9 can be attached to the outer perimeter frame 2 with adhesive, double-sided tape, etc.
As described above, this remodeled sash seals the gap between the existing frame 4 and the outer frame 2 with the waterproof materials 10a, 10b provided on the outer peripheral side of the vertical frame 47 and the upper frame 45 of the outer frame 2, and the corner airtight material 9 that connects the vertical and horizontal waterproof materials 10a, 10b. Even if rainwater penetrates into the gap between the existing frame 4 and the outer frame 2 beyond the airtight materials 58a, 58b on the outside of the room, the vertical and horizontal waterproof materials 10a, 10b and the corner airtight material 9 stop the water, preventing further penetration of rainwater into the room. The corner airtight material 9 has parts 11a, 11b, 13a, 13b that overlap the waterproof materials 10a, 10b in the longitudinal direction on both the outside and inside of the vertical and horizontal waterproof materials 10a, 10b, and clamps the longitudinal ends of each waterproof material 10a, 10b from the inside and outside of the room, thereby increasing the reliability of the watertightness of the corner parts.
22 and 23, this remodeled sash is fitted from the outside of the room into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached with the new frame 1 and outer peripheral frame 2 integrated together, and the outer peripheral frame 2 is fixed to the frame 5 from the inside of the room with screws 52. Furthermore, the bottom frame 36 of the new frame 1 is also fixed to the frame 5 from the inside of the room with screws 101.
In this way, this remodeled sash is easy to install because the new frame 1, which is framed all around, is surrounded by the outer frame 2 on three sides (left and right and above), and the new frame 1 and the outer frame 2, when integrated, are fitted into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached from the outside of the room, and the outer frame 2 is fixed to the main frame 5, eliminating the need to process the existing frame 4 or attach components to the inner side of the existing frame 4. Fixing the outer frame 2 to the main frame 5 from the inside of the room further improves ease of installation.
As shown in FIG. 20, the door end vertical frame 67b of the reform frame 3 has a lock receiver 16 attached to its inner peripheral side that engages with a latch lock 102 attached to the door 98. A spacer 17 is provided between the outer peripheral side of the door end vertical frame 67b of the reform frame 3 near the lock receiver 16 and the inner peripheral side of the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4, and the spacer 17 narrows the gap 18 between the door end vertical frame 67b of the reform frame 3 and the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4. In the illustrated example, the spacer 17 is screwed to the outer peripheral side of the door end vertical frame 67b, but the spacer 17 may also be screwed to the inner peripheral side of the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4.
In this remodeled sash, since the reform frame 3 is fixed to the main body 5 only on the inside of the room, as shown in Figure 24 (a), when negative pressure is applied to the door 98 and the door 98 is pushed to the outside of the room, the lock receiver 16 is pulled by the latch lock 102 and the door-end vertical frame 67b attempts to fall outward, using the fixed part with the screw 52 to the main body 5 as a fulcrum. However, as mentioned above, a spacer 17 is provided between the outer peripheral side of the door-end vertical frame 67b of the reform frame 3 near the lock receiver 16 and the inner peripheral side of the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4, and the spacer 17 narrows the gap 18 between the door-end vertical frame 67b of the reform frame 3 and the vertical frame 33 of the existing frame 4, so that the spacer 17 prevents the door-end vertical frame 67b from falling and prevents the latch lock 102 from coming off the lock receiver 16.
24(b) shows a comparative example without the spacer 17. As shown in the figure, without the spacer 17, when negative pressure acts on the door 98 and the door 98 is pushed to the outside of the room, the latch lock 102 pulls the lock receiver 16, causing the door end vertical frame 67b to fall significantly to the outer periphery with the fixed part with the body 5 as a fulcrum, causing the latch lock 102 to come off the lock receiver 16, and the door 98 to open by itself.
As described above, this renovated sash (first, second, third, fourth and fifth embodiments) comprises a new frame 1 and an outer peripheral frame 2, the new frame 1 being framed on all four sides and the outer peripheral frame 2 being framed around the periphery of the new frame 1, and the new frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2 being integrated together are fitted into the opening 26 to which the existing frame 4 is attached from the outside of the room, and the outer peripheral frame 2 is fixed to the main body 5, making it easy to install.
The ease of installation is further improved by fixing the outer peripheral frame 2 to the structural frame 5 from the inside of the room. In addition, the outer peripheral frame 2 is provided with an extension 51 that extends to the inside of the room, and the extension 51 is fixed to the structural frame 5 with screws 52 from the inner peripheral side, thereby making it possible to maximize the opening area of the remodeled sash.
The outer peripheral frame 2 has positioning sections 54 whose constituent frames 45, 46, 47 regulate the movement of the newly constructed frame 1 in the indoor and outdoor directions, and the constituent frames 45, 46, 47 are placed over the outer periphery of the newly constructed frame 1 and positioned using the positioning sections 54 to frame the outer peripheral frame 2, making it easy to frame the outer peripheral frame 2.
The new frame 1 has fins 40 for fixing to the main body broken off, and the outer peripheral frame 2 is formed by covering the outer periphery of the new frame 1 with its constituent frames 45, 46, 47, and airtight materials 57a, 57b, 57c, 57d are provided at the positions in the gaps between the outer peripheral frame 2 and the new frame 1 where the fins 40 of the new frame 1 were broken off, thereby preventing rainwater and cold air from entering the room through the gaps between the new frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2.
Sealing material 56 is provided at the joint between the end faces of the horizontal frames (upper and lower frames) 45, 46 of the outer peripheral frame 2 and the vertical frame 47 of the outer peripheral frame 2, and the longitudinal ends of the horizontal airtight materials 57a, 57b extending along the horizontal frames 45, 46 of the outer peripheral frame 2 and the vertical airtight materials 57c, 57d extending along the vertical frames 47, 47 of the outer peripheral frame 2 abut against the sealing material 56, thereby reliably preventing the infiltration of rainwater and the like through the corners of the gap between the newly constructed frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2.
In addition, since the longitudinal ends of the horizontal airtight materials 57a, 57b abut against the longitudinal ends of the vertical airtight materials 57c, 57d, it is possible to reliably prevent the infiltration of rainwater and the like through the corners of the gap between the newly constructed frame 1 and the outer peripheral frame 2.
