また、幼稚園や保育園或いは小学校等では、図工の教材として用いる粘土として、種々の色の粘土が望まれており、その色が工作時に手に着かないことが望まれている。
工作時に手が粘土の色で染まることを防止することを謳う先行技術としては、特開2017-111224号公報(特許文献2)、特開2006-058867号公報(特許文献3)を挙げることができる。
ここで、特許文献2は、植物由来の色素を混合した粘土について、その色素が手に付着することを防止するものであり、鮮やかな色合いの合成色素については、付着を防止できないと思われる。また、植物由来の色素を混合しているため、品質保持のためには、防腐剤の添加が必須になると思われる。
また、特許文献3は、相対的に高価な牛乳由来の脱脂粉乳、カゼイン、カゼインナトリウム、カゼインカルシウム、カゼインカリウム、カゼインマグネシウムの何れか1種以上を、色移り防止剤として添加するものであるため、コスト的な問題がある。また、北海道という一地域に産地が偏在している牛乳由来であるため、災害時等、安定的・継続的に材料を入手できるかという問題もある。

なお、CMC及び米粉とともに、コーンスターチ、メチルセルロース、マンナン粉、多糖類の1種以上を追加的に用いて実施例1と同様に配合した場合も、良好な結果を得た。
同様に、ジメチルポリシロキサンに代えて、及び/又は、ジメチルポリシロキサンとともに、ヒアルロン酸ナトリウム、グリセリン、プロピレングリコールの1種以上を用いて実施例1と同様に配合した場合も、良好な結果を得た。
また、塩化カルシウムを配合することにより、本発明の目的に適う粘土を得られるとともに、防腐効果や防黴効果を得られた。
また、表の評価には示さなかったが、タルクを配合することにより、剥離性、硬化性、軟化防止、付着防止に、良好な結果を得た。
また、硫酸カルシウムを配合することにより、抗菌効果を得られた。
