Description

This disclosure relates to a piping unit.

Conventionally, plumbing units equipped with sanitary equipment such as a toilet, a washbasin, and a waste sink are known (for example, as described in Patent Document 1 below). The plumbing unit is a unit made up of plumbing such as a water supply pipe and a drain pipe. The plumbing unit is installed in a toilet room or the like. Generally, a baseboard is attached to the bottom end of the plumbing unit with adhesive or double-sided tape.

A baseboard is attached to the bottom end of the piping unit. This makes it difficult to use the space below the piping unit for storage, etc.

This disclosure was completed based on the above circumstances, and aims to provide a piping unit that can effectively utilize the lower space.

The piping unit of the present disclosure comprises an upper plate disposed on the upper surface of the frame body, a front plate disposed on the front surface of the frame body, and a front lower end frame disposed on the lower end of the front surface of the frame body and extending laterally, and the front lower end frame is detachable from the frame body.

<Embodiment>
As shown in Fig. 1, the piping unit U is a waste sink unit used by a person who has artificially added an excretory opening to his/her abdomen, for example, when flushing or washing waste accumulated in a pouch. The waste sink unit is installed in a multi-purpose toilet room or the like. In the following, each component will be described with the sink section 10 side (positive side of the X-axis in Fig. 1) as the front side, the opposite side (negative side of the X-axis in Fig. 1) as the rear side, the upper side (positive side of the Z-axis in Fig. 1) as the upper side, the lower side (negative side of the Z-axis in Fig. 1) as the lower side, the right side (positive side of the Y-axis in Fig. 1) facing the sink section 10 as the right side, and the left side (negative side of the Y-axis in Fig. 1) as the left side.

As shown in FIG. 1, the piping unit U has a sink section 10 and a unit body 11. The sink section 10 is provided on the front side of the unit body 11. In addition to the sink section 10, accessories are provided on the front side of the unit body 11. The accessories include a water outlet 12 and a handle 13A of a faucet 13.

As shown in FIG. 2, the unit body 11 has a frame 14, an upper plate 15, a front plate 16, a side plate 17, and a lower side end member 18. The side plate 17 is attached to the side of the unit body 11 that does not contact the wall W of the toilet room, as necessary. In this embodiment, a case will be described in which the left side of the unit body 11 contacts the wall W of the toilet room, and the side plate 17 is attached to the right side of the unit body 11.

As shown in FIG. 2, the frame 14 has a frame body 20 and a front lower end frame 50. The frame body 20 has a first frame 21, a second frame 22, a third frame 23, a side panel fixing member 24, and a wall fixing member 25. The first frame 21 extends in the up-down direction. The second frame 22 extends in the left-right direction. The third frame 23 extends in the front-rear direction.

As shown in FIG. 2, a pair of first frames 21 are provided on the left and right sides of the frame body 20. The first frames 21 are located on the front side of the frame body 20.

As shown in FIG. 2, the second frame 22 is provided on the front surface of the frame body 20. The second frame 22 is provided on the upper end and middle portion of the frame body 20. The left and right ends of the second frame 22 are fixed to the left and right first frames 21. The second frame 22 at the upper end connects the upper ends of the left and right first frames 21. A drainage flange 26 and the like are attached to the second frame 22 at the middle portion.

As shown in FIG. 2, the third frame 23 is provided at both the left and right ends of the upper surface of the frame body 20. The front end of the third frame 23 is fixed to the upper end of the first frame 21.

As shown in FIG. 2, the side panel fixing member 24 is provided on the right side surface of the frame body 20. Multiple side panel fixing members 24 are arranged at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction. Each side panel fixing member 24 is elongated in the front-rear direction. The front end of each side panel fixing member 24 is fixed to the first frame 21.

As shown in Figure 2, the wall fixing members 25 are provided at the upper and middle parts of the frame body 20. The upper wall fixing member 25 is fixed to the left and right third frames 23 by welding. The upper wall fixing member 25 has a hose guide 27, a bracket 28 for the vacuum breaker 33 (see Figure 14), and a tank plate 29. The middle wall fixing member 25 is fixed to the middle second frame 22 by welding. The wall fixing member 25 is fixed to the wall surface W of the toilet room with screws.

