一般的な意味では、識別値は、何らかの方法で人の歯肉の健康に関連する情報を表し、人の歯肉の健康を表す出力を決定する目的に使用するのに適していると見なすことができる。前述の第1及び第2のステップの後に、識別値が試料中の血液の存在を示す値であるかどうかの判定を含む更なるステップが続くことも可能である。斯かる更なるステップは特に、識別値を、試料中の血液の存在を示す値の範囲の所定の限界値を表す基準値と比較することを含み得る。ユーザに知らせる目的のために、識別値が試料中の血液の存在を示す値であることが分かった場合に警告信号が発せられると有利であり得る。そのために、本発明によるシステムは、任意の適切なタイプのインジケータを備えても良い。
-主波長に関する測定値から補助波長に関する測定値を減算する、
-主波長に関する測定値を補助波長に関する測定値で除算する、
-補助波長に関する測定値と主波長に関する測定値との差分値をこれら波長の差分値で除算する、及び
-補助波長に関する測定値と主波長に関する測定値との差分値をこれら測定値の加算値で除算する。
-発光ユニットは、主波長及び補助波長のみで光を放出するように構成され、この場合、発光ユニットは、2つ以上のLEDを含むことが実用的であり得、LEDの一部は、主波長で光を放出するように構成され、LEDの別の部分は、補助波長で光を放出するように構成され、
-受光ユニットは、2つ以上のバンドパスフィルタ/光検出器の組み合わせを含み、1つ以上のバンドパスフィルタ/光検出器の組み合わせのバンドパスフィルタは、主波長の光のみを通過させるように構成され、1つ以上の他のバンドパスフィルタ/光検出器の組み合わせのバンドパスフィルタは、補助波長の光のみを通過させるように構成される。
Claims (13)
- 人の口内において口腔ケア動作を行うよう構成された口腔ケア器具と、前記口腔ケア動作中又は後に収集される人の唾液を含む試料において血液が存在するかどうかの評価に基づいて前記人の歯肉の健康の指標を提供するように構成されたシステムとのアセンブリであって、前記システムが、前記試料に光を発するよう構成された発光ユニットと、前記試料から戻る光を受けるよう構成された受光ユニットと、前記受光ユニットにより受けられた光の解析を実行し、前記人の歯肉の健康を表す出力を提供するように構成され、少なくとも1つのアルゴリズムを実行するよう構成された解析ユニットと、を有し、前記アルゴリズムにより、
前記受光ユニットにより受けられた光の測定値が、血液の成分によるより高い光吸収に関連する光の1つ以上の主波長について、及び前記血液の成分によるより低い光吸収に関連する光の1つ以上の補助波長について、決定され、
前記測定値に基づいて識別値が決定され、前記識別値の決定の工程において、主波長に関連する測定値が、1つ以上の補助波長に関連する測定値を用いて調節され、背景の影響について前記主波長に関連する前記測定値を補正し、
前記試料を収集するために特に形成された前記口腔ケア器具における領域が存在し、
前記システムの少なくとも前記発光ユニット及び前記受光ユニットが、前記口腔ケア器具に組み込まれる、アセンブリ。 - 前記システムの前記解析ユニットが、前記口腔ケア器具の外側に提供され、前記口腔ケア器具が、前記解析ユニットと通信するよう設計された少なくとも1つのユニットを具備する、請求項1に記載のアセンブリ。
- 識別値は、
主波長に関連する測定値からの、補助波長に関連する測定値の減算、
補助波長に関連する測定値による、主波長に関連する測定値の除算、
補助波長と主波長との差分値による、補助波長に関連する測定値と主波長に関連する測定値との差分値の除算、及び
補助波長に関連する測定値と主波長に関連する測定値との加算値による、補助波長に関連する測定値と主波長に関連する測定値との差分値の除算
のうちの1つにより決定される、請求項1又は2に記載のアセンブリ。 - 前記システムの前記解析ユニットにより実行されるべき前記少なくとも1つのアルゴリズムは、前記識別値が、試料中の血液の存在を示す値であるか否かを決定する更なるステップを有する、請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記システムが、前記識別値が、試料中の血液の存在を示す値であると見出された場合に、警告信号を発するよう構成されたインジケータを有する、請求項4に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記主波長は、ヘモグロビンの光吸収が高い波長であり、前記補助波長は、ヘモグロビンの光吸収が低い波長である、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記主波長は、410乃至430nmの範囲内であり、及び/又は前記補助波長は、440nm以上である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記システムの前記発光ユニットは、前記主波長及び前記補助波長のみで光を発するよう構成され、及び/又は、前記受光ユニットは、2つ以上のバンドパスフィルタ又は光検出器の組み合わせを有し、1つ以上のバンドパスフィルタ又は光検出器の組み合わせのバンドパスフィルタは、前記主波長における光のみを通過させるよう構成され、1つ以上の他のバンドパスフィルタ又は光検出器の組み合わせのバンドパスフィルタは、前記補助波長における光のみを通過させるよう構成された、請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載のアセンブリ。
- プロセッサを含むモバイル装置を有し、前記システムの前記解析ユニットは、前記モバイル装置の前記プロセッサを有し、前記解析ユニットにより実行されるべき前記少なくとも1つのアルゴリズムは、前記モバイル装置にインストールされたアプリケーションにより定義される、請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載のアセンブリ。
- 前記モバイル装置は、照明及び画像チップを更に有し、前記システムの前記発光ユニットは、前記モバイル装置の前記照明を有し、前記システムの前記受光ユニットは、前記モバイル装置の画像チップを有する、請求項9に記載のアセンブリ。
- 人の唾液を含む試料において血液が存在するかどうかの評価に基づいて前記人の歯肉の健康の指標を提供する方法であって、
口腔ケア器具を用いる口腔ケア動作が前記人の口内において行われ、
前記人の唾液を含む前記試料が、前記口腔ケア動作中又は後に収集され、
光が前記口腔ケア器具に組み込まれた発光ユニットから前記試料に発せられ、前記試料から戻って前記口腔ケア器具に組み込まれた受光ユニットで受けられ、解析され、
前記試料から戻って受けられた光の測定値が、血液の成分によるより高い光吸収に関連する光の1つ以上の主波長について、及び血液の成分によるより低い光吸収に関連する光の1つ以上の補助波長について、決定され、
前記測定値に基づいて識別値が決定され、前記識別値の決定の工程において、主波長に関連する測定値が、1つ以上の補助波長に関連する測定値を用いて調節され、背景の影響について前記主波長に関連する前記測定値を補正し、
前記試料を収集するために特に形成された前記口腔ケア器具における領域が存在する、方法。 - 前記識別値が、前記試料中の血液の存在を示す値であるか否かが更に決定される、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記識別値が、前記試料中の血液の存在を示す値であると見出された場合に、警告信号が発せられる、請求項12に記載の方法。
