Description
正極11は、上述の通り、正極芯体30と、正極芯体30上に設けられた正極合材層31とを有する。正極芯体30には、アルミニウム、アルミニウム合金など正極11の電位範囲で安定な金属の箔、当該金属を表層に配置したフィルム等を用いることができる。正極合材層31は、正極活物質、導電材、及び結着材を含み、正極芯体30の両面に設けられることが好ましい。正極合材層31の厚みは、正極芯体30の片側で30~100μmが好ましく、40~80μmがより好ましい。正極11は、例えば正極芯体30上に正極活物質、導電材、及び結着材等を含む正極合材スラリーを塗布し、塗膜を乾燥させた後、圧縮して正極合材層31を正極芯体30の両面に形成することにより作製できる。
負極12は、上述の通り、負極芯体40と、負極芯体40上に形成された負極合材層41とを有する。負極芯体40には、銅などの負極12の電位範囲で安定な金属の箔、当該金属を表層に配置したフィルム等を用いることができる。負極合材層41は、負極活物質、及び結着材を含み、負極芯体40の両面に形成されることが好ましい。負極合材層41の厚みは、負極芯体40の片側で30~100μmが好ましく、40~80μmがより好ましい。負極12は、負極芯体40上に負極活物質、結着材等を含む負極合材スラリーを塗布し、塗膜を乾燥させた後、圧縮して負極合材層41を負極芯体40の両面に形成することにより作製できる。
セパレータ13には、イオン透過性及び絶縁性を有する多孔性シートが用いられる。多孔性シートの具体例としては、微多孔薄膜、織布、不織布等が挙げられる。セパレータの材質としては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のポリオレフィン、セルロースなどが好適である。セパレータ13は、単層構造であってもよく、積層構造を有していてもよい。また、セパレータ13の表面には、アラミド樹脂等の耐熱性の高い樹脂層が形成されていてもよい。
Claims (4)
- 正極及び負極がセパレータを介して巻回された巻回型の電極体と、前記電極体を収容する有底筒状の外装缶と、前記外装缶の開口を塞ぎ、正極端子として機能する封口体とを備える非水電解質二次電池であって、
前記電極体は、正極リードを有し、
前記正極リードは、
前記正極に接合される第1表面、及び前記第1表面と反対側の第2表面を含む金属製のリード基材と、
前記リード基材の前記第2表面において、少なくとも前記セパレータを介して前記負極と対向する範囲に形成された、無機化合物を主成分とする絶縁性のセラミック層と、
を有し、
前記正極リードは、前記封口体側に位置する第1端部と、前記第1端部と反対側の第2端部とを含み、
前記セラミック層は、前記封口体との溶接部を避けて形成されると共に、前記リード基材の前記第2表面において、さらに前記第1端部に形成されている、非水電解質二次電池。 - 前記封口体と、前記正極、前記負極、及び前記セパレータから構成される電極群との間に配置され、前記正極リードの挿通孔を有する上部絶縁板を備え、
前記セラミック層は、前記リード基材の前記第2表面において、前記第1端部、及び前記上部絶縁板よりも前記第2端部側のみに形成されている、請求項1に記載の非水電解質二次電池。 - 前記負極は、負極芯体と、当該芯体上に形成された負極合材層とを有し、
前記電極体の最外周面には、前記負極芯体が露出した芯体露出部が設けられ、
当該芯体露出部は、前記外装缶の内周面に当接している、請求項1又は2に記載の非水電解質二次電池。 - 前記正極リードには、前記セラミック層を覆う絶縁テープが貼着されている、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の非水電解質二次電池。