The front lower end frame 50 is disposed at the front lower end of the frame body 20, as shown in FIG. 2. The front lower end frame 50 is detachable from the frame body 20. The front lower end frame 50 will be described in detail later.

As shown in FIG. 2, the upper plate 15 is disposed on the upper surface of the frame body 20. The upper plate 15 has a rectangular shape that is long in the left-right direction.

As shown in FIG. 2, the front panel 16 is disposed on the front surface of the frame body 20. The front panel 16 is divided into three parts in the vertical direction. The front panel 16 has an upper front panel 16A, a middle front panel 16B, and a lower front panel 16C.

As shown in FIG. 3, the upper front plate 16A, the middle front plate 16B, and the lower front plate 16C are all rectangular. The left and right dimensions of the upper front plate 16A, the middle front plate 16B, and the lower front plate 16C are the same. The left and right ends of the upper front plate 16A, the middle front plate 16B, and the lower front plate 16C overlap the front surface of the first frame 21. The vertical dimensions of the upper front plate 16A, the middle front plate 16B, and the lower front plate 16C are different. The vertical dimension of the upper front plate 16A is smaller than the vertical dimensions of the middle front plate 16B and the lower front plate 16C. The vertical dimension of the middle front plate 16B is larger than the vertical dimensions of the upper front plate 16A and the lower front plate 16C. The sink section 10 is located in the center of the middle front plate 16B in the left and right direction. The lower end of the sink section 10 is located lower than the upper end of the lower front plate 16C.

As shown in FIG. 3, the upper front plate 16A covers the front side of the upper end of the frame body 20. When the upper front plate 16A is removed from the unit body 11, an upper opening 39 is formed at the upper end of the unit body 11 (see FIG. 11).

As shown in FIG. 3, the middle front panel 16B covers the front side of the vertical middle part of the frame body 20. The sink section 10, the spout 12, and the handle 13A are provided on the front surface of the middle front panel 16B.

As shown in FIG. 3, the lower front panel 16C covers the front side of the lower end of the frame body 20. When the lower front panel 16C is removed from the unit body 11, a lower opening 41 is formed at the lower end of the unit body 11 (see FIG. 4).

As shown in FIG. 2, the side panel 17 is a rectangle that is long in the vertical direction. As shown in FIG. 3, the lower edge of the side panel 17 is located above and away from the floor surface F of the toilet room. The upper edge of the side panel 17 is located above the upper surface of the upper panel 15.

As shown in FIG. 3, a cleaning tank 32, a vacuum breaker 33, and the like are arranged in the upper space 31 of the unit body 11. The cleaning tank 32 is arranged in the center of the upper space 31 in the left-right direction. The vacuum breaker 33 is arranged in the upper right corner of the upper space 31.

As shown in FIG. 3, the piping 34 and electric water heater 43 (storage items) are installed in the lower space 42 of the unit body 11. The left side of the lower space 42 is the piping space 35. The piping 34 is a drain pipe 36 and a water supply pipe 37. The water supply pipe 37 is for the flush tank 32 and the faucet 13. The piping 34 rises from the floor surface F of the toilet room. A stop valve 38 is attached to each of the water supply pipes 37 (see FIG. 4). The electric water heater 43 is located on the right side of the lower space 42.

As shown in FIG. 4, the front lower end frame 50 is a plate that is long from side to side. The front lower end frame 50 stands roughly perpendicular to the floor surface F of the toilet room. Both left and right ends of the front lower end frame 50 are fixed to the lower ends of the left and right first frames 21. A design surface 51 is provided on the front surface of the front lower end frame 50. As shown in FIG. 3, the design surface 51 is exposed forward below the lower front panel 16C.

As shown in FIG. 5, the front lower end frame 50 includes a first member 52 and a second member 53. The first member 52 and the second member 53 are made of different materials. The first member 52 is made of metal. The second member 53 is made of stainless steel. The first member 52 and the second member 53 are stacked in the front-to-back direction. The second member 53 has a design surface 51.

