Description
The present invention relates to an online gas analyzer, a method of operating an electrostatic precipitator, and a method of operating a desulfurization tower.
Unrefined coke oven gas, which is generated when coal is carbonized to produce coke, is a mixture of yellow-brown gas and water vapor. This unrefined coke oven gas contains flammable gases such as hydrogen, hydrocarbons such as methane and ethane, and carbon monoxide.
At the same time, unrefined coke oven gas also contains components such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, benzene, naphthalene dust, and tar mist. Therefore, when using coke oven gas as fuel gas, it is necessary to purify the coke oven gas in order to reduce the environmental impact such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, and black smoke generation at the place of use, and to prevent pipe blockage. There is. Therefore, generally, coke oven gas purification equipment is installed to remove ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, benzene, naphthalene, and tar from unrefined coke oven gas to produce purified coke oven gas.
FIG. 1 shows an example of coke oven gas purification equipment. The crude coke oven gas generated from the coke oven consists of a primary cooler (PC), a naphthalene scrubber (NS), an electrostatic precipitator (EP), a desulfurization tower, an ammonium sulfate crystallizer (desulfurization equipment), a final cooler (FC), It is purified through various purification steps in equipment such as a benzol scrubber (BS) and used as purified coke oven gas. In many of these facilities, depending on the component to be removed from the coke oven gas, the circulating fluid is brought into contact with the coke oven gas to absorb and remove a predetermined component, and a process is also performed to remove the absorbed component. The circulating fluid is regenerated and brought into contact with coke oven gas again, repeating the cycle.
By the way, when operating these facilities, it is necessary to take measures such as changing the amount of circulating fluid that circulates through the facilities and adjusting the amount of chemicals such as catalysts added to the facilities in response to fluctuations in various components in the coke oven gas. Operation is required. Therefore, it is necessary to appropriately analyze the components of coke oven gas in the refining process.
However, since unrefined coke oven gas contains a lot of condensable mist such as tar and water, and dust such as sublimable naphthalene and coke powder, coke oven gas must be continuously sampled and gas analyzed online. It was difficult to do so because the filters had to be replaced frequently.
For this reason, until now, online continuous component analysis of coke oven gas has only been able to measure purified coke oven gas with a small amount of condensable mist and sublimable naphthalene. In this case, continuous measurement of refined coke oven gas involves detecting the gas components after passing through each refining equipment, and changes in the concentration of a given component of the coke oven gas actually being processed in each refining equipment. There is a problem in that the detection is delayed.
In addition, in conventional online continuous component analysis of gases, component analysis is often performed using gas chromatography, but due to the measurement principle, batch processing is required, which has the drawback of time delays mainly due to the presence of retention time. Ta.
Therefore, in order to detect changes in the composition of coke oven gas being processed in each refining facility as close as possible to the facility, it is necessary to manually detect unrefined coke oven gas using detection tubes and portable measuring equipment. The only option was to carry out continuous measurements. In this case, it is economically unreasonable to deploy specialized personnel, so measurements must be carried out once every 4 or 8 hours, and when a change in the composition of coke oven gas occurs. However, it is not possible to detect these changes in real time.
Therefore, with such discontinuous measurement of gas component analysis, it is not possible to measure the removal rate and concentration fluctuations of gas components in each refining process in real time, resulting in delays in operational actions and the need to There was a problem of operating at excess capacity, resulting in waste.
Under these circumstances, it has been desired to measure gases containing many impurities, such as unrefined coke oven gas, online and in real time.
Conventionally, a known device for analyzing the component concentration of a gas to be measured passing through a pipeline is one that irradiates the gas to be measured with laser light via a connecting pipeline connected to the pipeline through which the gas to be measured flows, and analyzes the concentration of a specific component based on the amount of laser light absorbed by the gas to be measured (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
Recently, improvements in semiconductor technology have made it possible to irradiate laser beams of various wavelengths, and laser gas analyzers that can analyze various components have been provided. For this reason, gas composition analysis using a semiconductor laser, which does not require a filter and has the advantage of less time delay, has been increasingly introduced.
However, when analyzing unrefined coke oven gas, condensable mist, naphthalene, etc. contained in the gas condense on the inner walls of the pipes and connecting pipes, blocking the optical path of the laser beam, making it impossible to measure correctly. There was a case.
As an example of introducing such unrefined coke oven gas into an analyzer, a sample gas collection pipe that has been prevented from condensing by heating, a heated electric filter, and a heated cotton filter are used to collect condensable mist, naphthalene, etc. An analyzer has been proposed that performs gas analysis after removing dust and cooling with a cooler (for example, see Patent Document 2).
However, in the analyzer as described in Patent Document 2, since the coke oven gas is passed through an electric filter, there is a risk that an explosion may occur due to an increase in oxygen concentration due to a hole in the sample gas sampling pipe. Additionally, due to the risk of blockage of the cotton filter and the large size of the sample gas collection pipe and equipment, the transit time for gas to flow from the sampling point to the analyzer becomes longer, resulting in a delay in obtaining analysis results. There was a problem.
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and its purpose is to provide an online gas analysis system that can continuously and online analyze the concentration of a predetermined component in unrefined coke oven gas. The object of the present invention is to propose an apparatus, and a method of operating an electrostatic precipitator and a method of operating a desulfurization tower using the online gas analyzer.

