Description
本発明の複合材料は、30~80wt.%のUD繊維、特に50~70wt.%のUD繊維を含むことが望ましい。そのUD繊維の面積重量は、400~4,000g/m2、特に1,000~2,000g/m2であることが望ましい。一体化されていない状態において、厚さが5~15mmであることが望ましい。
複合材料が薄いC層を付加的に含む場合には、C層の不規則な配向繊維10は、無端マットとして上層のB層の繊維不織布上に配置されるか、もしくはチョップドファイバーとしてそれらの繊維不織布上に散在する。次に、3層のすべてが互いにニードリングされる。この点について、図1に模式的に示している。
Claims (7)
- 平面状複合材料であって、
(a)互いに連結されずに平行に延びる一方向性の強化繊維粗糸(6)からなり、300g/m2より大きく、2,000g/m2までの面積重量を有する少なくとも1層のUD(一方向性の)繊維層Aと、
(b)70wt.%までの強化繊維を含み得る熱可塑性の繊維不織布(2)からなり、100~2,000g/m2の面積重量を有する不規則な配向繊維層Bを含む少なくとも1つの繊維マットとを備え、前記強化繊維の融点又は軟化点は、前記熱可塑性の繊維のそれよりも少なくとも50℃高く、前記A層及び前記B層が互いにニードリングされており、
前記不規則な配向繊維層Bを含む前記繊維マットは熱可塑性繊維不織布で構成され、前記熱可塑性繊維不織布は、熱可塑性繊維で構成されて30~70wt.%の強化繊維を含む、ニードル不織布、もしくはニードリングされていないカーディング不織布又はエアレイ式不織布であり、
前記A層の前記UD繊維は炭素繊維であり、前記B層の前記繊維不織布は30~70wt.%の再利用炭素繊維及び70~30wt.%のポリアミドを含む、平面状複合材料。 - 前記A層-前記B層の順序で層を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平面状複合材料。
- 前記A層から離間する方向を向く前記B層の面に、50~500g/m2の面積重量を有する不規則な配向強化繊維からなる繊維層Cを付加的に含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の平面状複合材料。
- はじめに前記A層の前記UD繊維が周回する無端バンド(4)上に互いに対向するように配置され、前記B層の前記繊維不織布が前記UD繊維及び前記バンドの上に載せられ、続いて前記A層及び前記B層が互いにニードリングされることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の複合材料を製造するための連続製造方法。
- 構成部品を製造するための請求項1に記載の複合材料の使用方法であって、前記複合材料から製造されるプレカット部品を、前記不規則な配向繊維のB層における前記熱可塑性物質の軟化点を超える温度で型に入れてプレスする使用方法。
- 熱可塑性の平面状の成形性半製品を製造するための請求項1に記載の複合材料の使用方法であって、前記不規則な配向繊維のB層における前記熱可塑性物質の軟化点を超える温度でダブルバンドプレスに入れてプレスする使用方法。
- 構成部品を製造するための請求項1に記載の複合材料の使用方法であって、GMT(ガラスマットで強化された熱可塑性物質)半製品又はNMT(天然繊維マットで強化された熱可塑性物質)半製品とともに前記複合材料から製造されるプレカット部品を、前記不規則な配向繊維のB層における前記熱可塑性物質の軟化点を超える温度で型に入れてプレスする使用方法。