As shown in FIG. 6, the first member 52 is fixed to the lower end of the frame main body 20 by a fixing part 54. The fixing part 54 is a screw. The first member 52 has fixing parts 55 that are fixed to the left and right first frames 21. The fixing parts 55 are provided at both the left and right ends of the first member 52. The fixing parts 55 are fixed to the front surface of the first frame 21. The fixing parts 55 protrude upward from the upper edge of the main body part 56. The left fixing part 55 protrudes leftward from the left edge 56L of the main body part 56. The right fixing part 55 protrudes rightward from the right edge 56R of the main body part 56.

As shown in FIG. 7, the second member 53 is fixed to the main body 56 of the first member 52. The front surface of the main body 56 is the fixing surface of the second member 53. As shown in FIG. 4, the main body 56 is a rectangle elongated in the left-right direction. The left-right dimension of the main body 56 is smaller than the distance between the left and right first frames 21. The left edge 56L of the main body 56 is located to the right of the left first frame 21. The right edge 56R of the main body 56 is located to the left of the right first frame 21. As a result, as shown in FIG. 7, when the first member 52 is fixed to the frame main body 20, the front surface of the lower end of the left and right first frames 21 (fixing surface of the side lower end member 18 described later) is exposed. The main body 56 is provided with a front plate fixing portion 57 to which the lower front plate 16C is fixed (see FIG. 9). The front plate fixing portion 57 is provided on the upper edge of the main body 56. The front plate fixing portion 57 has a screw hole.

As shown in FIG. 7, a recess 58 is formed on the upper edge of the first member 52. The recess 58 is formed by the upper edge of the main body 56, the right edge of the left fixing part 55, and the left edge of the right fixing part 55. The recess 58 is formed in the center of the first member 52 in the left-right direction. The lower edge of the first member 52 fixed to the frame main body 20 is located above and away from the floor surface F of the toilet room. The lower edge of the first member 52 extends horizontally and is generally parallel to the floor surface F of the toilet room (see FIG. 4).

As shown in FIG. 5, the second member 53 has a rectangular shape that is long in the left-right direction. The left-right dimension of the second member 53 is greater than the left-right dimension of the main body 56 of the first member 52. When the second member 53 is fixed to the first member 52, both left and right ends of the second member 53 protrude to the left and right from the main body 56 of the first member 52. The lower edge of the second member 53 is located lower than the lower edge of the first member 52. The front surface of the second member 53 is the design surface 51.

As shown in FIG. 7, the second member 53 is fixed to the front surface of the first member 52 with an adhesive. As shown in FIG. 4, the second member 53 is fixed to the first member 52 so that its lower edge is aligned with the floor surface F of the toilet room. The left and right ends of the second member 53 cover the front surfaces of the lower ends of the left and right first frames 21.

As shown in FIG. 7, the side lower end member 18 is fixed to the left and right lower ends of the frame body 20. The side lower end member 18 is fixed to either the side plate fixing member 24 or the lower end of the first frame 21. The side lower end member 18 is a plate member that is long in the front-to-rear direction. The vertical dimension of the side lower end member 18 is equal to the vertical dimension of the second member 53.

As shown in FIG. 7, each side lower end member 18 has a lower end member main body 59 and a lower end member fixing portion 61. The lower end member main body 59 is rectangular in shape and is long in the front-to-rear direction. The lower end member fixing portion 61 is provided at the front end of the lower end member main body 59. The lower end member fixing portion 61 is perpendicular to the lower end member main body 59. The lower end member fixing portion 61 is adhered to the front surface of the first frame 21. The left and right ends of the second member 53 cover the front surface of the lower end member fixing portion 61 (see FIG. 4).

As shown in FIG. 7, the side lower end member 18 has a second design surface 62. The second design surface 62 has the same design as the design surface 51. The second design surface 62 is provided on the left face of the left lower end member main body 59, the right face of the right lower end member main body 59, and the front face of the lower end member fixing part 61. The second design surface 62 is exposed to the outside at the lower end of the unit main body 11 (see FIG. 1). The design surface 51 of the front lower end frame 50 and the second design surfaces 62 of the left and right side lower end members 18 are continuous along the floor surface F of the toilet room.