According to the present invention, the concentration of a predetermined component in unrefined coke oven gas can be analyzed online and continuously.
(online gas analyzer)
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 2 shows a preferred example of an online gas analyzer according to the present invention. The
The
The sample
When the temperature of unrefined coke oven gas decreases, condensable mist and naphthalene as described above may condense, causing problems such as blockage of pipes. Although such blockage of the pipe can be suppressed by increasing the flow rate of the gas flowing through the pipe, a
Instead of installing the
The temperature of unrefined coke oven gas varies depending on the location where the gas is collected, but is approximately 20°C to 85°C, so the temperature of the gas at the sampling location can be maintained by installing the
The
The
A
With such a configuration, when the sample gas S is introduced from the sample
In this way, when analyzing the components of unrefined coke oven gas using laser light, the influence of the condensed mist-like components in the sample gas S flowing through the
As shown in FIG. 2, it is preferable to configure the cross-sectional area of the
For example, by making the cross-sectional area of the
The
The light receiving part 33 is connected to the
The analysis unit 34 analyzes the concentration of a predetermined component (e.g., oxygen, hydrogen sulfide) in the sample gas S from information on the laser light emitted from the
In the present invention, as shown in FIG. It has a small diameter and is inserted into the measuring
Note that, as shown in FIG. 3(b), suppressing
Furthermore, it is important that each of the connecting
Therefore, in the present invention, connecting
As the inert gas introduced into the
The inert gas is kept at a higher temperature than in the
In principle, the measurement pipe is designed to prevent the inert gas introduced into the
More simply, while detecting the concentration of the component to be measured in the sample gas S in the sample
The
The
It is also preferable to install drains (not shown) in the
The two

(How to operate an electrostatic precipitator)
The method of operating an electrostatic precipitator according to the present invention includes connecting one
One important purpose of gas component analysis in the coke oven gas purification equipment shown in FIG. 1 is detection of oxygen concentration in an electrostatic precipitator (EP). In other words, in coke oven gas purification equipment, the oxygen concentration in the coke oven gas decreases due to deterioration of the coke oven oven body, deterioration of the dry main, holes due to corrosion in the intake equipment, inflow of odor from the odor pipe, etc. It can rise. Such an increase in oxygen concentration may cause abnormal combustion in the electrostatic precipitator, leading to an explosion.
In this regard, in conventional methods, analysis of gas component concentration can only be performed after the benzol scrubber (BS) process in the coke oven gas purification equipment shown in Figure 1, and the analysis of oxygen concentration in the electrostatic precipitator It was not possible to detect changes quickly.
On the other hand, according to the
(Desulfurization tower operating method)
The method for operating a desulfurization tower according to the present invention includes connecting one
Another important purpose of gas component analysis in the coke oven gas purification equipment shown in FIG. 1 is to detect the hydrogen sulfide concentration in the desulfurization tower. That is, in the desulfurization tower of the coke oven gas purification equipment illustrated in FIG. Hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into the desulfurization solution by contacting it with a desulfurization solution containing ammoniacal picric acid as a catalyst, and the desulfurization solution after absorption is guided to a regeneration tower that constitutes a part of the desulfurization tower. The hydrogen sulfide is oxidized by contacting the air with the desulfurization liquid in the reactor, the solid sulfur is separated, and the catalyst is regenerated. Then, the desulfurization liquid containing the regenerated catalyst is again guided to the upper part of the absorption tower and sprayed, and the desulfurization liquid is circulated between the absorption tower and the regeneration tower. At this time, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the coke oven gas may increase depending on the amount of desulfurization liquid circulated and the regeneration status of the catalyst in the regeneration tower.
However, as described above, conventional gas analysis methods have not been able to promptly detect changes in the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the desulfurization tower.
In response to this, the
The amount of coke oven gas generated that is treated in the desulfurization tower varies depending on the operation of the coke oven. For example, it increases or decreases due to the number of empty coke ovens due to repair of the coke oven or light charging due to deterioration of the oven wall. Furthermore, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide changes depending on the blend of high sulfur content coal used. That is, during operation when the amount of coke produced is small and the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is low, the load on the desulfurization tower is reduced.
Coke oven gas and desulfurization liquid are cooled with seawater or ring water, and the temperature of the desulfurization liquid varies depending on the season. For example, in the winter when the temperature of the desulfurization liquid is low, the absorption efficiency is high, so the load on the desulfurization tower is reduced compared to the summer.
From the above, the desulfurization tower load fluctuates depending on the operating conditions of the coke oven and changes in temperature, and low-load operation may be performed. At this time, it is possible to reduce the power consumption of the circulating liquid pump by reducing the amount of desulfurizing liquid circulated in the absorption tower or by lowering the position of the sprayer that sprays the desulfurizing liquid.

Using the
(Comparative example)
As in the invention example, the oxygen concentration in the sample gas S was measured. However, one
FIG. 4 shows the variation in oxygen concentration in the sample gas (ie, unrefined coke oven gas) for the inventive example and the comparative example. From FIG. 4, it can be seen that in the comparative example, the oxygen concentration fluctuates relatively gently, whereas in the invention example, the oxygen concentration fluctuates steeply. This indicates that the oxygen concentration of coke oven gas can be analyzed with good sensitivity using the online gas analyzer of the present invention.
In addition, from FIG. 4, the time at which the corresponding oxygen concentration is detected differs by about 11 minutes between the invention example and the comparative example. It can be seen that it can be detected quickly. Furthermore, it can be seen that the corresponding oxygen concentration between the invention example and the comparative example is 0.8% lower in the comparative example. This is considered to be because in the comparative example, the detection of oxygen concentration fluctuations was delayed compared to the invention example, so that more oxygen was consumed by the regeneration reaction (NH 4 SH + 1/2O 2 → NH 4 OH + S) in the desulfurization tower.
According to the present invention, components in unrefined coke oven gas can be analyzed online and continuously, which is useful in the steel industry.
