Description
図1は、本実施形態を適用する筒内直接燃料噴射式火花点火エンジン(以下、「エンジン」ともいう)1の、燃焼室周辺の概略構成図である。なお、図1はひとつの気筒についてのみ示しているが、本実施形態は多気筒エンジンにも適用可能である。
前述のようにしてバルブオーバーラップ期間を求めた後、バルブオーバーラップ期間を以下のようにして補正することとしてもよい。
補正後バルブO/L期間=バルブO/L期間×(補正値(液状燃料推定量)+補正値(燃料噴射量)−1)
Claims (8)
- 筒内に燃料を直接噴射する燃料噴射弁と、
吸気バルブの開期間と排気バルブの開期間とのバルブオーバーラップ期間を調整するバルブオーバーラップ期間調整機構と、
を備える筒内直接燃料噴射式エンジンを制御するエンジン制御装置において、
運転者の加速要求を検出する加速要求センサを備え、
前記加速要求がある場合であって、冷却水温センサの検出値に基づいて、エンジンの冷却水温とピストンの冠面温度との予め定められた関係から取得した前記筒内におけるピストンの冠面温度が、前記ピストンの冠面に付着した液状燃料が次サイクルまで液状で持ち越される温度として予め設定された所定温度以下である場合に、排気上死点を挟む前記吸気バルブの開期間と前記排気バルブの開期間とのバルブオーバーラップ期間を拡大させるエンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジン制御装置において、
前記ピストンの冠面にサイクル毎に付着する燃料量の積算値と、前記ピストンの冠面からサイクル毎に気化する燃料量の積算値と、の差を、前記ピストンの冠面に残存する液状燃料量として、前記液状燃料量を前記ピストンの冠面温度に基づいて推定し、
前記ピストンの冠面に残存する液状燃料量が多いほど前記バルブオーバーラップ期間を拡大させるエンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジン制御装置において、
前記筒内に噴射される燃料噴射量が多いほど前記バルブオーバーラップ期間を拡大させるエンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジン制御装置において、
前記加速要求があり前記筒内におけるピストンの冠面温度が前記所定温度以下の場合であって、かつ、前記燃料の噴射タイミングが、前記ピストンの冠面に液状燃料が付着する噴射タイミングである場合に、前記バルブオーバーラップ期間を拡大させるエンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のエンジン制御装置であって、
前記バルブオーバーラップ期間を拡大させる際に、前記排気上死点から前記排気バルブを閉にするまでの期間よりも、前記吸気バルブを開にしてから前記排気上死点までの期間が長くなるように前記バルブオーバーラップの期間を拡大させるエンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のエンジン制御装置であって、
前記拡大させられたバルブオーバーラップ期間が、前記ピストンの冠面に残存する液状燃料量及び前記筒内に噴射される燃料噴射量の少なくともいずれか一方に応じ、前記液状燃料量が多くまたは前記燃料噴射量が多いほど長くなるように、補正され、
前記ピストンの冠面にサイクル毎に付着する燃料量の積算値と、前記ピストンの冠面からサイクル毎に気化する燃料量の積算値と、の差を、前記ピストンの冠面に残存する液状燃料量として、前記液状燃料量を前記ピストンの冠面温度に基づいて推定するエンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のエンジン制御装置であって、
前記ピストンの冠面温度が前記所定温度よりも高い場合に、前記バルブオーバーラップ期間をシリンダ体積効率が最大となるバルブオーバーラップ期間に設定するエンジン制御装置。 - 筒内に燃料を直接噴射する燃料噴射弁と、
吸気バルブの開期間と排気バルブの開期間とのバルブオーバーラップ期間を調整するバルブオーバーラップ期間調整機構と、
運転者の加速要求を検出する加速要求センサと、
を備える筒内直接燃料噴射式エンジンを制御するエンジン制御方法において、
前記加速要求がある場合であって、冷却水温センサの検出値に基づいて、エンジンの冷却水温とピストンの冠面温度との予め定められた関係から取得した前記筒内におけるピストンの冠面温度が、前記ピストンの冠面に付着した液状燃料が次サイクルまで液状で持ち越される温度として予め設定された所定温度以下である場合に、排気上死点を挟む前記吸気バルブの開期間と前記排気バルブの開期間とのバルブオーバーラップ期間を拡大させるエンジン制御方法。