Next, an example of the installation procedure for the piping unit U will be described. First, as shown in FIG. 2, the frame body 20 is installed at the installation location for the piping unit U. The wall fixing member 25 of the frame body 20 is fixed to the wall surface W of the toilet room with screws. Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the first member 52 of the front lower end frame 50 is temporarily fixed to the frame body 20 with the fixing part 54.

Next, as shown in FIG. 7, the side bottom end member 18 is attached to the frame body 20. The side bottom end member 18 is attached to the side panel fixing member 24 and the first frame 21 by applying double-sided tape 63. At this time, the side bottom end member 18 on the side to which the side panel 17 is not attached is aligned with the bottom end member body 59 against the wall surface W of the toilet room. This prevents a gap from being formed between the wall surface W of the toilet room and the side bottom end member 18 (see FIG. 4).

After the side lower end member 18 is attached to the frame body 20, the second member 53 is attached to the first member 52. Specifically, first, double-sided tape 63 is attached to the front surface of the main body 56 of the first member 52. Next, the lower edge of the second member 53 is aligned with the floor surface F of the toilet room, and the second member 53 is fixed to the first member 52 so that no gap is formed between the lower edge of the second member 53 and the floor surface F of the toilet room. At this time, the distance between the left edge of the second member 53 and the left edge of the left side lower end member 18, and the distance between the right edge of the second member 53 and the right edge of the right side lower end member 18 are made uniform. By fixing the second member 53 to the first member 52, the front lower end frame 50 is attached to the frame body 20.

Next, as shown in FIG. 8, the side panel 17 is attached to the frame body 20. The side panel 17 is fixed to the side panel fixing member 24 with a screw. After that, the water stop valve 38 is attached to the water supply pipe 37 by reaching into the lower space 42 from the lower opening 41, and the holder 44 is attached to the frame body 20. After that, the electric water heater 43 is installed on the holder 44. When installing the electric water heater 43, the front lower end frame 50 is removed from the frame body 20. After installing the electric water heater 43, the front lower end frame 50 is attached to the frame body 20.

Next, the lower front plate 16C, the middle front plate 16B, and the upper front plate 16A are temporarily fixed to the frame 14. First, as shown in FIG. 9, the lower front plate 16C is attached to the frame 14. Specifically, the lower front plate 16C is fixed to the first member 52 of the front lower end frame 50 with the screws S.

Next, as shown in FIG. 10, the middle front plate 16B and the upper front plate 16A are attached to the frame body 20, and the sink section 10 is attached to the middle front plate 16B. The middle front plate 16B is placed on the upper edge of the lower front plate 16C and screwed to the frame body 20. The upper front plate 16A is placed on the upper edge of the middle front plate 16B and screwed to the frame body 20. At this time, care should be taken to ensure that there are no gaps between the lower edge of the middle front plate 16B and the upper edge of the lower front plate 16C, and between the lower edge of the upper front plate 16A and the upper edge of the middle front plate 16B. The sink section 10 is attached to the front surface of the middle front plate 16B.

Next, as shown in Figure 11, remove the upper front panel 16A, reach into the upper space 31 through the upper opening 39, and secure the bracket 28 for the vacuum breaker 33 to the wall fixing member 25 (see Figure 14). Next, attach the water outlet 12 to the middle front panel 16B, pass the hose of the water outlet 12 through the hose guide 27, and attach the faucet 13 to the middle front panel 16B.

Next, as shown in FIG. 12, the lower front panel 16C and the front lower end frame 50 are removed from the frame body 20, and the electric water heater 43 is taken out from the lower space 42. Specifically, the screws S that fixed the lower front panel 16C are first loosened, and the lower front panel 16C is slid downward and removed forward. Next, the fixing parts 54 that fixed the front lower end frame 50 are loosened, and the front lower end frame 50 is removed from the frame body 20. As a result, as shown in FIG. 13, the lower opening 41 is widened to the floor surface F of the toilet room. The lower opening 41 has a left-right dimension that is the same as the distance between the left and right first frames 21, and most of the lower space 42 is exposed to the front. The stop valve 38 and the electric water heater 43 are exposed to the front by the lower opening 41. The electric water heater 43 is removed from the lower space 42, and the electric water heater 43 and the faucet 13 are connected to the stop valve 38 for the faucet 13 by hoses not shown.

Next, as shown in FIG. 14, the cleaning tank 32 and vacuum breaker 33 are installed, and then the upper front plate 16A is attached to the frame body 20. Specifically, the cleaning tank 32 is inserted into the upper space 31 through the upper opening 39 (see FIG. 11) and installed on the tank plate 29. The cleaning tank 32 and the stop valve 38 for the cleaning tank 32, and the cleaning tank 32 and the electric water heater 43 are connected with hoses not shown. The electric water heater 43 is stored in the lower space 42 (see FIG. 13), and the front lower end frame 50 and the lower front plate 16C are attached (see FIG. 9). The vacuum breaker 33 is attached to the bracket 28 for the vacuum breaker 33, as shown in FIG. 14. Then, the upper front plate 16A is attached to the frame body 20.

Next, the upper plate 15 is attached to the upper surface of the frame body 20. Specifically, hook-and-loop fasteners are attached to the upper surface of the frame body 20, and the upper plate 15 is placed on top (see Figure 1). This completes the installation of the piping unit U.

Next, the operation and effects of the embodiment configured as described above will be explained.

The piping unit U comprises a frame body 20, an upper plate 15, a front plate 16, and a front lower end frame 50. The upper plate 15 is disposed on the upper surface of the frame body 20. The front plate 16 is disposed on the front surface of the frame body 20. The front lower end frame 50 is disposed at the front lower end of the frame body 20 and extends in the horizontal direction. The front lower end frame 50 is detachable from the frame body 20. With this configuration, the front of the lower space 42 can be opened up to the floor surface F by removing the front lower end frame 50 from the frame body 20, and the piping unit U can be returned to its original state by attaching the front lower end frame 50 to the frame body 20. Therefore, the lower space 42 can be effectively used for storage, etc.

The front lower end frame 50 has a design surface 51 exposed forward below the front plate 16. This configuration improves the appearance of the piping unit U.

The front lower end frame 50 comprises a first member 52 and a second member 53. The first member 52 is fixed to the frame body 20. The second member 53 is fixed to the first member 52. The second member 53 has a design surface 51. With this configuration, after the first member 52 is fixed to the installed frame body 20, the position of the second member 53 can be adjusted while the second member 53 is fixed to the first member 52. This can improve the appearance of the piping unit U.

The second member 53 is fixed to the first member 52 so that its lower edge is aligned with the floor surface F. This configuration eliminates the gap between the lower edge of the second member 53 and the floor surface F, improving the appearance of the piping unit U.

The piping unit U has a side lower end member 18. The side lower end member 18 is arranged at the left and right lower ends of the frame body 20. The side lower end member 18 has a second design surface 62. The second design surface 62 has the same design as the design surface 51. With this configuration, the same design is visible continuously from the front of the lower end of the frame body 20 to the left and right side surfaces, improving the appearance of the piping unit U.

An electric water heater 43 is installed in the lower space 42 of the frame body 20. With this configuration, the lower space 42 of the piping unit U can be effectively utilized, making the piping unit U compact.

The front panel 16 is detachable from the frame body 20. This configuration makes it easy to temporarily attach the front panel 16 to the frame body 20, remove it, and then reattach it.

<Other embodiments>
The present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described above and illustrated in the drawings, and for example, the following embodiments are also included within the technical scope of the present disclosure.
(1) In the above embodiment, the piping unit U is a waste sink unit. However, the piping unit is not limited to this and may be a toilet unit having a toilet bowl, a washbasin unit having a washbasin, or the like.
(2) In the above embodiment, the front panel 16 is divided into three parts in the vertical direction. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the front panel may be divided into two parts or four or more parts.
(3) In the above embodiment, the front surface lower end frame 50 is formed by bonding two members (the first member 52 and the second member 53). However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the front surface lower end frame may be formed of a single member.
(4) In the above embodiment, the electric water heater 43 is installed in the lower space 42 of the frame body 20. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and items other than the electric water heater may be stored in the lower space.
